Role Overview:

The Talent Set is excited to be working with a leading UK charity to recruit an Interim Individual Giving Manager for an initial 3-month contract focused on campaign delivery and supporter retention.

This is an ideal role for an experienced Individual Giving professional who can confidently step into a fast-moving environment and keep high-performing fundraising programmes running smoothly during a period of transition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of warm donor campaigns across channels such as direct mail, digital, telemarketing and print.
• Plan and manage campaign timelines, content delivery, approvals, and performance tracking.
• Evaluate campaign performance and apply a test-and-learn approach to improve future results.
• Collaborate on the design and delivery of donor journeys that strengthen supporter loyalty and long-term value.

Public Affairs Manager (Fixed term contract)

Salary: £34,237pa

Your purpose 

This is a critical role in the Communications, Campaigns and Public Affairs Department. As Public Affairs Manager, you will support the Head of Communications, Campaigns and Public Affairs to make oracy education ordinary, co-ordinating and  project managing and delivering public affairs work as well as leading public relations work that increases our profile with policy makers. In doing so, you will play  an integral role in ensuring all children, regardless of their background, find their voice for success in school  and in life.

Your responsibilities 

This is a senior role in the Communications, Campaigns and Public Affairs Department, as part of the wider Learning, Impact and Influence Directorate 

Public Affairs (80%)

• Drive forward Voice 21’s public affairs strategy, building key relationships, understanding and momentum that develops Voice 21’s influence with Government and non-parliamentary policy makers, ensuring that we have a meaningful role in shaping an oracy entitlement for every child, and appropriate mechanisms for its implementation

• Deliver Public Affairs business as usual work, for example; organising school visits, leading political and parliamentary monitoring, stakeholder mapping and horizon-scanning and organising events in parliament and at party conferences

• Work with policy makers on local, regional and national level to influence those responsible for the delivery of education at primary and secondary level

• Engage and manage stakeholders and other key people across and beyond the organisation who work with the Learning, Impact and Influence directorate to leverage relationships in pursuit of our organisational strategy and mission

• Lead on Voice 21’s role as secretariat to the Oracy All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG)

We are looking for a detailed-oriented, highly organised and proactive individual who loves the idea of helping fast-paced, ambitious organisations work more smoothly and effectively. You should be able to manage multiple priorities, work well both independently and within a team, and bring a solutions-focused approach to challenges. We are looking for someone who already has experience of working as an EA with senior leaders. 

Specifically, you will be supporting with tasks such as:

• Managing the CEO and Deputy CEO’s emails and calendars

• Supporting the CEOs to manage projects and prioritise tasks

• Creating meeting agendas and capturing minutes and action items

• Creating and sending invoices 

• Arranging travel and any reimbursements 

• Booking meeting rooms at London co-working space 

• Arranging team away days 

• Coordinating regular meetings with team members and Associates 

• Coordinating speaker briefings and follow-ups

• Assisting the CEOs with social media posts 

• Supporting key projects to ensure timelines and deliverables are met 

• Managing and scheduling internal and external meetings, working closely with other administrative and support staff in many cases

• Maintaining confidentiality in all matters

Salary: circa £40k, depending on experience

Location: UK-based, with ability to travel into London on occasion. This is a remote position, with optional access to a co-working space.

World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to people who have experienced forced migration in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers that they face when preparing for and ultimately finding work in the UK.   

We support all people who have experienced forced migration, regardless of their proximity to the labour market, to develop the skills and access the opportunities they need to secure sustainable and meaningful employment. We run STEP online and in person programmes across the UK.  

We are now expanding our work to deliver (in partnership with the British Council) an English Language and Employment Support Programme for up to 4,000 Ukrainians and Hong Kong BNO status/visa (50% of each community) over the next 12 months.

We are recruiting a Cantonese speaking Team Manager to join the STEP team delivering this new programme. You will oversee a team of Employment Advisors who provide remote support to participants, assisting them in accessing job opportunities, education and training.  

You will be responsible for providing effective leadership, guidance and support to the Employment Advisors, monitoring and managing their workflow and providing coaching and mentoring to enhance their performance. Your responsibilities will also include quality assurance of STEP programme delivery, monitoring and reporting programme outcomes and compiling and analysing data on the effectiveness of the team’s interventions and activities.  

About you

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role, preferably within a refugee support or employment-related context.
• Strong understanding of the refugee context in the UK and the challenges faced in accessing jobs, education, and training.
• Demonstrable ability to motivate, develop, and manage a team, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Experience in outcome monitoring, data analysis, and reporting.
• Advanced level of English
• Competency in Cantonese

Key Responsibilities

1. Fundraising Strategy & Planning
   • Develop, implement, and refine a multi-year fundraising strategy aligned with IAC UK’s mission and objectives.
   • Identify and explore new income streams to expand funding sources and diversify revenue.
      
2. Donor Relationship Management
   • Cultivate existing donor relationships and establish new donor networks to increase long-term engagement and support.
   • Create compelling cases for support, proposals, and campaigns that reflect IAC UK’s values and impact.
      
3. Volunteer Recruitment & Coordination
   • Oversee the recruitment, training, and retention of volunteers to support all fundraising activities.
   • Develop volunteer engagement initiatives, ensuring volunteers are well-supported and recognized for their contributions.
      
4. Event & Campaign Management
   • Plan and execute a variety of fundraising events, online campaigns, and community initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
   • Manage event logistics, supplier negotiations, and campaign communications to maximize awareness and financial return.
      
5. Budget & Financial Oversight
   • Prepare and manage the fundraising budget, monitoring income targets and expenditure.
   • Compile regular progress reports for senior leadership and trustees, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
      
6. Compliance & Governance
   • Ensure that all fundraising activities comply with UK regulations, GDPR requirements, and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
