The Database Assistant will maintain Symplectic Grant Tracker, a key organisational database, ensuring all data is accurate and meaningful. This database holds the application portal for organisations and is how the Grants & Learning Team manage and support funded partners with their grants. You will undertake regular database administration tasks, such as adding new users, updating forms, importing data and amending the database where required by the team.
You will play a key role in the organisation around GDPR and data protection, working alongside the Database Administrator with a focus on our Salesforce databases, to ensure consistency across both systems. You’ll be working within a team that advocates for evidence-led decision making and a sustainable data culture.
You’ll be a member of the Communications & Marketing team, reporting into the Insights Manager. You’ll also be working closely with the Grants & Learning Team who are responsible for delivering our ambitious, nationwide grants programme and who currently support over 500 grassroots organisations and 18-25 year old creatives. This role will be responsible for ensuring that the correct information is stored effectively and is easily accessible, reportable and usable on Grant Tracker. The Database Assistant will assist us to demonstrate delivery against our Business Plan by programming our grants database to be the most effective at collecting and producing the data output needed by the team.

About the role
As a Digital Learning Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and developing technology-based learning solutions and resources that enable the successful delivery of specialist training courses across the Save the Children movement and the wider humanitarian sector. In this role, you will:

The People & EDI Manager will be a key member of the Global Operations Team, responsible for effective and efficient Global HR delivery at both a strategic and an operational level across the organisation. The role
The Corporate and Individual Giving Manager is responsible for generating sustainable income by identifying, engaging with, and securing funding through individuals and corporate donor relationships.
Establishing sustainable fundraising streams is a top priority for the centre. This role will play a crucial part in strengthening our strategy for Individual and Corporate Giving, with a keen focus on continuous growth. About the role
We require someone who is able to provide a range of business support functions to the Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns Department (PPC), specifically the reporting and monitoring of grants-funded projects delivered within PPC and the administration of grants out to partners including use of our international programme management system.
The post holder will champion ways of working across the department that align with Christian Aid's strategy and systems and work closely with the Data Strategy and Transformation Lead and relevant teams to drive operational excellence and innovation that leads to smooth and effective business processes. This will include the coordination of a new PPC quarterly dashboard to track progress, improve decision making and assess impact.
The post holder may also be asked to coordinate and administrate discrete projects within the department as required such as refreshing the departmental intranet on SharePoint or work collaboratively with colleagues under the direction of a project manager within project teams. You will also be required to act as short-term cover for the Director's Executive Assistant during periods of absence and provide administrative advice for PPC staff.

To thrive in this role, you will need to be comfortable with data and applying logical thinking to gathering and analysing information including the financial data required for monitoring and budgeting. You will have the ability to switch seamlessly between core tasks and project activities.
