About the Role

As a Practice Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting a team of Supervisory Social Workers to provide high-quality care. You will:

Supervise, support, and develop Supervisory Social Workers to ensure the best outcomes for children and carers.
Undertake Quality Assurance of all reports, assessments, annual reviews that have been completed by a Supervisory Social Worker for our carers.
Have a lead area to develop the service
Contribute to the matching process and placement stability.
Oversee our duty and recruitment processes
Work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including LA, commissioning teams, children, families, carers, and professionals.
Maintain accurate and timely records in line with regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with NMS and Fostering Regulations

 

We're seeking someone who is:

A qualified Social Worker (DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent) registered with Social Work England.
Experienced in fostering or children's social care.
Skilled in building strong, supportive relationships.
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Able to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends (on call rota)

Cavell is the charity that transforms the lives of nursing and midwifery professionals facing crisis and tough times. The need for Cavell has never been greater, and the charity is at its most critical point in its 108-year history as the demand for support is at an all-time high. Cavell is evolving their support offer to offer a Wellbeing Conversations service on a 12-month pilot aiming to help nursing and midwifery professionals to navigate feelings of stress, overwhelm or uncertainty.

The Role

We are looking for a compassionate, non-judgemental and empathetic individual who is experienced at supporting individuals in a Wellbeing role to co-deliver the Wellbeing Conversations Service. The successful candidate will use a blend of reflective listening, coaching-style questions, practical guidance and signposting to help nursing and midwifery professionals explore their stress, develop healthy coping mechanisms and empower them to address personal and work factors which are contributing to their stress.

This position operates as a job-share, and we are looking for someone to join the existing postholder in delivering the role.

Applicants should be comfortable working collaboratively and communicating effectively to provide seamless coverage and share responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Delivery:

• Deliver Cavell’s Wellbeing Conversations service including conducting triage calls and delivering virtual Wellbeing sessions ensuring high-quality delivery, consistency, and responsiveness to demand.
• Ensure exceptional record keeping, ensuring that all relevant data protection and privacy legislation is adhered to.
• Undertake administrative duties to support the delivery of the service, including data entry.
• Have regular peer supervision with their job-share.

Collaboration:

• Work with the Support Team, wider staff, and external stakeholders to identify common themes, challenges, and emerging issues affecting the nursing and midwifery workforce.
• Engage with referral partners and the funder to maintain effective working relationships.
• Signpost individuals to other services and sources of support, including where the Cavell Wellbeing Conversations service may not be appropriate for their needs.
• Assist the Marketing and Communications team to create collateral, capture case studies and build content kits.

Insights and Evaluation:

• Share insights and learning from wellbeing conversations to help shape and strengthen Cavell’s broader support offer and inform service development.
• Co-lead on the evaluation of the Cavell Wellbeing Conversations service including building surveys, analysing data and creating reports. 
• Share knowledge and trends with other internal and external stakeholders. 

The Ideal Candidate:

We’re looking for someone who

• Has experience of working in a wellbeing support role.
• Has experience of giving emotional support and practical guidance to individuals who are stressed or overwhelmed.
• Has experience of using coaching-style questions to help people manage stress and develop healthy coping mechanisms.
• Has excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Is fully competent with IT including Microsoft Office.
• Has effective organisation and time management skills.
• Has experience of optimising a CRM database to effectively capture and manage data.
• Has a sound understanding of the mental health support services provision nationally.
• Has an understanding or empathy for the pressures facing nursing and midwifery professionals.

The opportunity:

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with proven project management experience who is keen to develop their experience in the social investment sector as part of a mission-driven Investment Group.

Charleston is seeking a proactive and positive individual with excellent interpersonal  skills to lead the catering offer across Charleston’s two sites. The Café Manager will manage the café’s daily operations, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for all visitors. Responsibilities include developing seasonal menus, supervising staff, handling stock orders, and leading the coordination of catering for public events and venue hire.

General duties

• Lead and deliver the catering offer, growing the business and maximising profits while maintaining a high-quality service and inclusive atmosphere for all customers.
• To manage the day to day running of the catering offer, including the scheduling and management of a café team.
• Coordinate, supervise, train and develop the café team.
• Lead on the catering offer for all aspects of Charleston’s year-round programme of events.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations and Systems Manager to join our team. As Operations and Systems Manager, you will ensure SMK’s operations are well managed, and make sure that we have all the processes, technology and policies needed to operate effectively. We’re looking for someone to take initiative to improve things where needed and bring their experience from elsewhere to the team.

Flexible and Hybrid Working

Our office base is located in central London. You need to be in the office for a minimum of 1 day per week and further Team Days and Board Away Days. Travel and accommodation for working at our London office is at the job-holders own expense. As our Operations & Executive Support Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in keeping the organisation running smoothly. • Maintain accurate staff records and support internal communications.

4. Governance & Strategy Support (15%)

• Prepare and circulate Board and sub-committee papers.

• Maintain organisational policies and compliance registers.

• Monitor progress against operational plans and key performance measures.

• Support internal and external reporting requirements (funders, trustees, etc.).

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
