 Given the rapidly changing humanitarian context, this role will play a leading part in shaping our position in ensuring locally led capability is at the forefront of sector best practices. It will help to strengthen and grow our response capabilities, impact, and accountability of our humanitarian portfolio.

The post will drive our response to international disasters, building programmes and partnerships to support both relief and recovery efforts. The portfolio includes a strong established climate resilience focus. The establishment and maintenance of effective local partnerships with credible local actors is essential to develop our Disaster Preparedness Initiative (a network of local partners in disaster prone countries who we work with to respond to large and small disasters).

You should have:

• A deep understanding of international development & humanitarian theory, practice and standards
• Extensive relevant experience in the humanitarian ecosystem 
• Experience of leading within disaster response situations 
• Experience of contributing to complex programme decision-making, basing practical recommendations on sound analysis of risk and opportunity 
• Experience and knowledge of international humanitarian policy and practice issues and the humanitarian architecture sufficient to command the respect of others in the sector

Job Purpose

As the Marketing and Communications Lead at Gaddum, you will be at the forefront of shaping and delivering Gaddum’s marketing and communications strategy. Your work will raise awareness of our services and amplify the voices of those we support, helping to change perceptions around mental health, carers and community support.

Working with the Senior Leadership Team, you will lead on strategic campaign planning, media relations, stakeholder engagement, crisis communications and brand management. You will ensure that Gaddum’s brand and voice are consistently represented across all channels – internally and externally – and that our values are effectively communicated.

Main Duties

Strategy and collaboration

• Work closely with internal teams, SLT and external partners (including brand, communications, digital, media agencies, and national campaigns).

• Develop organisation-wide competencies around using the brand, and empower others to become brand ambassadors for Gaddum, ensuring best use of own and organisational resource.

• Support the development of new services through market research and audience insight to maximise marketing impact.

• Where identified, collaborate with fundraising initiatives to create timely campaigns that increase income and promote key areas of work.

Brand and content management

• Provide training and support to staff on branding, marketing and media engagement.

• Manage all aspects of visual content, including photography briefs, photoshoots and our image library.

• Lead the production and distribution of print and digital publications.

• Review, develop and maintain the website, updating content, improving functionality and monitoring performance.

• Expand and manage Gaddum’s social media presence.

Media and public relations

• Build and maintain relationships with media, key influencers and relevant organisations to increase Gaddum's profile locally and regionally.

• Manage media and press coverage, produce press releases and respond to media enquiries.

• Train staff to effectively handle media requests and represent Gaddum confidently.

Impact storytelling

• Coproduce a bank of personal stories that demonstrate the impact of Gaddum’s work and challenge stigma around mental health, carers and the VCSE sector.

• Working alongside individuals, groups and communities, ensure lived and living experience is at the heart of Gaddum’s stakeholder engagement.

Job Purpose

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for strategic and operational oversight of the effective delivery of the Creating Community Connections Pilot, ensuring the successful delivery of the pilot project, balancing the demands of supporting the various partnerships between funders, providers, and stakeholders to collectively deliver the required impact and ensure contract compliance.

Creating Community Connections is a three-year Domestic Abuse (DA) pilot Project, funded by HMPPS. The project is led by a partnership of women’s centre providers - Women in Prison, Anawim, Together Women, and Nelson Trust and aims to connect women in prisons with vital specialist community support services across the country, especially women's centres and organisations providing support around DA. By connecting prisons and women in custody to a network of local women’s services, we hope to aid resettlement and support engagement with holistic support to meet women’s needs, address root causes of offending, improve outcomes on release and intercept cycles of trauma, disadvantage, and abuse, with a particular focus on DA services. The project will ultimately support women who have experienced domestic abuse and work with them so that their experiences do not negatively influence their opportunity of successful resettlement back into the community.

Key Responsibility Areas

1. To lead and take accountability for the delivery of the Creating Community Connections (CCC) project.
2. To actively engage with funders, stakeholders, delivery partners and the internal team(s), to build a solid understanding of the CCC Project.

Your Role

As Head of Harm Reduction and Engagement, you’ll lead our Drug & Alcohol Support Hub (DASH) service, detached outreach provision and youth justice support – while driving innovation in youth empowerment, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), and new service models. You’ll be our subject expert in harm reduction, criminal justice, and engagement with vulnerable and marginalised young people.

You’ll play a key role as part of our Senior Management Team, and lead a passionate, experienced team delivering critical services to young people across Southampton and Hampshire. You will also lead on maintaining strong strategic partnerships, including with our substance use lead provider, Change Grow Live.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Leading and managing our DASH service, detached team, and young people’s link workers

• Supporting innovation and emerging projects such as Alternative Provision

Forest IQ brings together aligned, best-in-class, and actionable data on how more than 2,400 major companies are addressing their links to deforestation and associated human rights abuses.

In particular, your work will focus on creating methodologies to enable the ingestion and alignment of a number of datasets, and overseeing the integration of these datasets for the bi-annual data releases.

About the role

The main focus of the advice centre will be academic advice and appeals but it may need to adapt to the changing needs of students and will likely involve working with individuals who have complex situations who require support to navigate what steps to take. 

Advice and Support

• To provide specialist advice and information directly to students via physical and digital mediums as appropriate on academic matters
• To support students when referring them to appropriate internal & external agencies
• To advise and inform students of their rights and responsibilities as students of the University of Gloucestershire
• To support students at meetings, appeals and hearings within the University
• Maintain generalist advice skills, knowledge and understanding of University regulations, policies and procedures that may affect the work of the advice service
• To be able to understand and explore the issues students present with a focus on expert advice to enable students to make informed decisions
• Take referrals from with partner providers i.e University, self-referrals and those from voluntary and statutory agencies

Case Work and Procedures

• Maintain accurate records of all advice cases at the SU via the case management system

Our Community Organiser plays a crucial role in contributing to our ongoing Permanent, Safe Homes Now campaign, which aims to set a precedent for housing reform nationwide. Our mission is to drive meaningful change and empower communities facing social injustice across the UK.

As part of our team, you'll contribute to expanding and strengthening PEACH's membership and influence. This involves planning and executing strategic campaigns collaboratively, which aim to address key issues our members face. You'll also oversee project delivery, monitor progress and report on outcomes, and communicate successes and best practices. ● To support the Custom House and Canning Town community to grow and develop, working with them to build their sense of belonging, community pride and spirit. 

● To listen to local people, to support them to develop power to act together for the common good and help them act on the local issues that are important to them.

● Contribute to developing PEACH's collective power as a Community Union in collaboration with members, Steering Group, Trustees/Directors, and fellow staff members. Oversee the execution of this strategy.

● Cultivate a thriving organising culture at PEACH by training members and staff in community organising methods, continually learning and reflecting on organising practices, and refining the PEACH organising model, including creating training materials.

We are looking for a Head of Operations (Projects and Central Support) to join our team. You will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to support the smooth running of the IntoUniversity network, leading on strategic projects and work streams to improve and strengthen operational effectiveness across the organisation. 1. About Chance to Shine

We are Chance to Shine: a children’s charity dedicated to harnessing the power of cricket to transform the life prospects of young people in the UK.

It is our mission that all young people have the opportunity to play, learn and develop through cricket. We want them to learn a love of the game and to find a sense of belonging through the sport, developing their wider wellbeing and life skills to help fulfil their potential.

Established in 2005, we have a long-term track record of delivery in state schools and under-served communities, bringing best-in-class cricket programmes to young people aged 5 to 24 who might not otherwise have the opportunity to play. All our programmes are completely free for everyone involved, from schools and community groups to young people and their families.

2. Purpose of the Role

The core purpose of Finance Assistant’s role is to support the Finance and Resources team at Chance to Shine. The Finance and Resources team provide day to day support to all departments in the charity and trading subsidiary, Chance to Shine Enterprises Ltd, around finance, office, HR and general administration. The role is based at our London office with some working from home allowed.

3. Key Responsibilities

The Finance Assistant’s responsibilities include:

Finance

· Recording and analysing income and expenditure and posting transactions onto SAGE 50 Accounts

· Banking cash and cheques received

• Raising invoices and monitoring debtors
• Administering invoice approval and payment processes

· Operating expense claim procedures and payments

· Liaising with Fundraising team to reconcile income received with Raisers Edge

· Support delivery partner expenditure review process

· Support Finance & Resources department as required with ad hoc administrative support

General support

· To help monitor the finance inbox and respond to general enquiries.

· To help out, as required at Chance to Shine events, such as fundraisers, media events and Chance to Shine competitions.
