The Role:
The Hardman Trust is at an exciting point in its development as it celebrates the arrival of its new team, the realisation of its first ever organisational strategy and looks forward to the next phase of its journey.
Our successful multi-year applications to the Lottery (Reaching Communities), City Bridge Trust and Bromley Trust means we will continue to be part-funded by them until 2027. Deeply rooted in the criminal justice sector, we plan to develop further our programme of support for those on long sentences both within and, we hope, beyond prison too; we aim to extend the reach and deepen the impact of our support and grants; and attract new partnerships with funders and like-minded third sector organisations. Last year we completed a merger with another charity which has expanded our reach and capacity.
Person Specification:

- Demonstrable senior leadership and management experience

Job Description
The Team Leader role has responsibility for the operational oversight of Redthread’s delivery within Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich, and any community work undertaken in the surrounding area. The role is to be part of the youth work team within Redthread with a primary focus on youth violence interventions in a health care setting. In this role you will lead the Youth Violence Intervention Programme team at the hospital. The team support young people aged, 11-25 years old, who present to hospital following an incident of violence of for whom them there are concerns around exploitation or extra-familial farm. You will have line management responsibility for the Youth Workers in the team, ensuring the service runs effectively for young people and also working with young people in the hospital as well as supporting them post discharge to ensure they have the support in place that they need and want. Main duties include:
- To recruit, manage, motivate, coach and develop a staff team including carrying out annual appraisals and regular supervision meetings. To manage their health, safety and wellbeing.
- To promote and embed Catch22’s vision and values in local service delivery
- To ensure all service user information, interventions and other data as required by the contract are recorded on the relevant data management system in line with Catch22’s policy.
- To manage operational risk, health and safety, governance and safeguarding issues in line with Catch22, Catch22 and Commissioner policies.
- Carry out regular case file audits as per the Audit Policy and Procedure
- Be responsible for the allocation of referrals and ensure caseload management structures are in place
- Adhere to reporting requirements, deadlines and requests, ensuring all required information is recorded accurately as instructed.
Qualifications - Essential
- Relevant level 3 or 4 qualification in health & wellbeing, youth provision or similar or demonstrable equivalent experience
Experience
- Significant experience of working with young people with challenging needs.
- Experience of Inter-agency working. Work within/ in partnership with Children’s and Family Services/ Youth Justice Services/ Youth services.
- Experience of delivering training to young people/professionals
- Working with young people in group and one-to-one settings.
- Knowledge of issues around risk and vulnerability amongst young people.
- An awareness of the current issues relating to at risk and vulnerable young people.
- Knowledge of engagement and intervention strategies.
- Knowledge of Children Act/LSCB Procedures and other appropriate youth policies.

Project Background
Come and join our award-winning place-based volunteering programme that works with residents living across Hackney and the City of London.
You will be based out in the community - the programme is based at GP practices - to engage, support and enable local residents and patients to deliver local services for themselves, to meet local needs. We support residents to come together, to share their skills and experience for the benefit of each other, to deliver local groups and activities such as a book group, film club, exercise classes or cooking group. Residents from diverse backgrounds and demographics attend these activities together and make new connections, building strong local communities, all working together to make their area a better place to live. You will be joining a nationally recognised project - having won an award from the Royal Society of Public Health in November 2024 - to support residents to fulfil their personal goals, make connections with others, and design activities and services that meet local needs. You will also be supporting people to improve their mental and physical health through signposting them to appropriate services and encouraging them to talk to their GP if they have concerns; and will be working in partnership with GP practice staff to co-create volunteer roles to make the practice more efficient and a better place to visit.

Volunteer Centre Hackney is a medium sized charity (currently 30 staff) based in the London borough of Hackney, working to support local residents to realise their skills and passions through volunteering and social action, and to share these for the benefit of others.

About you
You'll have previous service desk experience, having working in the SD environment previously, and will have excellent customer service and communication skills, being used to working in a busy service desk team. The purpose of the Hertfordshire Mind Network Community Outreach Worker role is to:

- To ensure direct contact is made with the client within a specified time of an incident being reported to the police and to carry out a risk assessment.
- To ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly.
- To maintain and enhance service delivery standards and effectiveness.
- To support the team with case management and volume of referrals to ensure a short waiting time and referrals are contacted promptly and assessed appropriately.
- To collate and obtain feedback regarding the effectiveness of the service.

We are seeking a Political Adviser to join our Politics Team at this crucial time for accelerating the shift away from oil and gas. Uplift is a campaigning and research organisation helping to move the UK towards a fossil fuel-free future and to support a just transition away from fossil fuel production.
The role
As one of Uplift’s Political Advisers, you will play a central role in building political support for the UK’s transition away from oil and gas extraction. Your role will sit within Uplift’s Politics Team, and will involve working closely within networks across Westminster. You will be a skilled communicator able to support the implementation of Uplift's political strategy, and use your initiative and political instincts to further the political debate on phasing out fossil fuels.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include:
- Support the implementation of Uplift’s public affairs strategy.
- Grow and maintain Uplift’s networks in and around Westminster, including by attending events, receptions and proactively setting up meetings with key stakeholders and decision makers.
- Write compelling briefings, and other communications suitable for a political audience.
- Monitor and advocate Uplift’s priorities in political, policy and legislative processes.
- Support the running of the Climate APPG, to which Uplift provides the secretariat, including running parliamentary events.
About you

- Experience engaging with UK parliamentary procedures, and legislative processes.
- Highly organised, with experience in programme delivery, coordination, and administration.

Key elements of the role:
- Provide a central point of contact for events and excellent customer service, dealing with incoming calls, email enquiries and requests for information or queries from colleagues and members.
- Collate, update and maintain accurate delegate and wider member data in the Federations CRM system.
- Coordinate logistical event support across all events, printing and distributing event collateral, packing and couriering equipment and managing delivery services.

Oasis Ashburton Park are now in a position to employ an experienced Youth Development Lead to work alongside wider team in Croydon. The role will be focussed on the Ashburton Park area (surrounding Oasis Academies; Arena, Shirley Park and Ryeland’s) working closely with the academies as part of Oasis Ashburton Park and the ‘100 Years of Ashburton Park’ Project funded by The Heritage Lottery Fund.
As a Youth Development Lead you will;
- Develop and oversee a Youth Advisory Panel to ensure that youth voice is central to the design of our Youth Engagement Programme and the 360 Youth Centre.
- Develop and oversee the Youth Engagement Programme as part of the ‘100 years of Ashburton Park Project’ including a range of activities in and nearby to Ashburton Park, including after school drop-in’s, evening sessions, group work and one-one mentoring.
- Support the development and engagement of young people in a Food Growing Enterprise based at Ashburton Lodge.
- Work closely with Croydon Council and other partners to support young people to engage with a wide range of programmes and activities that are part of the ‘100 years of Ashburton Park Project’.
- Deliver open access sessions, group and one to one interventions with young people including; half term, afterschool, evenings and residentials, using a planned youth work curriculum.
- Line manage youth workers, sessional youth workers and youth volunteers to plan, deliver and evaluate youth work termly.
- Contribute to the development of youth work across the area and lead on specific areas of work on behalf of the team.
Amongst other requirements, the successful post holder must have:
· Relevant experience OR qualification in Youth & Community (JNC), Social Work (QSW) or SEND.
· Proven experience working with young people ‘at risk’.
· Reliability, with a flexible approach to changes and able to work unsociable hours.
· Experience of project and/or people management
