About the team

The Media team strategically leads on both proactive and reactive media, supporting WaterAid’s fundraising, partnerships, brand awareness and political influencing & systems change strategic priorities. The team are responsible for outreach to a range of media in the UK and globally – across traditional, consumer and digital.

The team works with Country Programmes and work on global media outreach with WaterAid Member Offices, operate a 24/7 media hotline and manages areas of reputational risk.

The Media Team consists primarily of 4 functions – News, PR, Celebrity Ambassador, and Global News. The Interim role would manage a team of 11 people and three direct line reports. The Celebrity Ambassador function sits within the team but line management of the Celebrity & Influencer Lead is with the Global & UK Director of Communications.

• Line management of the Senior News Manager, Senior PR Manager and Global Media Specialist.

To be successful, you will need:

Essential skills

• Experience of leading, managing and motivating a Media team.
• Experienced manager of people with proven ability to manage and motivate others.
• Track record of designing and delivering influential and impactful media campaigns that achieve coverage in international, national, regional, trade and online media.
• Excellent news sense and an understanding of what makes a good story for different types of media and audiences.
• Understanding of the role that media can play in shaping the political and public policy agenda, and experience of working in this critically important area.
• Strong understanding of international development communications, marketing, fundraising and advocacy activities and how media activity fits with these and can complement and advance them.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to build partnerships with key stakeholders and influence at senior levels.
• Strong relationship builder and experience of working to deliver to multiple teams’ objectives; ability to prioritise and drive integration and alignment between activities 

Desirable skills

• Experience of working across the communications mix more broadly.
• Experience in digital PR and managing this aspect within a team.

One of our many missions is to establish Sight Loss Councils across the UK, to tackle local issues and work with businesses and service providers to improve the accessibility of their services.

We are looking for an SLC Coordinator to join us to continue to grow the scope and presence we have already established in the Yorkshire and Humberside region.  We are open to considering candidates who are looking for flexible part-time working as well as those who wish to work full-time.  The salary would pro-rated for less than 36 hours per week.

About the role

The key purpose of the Coordinator role is to support the Senior Engagement Manager to deliver regional Sight Loss Councils across Yorkshire and Humberside and to engage with blind and partially sighted people across the region.  We currently have three Sight Loss Councils (SLCs) in this region, so the postholder will be expected to work alongside the Senior Engagement Manager and coordinate the SLCs activity, focusing on the retention of the volunteers engaged and making sure the projects and work they are involved in, continue with success.

You will have the passion and ability to use your lived experience to influence change, for the benefit of blind and partially sighted people. As an experienced Coordinator, you will engage and support Sight Loss Council members in the implementation of the region’s business plans to bring about change across transport, health and the built environment, as well as areas of local interest such as arts and culture or retail.

You will be a self-starter and work well on your own but will also enjoy being a part of a national team working across the country, with whom you can learn from, as well as share good practice with. Ideally you will need to live within the Yorkshire and Humberside region, as there will be travel within the region every week.

Governance Administrator & Clerk to the Board Vacancy

The Governance Administrator & Clerk to the Board will provide an exceptionally high level of governance and administrative support to the School’s Boards and Committees and the Board of Directors for Rambert Grades (a joint venture between the School and Rambert). Main Purpose of the Role:
 
The Lotteries and Gaming Team works collaboratively as part of Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) to build engaging relationships with supporters playing our lotteries and raffles. In doing so we inspire people to join our Lottery or Raffle programmes, which enables Team KSS to save lives and ensure the best possible patient outcomes. The Lotteries and Gaming Assistant will be dedicated to building relationships with supporters and assisting in the delivery of Lottery, Raffles and Individual Fundraising activities. This includes answering supporter’s questions, Lottery and Raffle administration, expressing our thanks and appreciation, assisting with resolving complaints and helping to ensure we deliver an amazing experience for our supporters.

About the team

This is a very exciting time to be joining Impetus as we aim to support more young people this year than ever before in our history. We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Team Administrator who is excited by the prospect of working for an ambitious Philanthropy team in a sector leading charity. The Philanthropy team raises income for Impetus and for Impetus partner charities. The team also delivers a high-quality engagement programme of volunteering and pro bono for Impetus’s corporate supporters. This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent team player with enviable administrative and organisational skills. We are looking for someone with charity sector experience who is passionate about supporting and creating efficient and effective processes to enable our team to raise more money to support more young people.

Key responsibilities

Team Support

• Calendar management for the Philanthropy Team, especially the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships, including arranging external meetings for senior fundraisers.
• On-site support at events as required.
• Draft content for internal and external audiences, such as the internal newsletter, team updates or materials on programmes for funders.​Manage incoming enquires quickly and professionally. ​
• Create and maintain efficient processes for managing and recording fundraising enquiries and information on the CRM system (Salesforce). Support room bookings when required.

Salesforce

• Be the point of contact for creating Salesforce reports to help drive fundraising activity.
• Support the logging of meeting notes on Salesforce working with fundraisers to ensure effective knowledge management and appropriate follow-up.
• Support management of Salesforce accounts, ensuring accuracy and up to date information is recorded.
• Support the creation and development of individual dashboards to help track and increase fundraising.
• Responsible for updating Salesforce database with pro bono and volunteering project information including reporting and tracking information.

Donor engagement support

• Assist with research on donors and prospects.
• Support the Pro Bono function, for instance, supporting the sourcing and stewarding of pro bono support from individuals and companies; and with the onboarding and management of pro bono partners, including inductions and ongoing communication.
• Manage the distribution and dissemination of supporter care materials and fundraising merchandise.
• Support with the preparation of templates and collateral such as presentations and donor communications.
• Proofreading of applications, reports and external communications.​Write briefs for senior colleagues in advance of donor meetings.

• Proven experience of working in an administrative role within the charity sector.

Advance delivers nationally accredited, high quality domestic abuse services across London. Advance's domestic abuse services are community based and include local authority commissioned advocacy services, co-located projects in a range of settings such as housing and children’s social care, and specialist projects for victim/survivors with different intersecting needs including children and young people.

As a Peripatetic Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA), you will provide front line support across Advance’s domestic abuse services, covering vacancies across teams to ensure service delivery remains effective and consistent. As an experienced domestic violence advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic violence, of supporting women with child safeguarding, needs, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.
