Job Title: Employment Consultant (North Wales)

Location: Home-based with significant travel across designated region

As an Employment Consultant, you will be assisting veterans across the region back into work. Based at your home, but with extensive travel, you will help with application materials, overcome challenges, and connect with employers. You will also work alongside professionals in other services such as health or welfare to ensure that the veterans have access to all the support they need to overcome barriers to gain and retain employment.

Coventry Women’s Partnership (CWP) is looking for a Policy, Voice, and Influence Lead to support our 2-year place-based systems change programme, funded by the Smallwood Trust. The programme aims to reduce gendered poverty in Coventry by tackling the systemic barriers faced in securing a safe home. This work will focus on understanding and transforming housing systems. CWP is partnership made up of Central England Law Centre, Coventry Haven Women’s Aid, CRASAC, FWT and Kairos. The contract will be with Kairos, but you will provide support across all partners.

· The Policy, Voice and Influence Lead (PVIL) will play a pivotal role in driving forward the Coventry Women’s Partnership’s (CWP) systems change agenda to improve housing and homelessness options for women to reduce gendered poverty.

Plumstead Community Law Centre is a free specialist legal advice charity located in central Woolwich in South East London. We provide specialist legal advice and advocacy in the areas of immigration, welfare benefits and employment People can access our services via telephone or email, and through the Advice Hub outreach services we attend in local community centres. We are currently looking for a Project Manager Team Lead to join us on 18 months fixed term contract

In this role you will be reporting to the Head of IT and you will manage a team of project managers and is a member of the wider Programme Delivery team in Technology, encompassing Project Management and Business Analysis.

The Project Management team focuses on delivering a wide range of technology projects from small to medium initiatives through to large scale or complex cross functional projects, working with business departments across the Royal Society of Chemistry and external suppliers. Working closely with the Programme Management Office (PMO), this role ensures effective resource allocation and project prioritisation across the portfolio.

You will be working under broad direction of senior stakeholders and the Technology director. This role will really be suited to someone interested in developing and strengthening systems and processes & providing financial oversight, whilst working with multiple stakeholders.

• Provide financial management oversight on the project, verifying project-specific transactions and ensuring that financial data is up-to-date; and ensuring adherence to the organisation’s financial policies.

Our Lancashire hub offers a range of advice, support and guidance to people in the local area, specialising in homelessness and bad housing but also assisting with related issues such as welfare benefits advice. Citizens Advice Doncaster Borough is expanding its services to provide vital, community-based support to Doncaster residents facing the challenges of the rising cost of living and energy crisis. We are seeking a dedicated individual to deliver holistic and specialist Money & Energy advice.

We are looking for a dynamic and people-focussed Finance Coordinator to take our organisation to the next phase: this is a fantastic opportunity to have a real impact at a fast-growing organisation. We have recently upgraded our finance systems to Xero and updated our processes: we now want to build on this success. The Finance Coordinator will prepare financial reports for the board and ensure compliance with financial regulations. They will work with our bookkeeper to ensure excellent day-to-day financial management. They will collaborate with our Project Leads, supporting them to set and manage budgets, report quarterly to the board, and ensure all project income and expenditure is recorded accurately in Xero. They will also use produce cashflow forecasts and scenarios using the Xero integration with Syft that Selce has implemented. They will also play a role in HR processes reviewing timesheets monthly and ensuring contracts are amended as staff roles evolve. This role is crucial in supporting the financial health and sustainability of our organisation.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

· Review financial data and prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.

· Present financial reports with variance analysis and commentary for the board.

· Support with the preparation of annual accounts, working with Selce’s nominated accountants and the Board.

· Respond to any queries from Selce’s nominated accountants or from the Board.

· Maintain accurate cash flow forecasts for all areas of the business.

· Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets.

Financial Record Keeping:

· Work with and manage our book-keeper,

· Respond to queries from the book-keeper about how best to enter transactions

· Help the book-keeper to implement excellent record-keeping

· Ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

· Ensure invoices, payments, and receipts are processed

· Ensure Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable are managed

· Manage grants correctly allocating eligible costs against grants and supporting Project Leads to report to grant givers in accordance with terms of grant

· Manage the monthly Payroll process

Compliance and Risk Management:

· Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation

· Establish and maintain financial policies, controls, and procedures for Selce

· Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to Selce

· Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes

· Review VAT and file VAT returns

· Manage interest payments to shareholders in accordance with our rules

Support Functions:

· Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

· Provide financial support and advice and training to Project Leads ensuring compliance with financial regulation and our financial policies.

· Support the CEO and the Board in various financial tasks and projects.

· Track Selce’s financial performance and identify areas for potential improvement making best use of functionality within Xero or Syft for improved efficiency or effectiveness.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

·Qualified Accountant: ACCA/ACA/CIMA or AAT level 4 part-qualified (who is working toward level 4 qualification)

· At least 2 years’ experience of working in a finance role

· Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures.

· Experience using financial software in particular Xero and Syft (or similar).

· Experience of using MS Excel including Pivot Tables & VLOOKUP

· Strong organisational and time-management skills

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to challenge and influence stakeholders

Desirable:

· Experience in the renewable energy sector.

· Experience with community-financed projects and community shares.

· Experience in a cooperative or member-led organization.

· Experience of Charities SORP (FRS 102)

Job Title: Duty Independent Gender Violence Advocate (Duty IGVA)

Location: Lambeth, London
Salary: £23,085.69 per annum, inclusive of London weighting allowance

Hours: 30 hours per week (Tuesday-Friday). Please note that the the operating hours of the service are 8AM- 6PM Monday- Friday with the expectation to work on some days 8- 4pm or 10- 6pm to cover. 

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Duty Independent Domestic Violence Advocate to be the first point of contact for women who are impacted by domestic violence. You will work closely with victims of domestic abuse from the point of crisis and other gender-based abuse to provide high quality independent support to survivors all risk levels and their children..

In this role you will be part of a busy team. You will be the first point of contact for survivors who have been referred to the Gaia Centre. The duty IGVA will be responding to daily enquiries (specify from whom- public, agencies, individuals? over the phone and email as well as contacting survivors, assessing their risks and needs.

The duty IGVA will be responsible for carrying out and implementing safety plans and needs and will ensure an effective handover to the over to the relevant GAIA team for ongoing support. The post holder will also empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. You will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options. The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.
