You’ll play a key part in organising and delivering a diverse programme of events across England and Wales, from large scale shows and conferences to local community engagements and volunteer activities. To be successful, you must have experience:

• Experience in events or marketing coordination

Desirable:

About The Role
We are recruiting for a Talent and Careers Specialist to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a fixed term contract currently until the end of March 2026, with the possibility this could be extended (though this isn’t guaranteed).

As Talent and Careers Specialist you will support the Talent & Careers Manager to design, implement and manage the organisation’s apprenticeship and career development offer. This includes developing and managing apprenticeships to address skills gaps and create opportunities for both new and existing employees, while supporting managers to embed meaningful career conversations and progression pathways.

The role involves creating resources and guidance to ensure apprenticeships and career development are focused with diversity and inclusion goals, and best practice. A key aspect of the role is liaising with apprenticeship training providers to source, select and manage high-quality provision, as well as monitoring and administering the apprenticeship levy account to maximise available funding. It also requires partnering with managers and key stakeholders to ensure apprentices and their line managers have a positive experience, whilst monitoring and evaluating the impact of programmes. You will be a specialist, that combines career development planning with practical delivery and good stakeholder engagement.

Interviews for this role have been provisionally scheduled to take place on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th October.

About you
Joining us, you’ll have experience managing apprenticeships and other talent programmes and you’ll have knowledge of development practices, including work experience and internships, with an understanding of how to embed career conversations into organisational strategy.

Crucially, you’ll be able to provide career development advice and guidance to managers to address skill gaps and develop their staff through apprenticeships. This means you’ll have good communication skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, both internally and externally.

What you’ll focus on:

- Contributing to the development of talent development plans, making recommendations that support our people to have a great experience.
- Managing the Apprenticeship programme at the Society for new and existing employees.
- Providing support, guidance and expert advice to a range of teams and directorates across the Society, particularly around utilising apprenticeships to address skills gaps.
- Supporting with the creation and implementation of policies, processes and guidance on Apprenticeships and other employment initiatives as appropriate.
- Supporting with the planning and management of talent development programmes such as internships and sandwich placements.
- Ensuring equality, diversity and inclusion goals are at the forefront in any planning, delivery and review of activities.
- Sourcing, selecting, and managing training providers to deliver apprenticeship programmes that meet the needs of the different directorates.

Salary: £40,373 per annum.

Location: Our office is a short walk from King’s Cross station in London. For this role, we need someone to come into the office at least one day a week, on a Tuesday. A day where all of Income Generation come into the office. Otherwise we are proud to promote a truly hybrid work culture. You can work remotely for the rest of the time. Equally, you may prefer to work from the office full-time. There will also be an expectation for the successful candidate to be available for in-person sales meetings in London and across the UK, when needed.

The Housing Independent Gender Violence Advocate (IGVA) will be embedded within borough housing teams to facilitate the dual working that will ensure that survivors’ safety and housing needs are met. This includes:

· Close working relationships with Housing colleagues 

· Provision of specialist knowledge relating to DA for Housing Officers and Homelessness Teams to draw on 

· Specialist support for survivors at the moment of crisis 

· Provision of advocacy; supporting survivors to access safe accommodation 

· Ongoing support from the IGVA from wider DA service, including access to group clinical supervision, casework management meetings, reflective practice sessions, one-to-one supervision from service manager 

The Housing IGVA will work closely with victims of gender-based violence from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of gender-based violence at the highest risk and their children. The role will be part of increasing the ability of partner agencies to recognise, reject and respond appropriately and safely to all forms of gender-based violence (including domestic violence, sexual, financial and emotional abuse, female genital mutilation, forced marriage and honour-based violence).

The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal, housing and practical options that might increase their safety. The post holder will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support especially around complex housing needs.

The job involves ensuring that women are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options.

Executive Director of Brand, Marketing & Fundraising

Location: Any Crisis office across Great Britain, hybrid working with weekly meetings in London
Salary: £120,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent

What you’ll do

As Executive Director of Brand, Marketing & Fundraising, you will:

• Provide inspirational leadership to a talented directorate and play a vital role as part of our Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO.
• Lead the development of a multi-year fundraising plan that drives sustainable, diverse income and enables Crisis to scale its life-changing work — including our new ambition of direct housing delivery.
• Refresh and strengthen the Crisis brand, building awareness, trust and influence across Great Britain.
• Grow a thriving community of supporters, partners and advocates who stand with us to end homelessness.
• Personally steward high-value relationships and inspire others across the organisation to embrace fundraising and engagement as a shared responsibility.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who combines vision with action — a leader who brings both strategic insight and personal passion. You will have:

• A strong track record of leading fundraising and supporter engagement at scale, with experience delivering significant income growth.
• Proven success in enhancing a brand to deliver organisational priorities.
• Expertise in strategic marketing, audience engagement, digital innovation and integrated campaigns.
• Experience as part of a senior leadership team, working collaboratively and influencing at Board level.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion and co-production, ensuring that the voices of people with lived experience of homelessness inform our work.
• An inspirational leadership style that motivates, empowers and unlocks potential across teams.

About the role

In this role you will be responsible for developing, planning, executing and evaluating projects in our Strategic Change portfolio – ensuring alignment to the wider vision and strategic direction of Macmillan and maintaining a focus on outcomes.

You will be working collaboratively with Business Leads across Macmillan, you will define the project’s objectives and drive progress throughout its life cycle.

The role will be deployed flexibly in line with organisational priorities, managing standalone projects, and projects within complex, cross-organisational change programmes, to agreed time, cost and quality criteria.

This role requires candidates to have demonstrable experience of operating in a very similar or comparable role.
 

About you

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Demonstrable experience of initiating, leading, planning and executing projects and project teams to deliver within a large, complex, organisation.
• Recognised project management qualification and experience of applying waterfall and agile delivery approaches to complex projects. Change management and/or business analysis qualifications and experience would also be desirable. 
• Experience of developing robust and concise business cases including options appraisals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills, flexing and adapting to changing circumstances.
• Preferable experience of managing projects involving procurement, technology implementation, people change, service development and process improvement.
• Experience of matrix managing project teams.
