The role involves designing, leading, and facilitating various activities and sessions aimed at improving physical and mental wellbeing, and improving community connection amongst older people. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced youth worker to join our Brent team. You will bring energy, compassion, and resilience to make a real change to the life chances of young people in the UK asylum system.
You will be responsible for supporting young people aged 14-25 years, enabling them to access a range of social, emotional, and practical support as they navigate the complex and challenging processes of the UK asylum system.You will help us run activities for young people at our advice hub on Wednesday evenings in Brent and run our youth group on Thursday evenings in Brent n as well as our sporting activities and trips.
You will work closely with our Brent Youth Development Coordinator. You will need to be able to work under pressure, acting as a consistent and stable point of contact for young people, ensuring that their safety and well-being are paramount.
About you
We would like to hear from you if you have the following:
· Demonstrable experience in supporting vulnerable young people in a similar role, particularly through youth activities in 1;1 and/or group settings, or befriending/mentoring
· Good knowledge of the UK asylum system and the related challenges facing young refugees and asylum-seekers in contingency accommodation

· Working knowledge of child protection issues and safeguarding processes

Job Purpose
As part of the four strong events team, this role is responsible for coordinating the delivery of numerous educational events throughout the year. These events support the clinical and non-clinical skills and professional development of our members as key components of lifelong learning and improvement.
In addition, the role will support the Events Manager in the administration of the showcase Annual Congress as well as the Admissions Ceremony. As part of the team, you will also assist other team members as necessary.
Main Purpose and Deliverables
- Delivery of the Training the Trainers Courses (TTT) and Certificate of eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) Courses.
- End to end event, speaker and customer support specifically for the TTT and CESR events and as delegated for the education and seminar programme.
- Assist in the management of the education and seminar programme as well as the Admissions Ceremony with the Events Manager.

Main responsibilities
- Liaising with the comms team to market events.
- Respond to all enquiries.

Other duties

The Role

Your role will involve the management of the database for the Charity, regular reporting on results from the database, ensure monthly reconciliation of the database with SAGE along with working with the Fundraising team to identify and deliver improvements to the database to ensure the smooth running of processes.

You will manage data received from acquisition activity, including lead generation, cash, regular gift and new weekly lottery players and add them to the supporter database.
The Candidate
We are looking for an energetic self-starter with a positive attitude who has strong analytical and excel skills. You should have previous experience of working with a supporter database or CRM (Access Charity CRM would be an advantage but not essential) Furthermore, you should have knowledge of selecting and importing supporter data through bulk imports and exports. Kinship have been awarded funding from the Department for Education to deliver the first ever national training programme to support kinship carers in their caring role. We are at the start of that journey.
About the role:
Kinship are seeking to recruit experienced event co-ordinators with a whole range of skills and great energy to join our brand-new training team. They will be responsible for delivering this first ever programme of its type supporting kinship carers across England in their caring role.
As a pivotal part of the team, you’ll be supporting delivery of high-quality in-person and online training events across England. You’ll be the first point of contact for the team and be experienced and responsive in dealing with enquiries. You’ll be used to working with suppliers and have proven experience of planning, co-ordinating and supporting the delivery of large events. You’ll bring significant working experience of using Microsoft tools, and other platforms and technology including Zoom. You’ll have a positive, can-do approach and the ability to work with initiative, being curious and always thinking ahead to anticipate need and deal with issues.
Collaboration will be key to your approach, and you’ll be detail orientated and be great at managing your time and priorities, and working to consistently high standards. You’ll plan, co-ordinate and support the successful delivery of all our online and in-person events, including being available and involved as needed on site.
In this role, you’ll travel across England and may have overnight stays from time to time. We offer training and support to enable you to be successful in your role and we’re happy to discuss requirements if you have kinship caring responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:
- Providing highly effective project management and administrative support to the training programme, including supplier communication, coordinating programme logistics and delivery of all relevant general and financial administration tasks, e.g. scheduling meetings, providing agendas, writing briefings, minute-taking, monitoring expenditure and organising events, training and workshops.
- Being the first point of contact for the team, for both internal and external purposes, communicating effectively with kinship carers, internal training team, external delivery partners and other stakeholders to coordinate and confirm all training activity.
Essential requirements include:
- Proven experience in event planning and management. You will need previous experience being responsible for organising large events (over 50 people).
- Experience of developing and implementing administrative systems and processes that enable team effectiveness. You will need a minimum of 1 year’s administration experience.

The Catalyst Collective is an innovative and rapidly growing non-profit organisation. Since our pilot programme launched in January 2021, we have expanded significantly. Transforming Lives for Good (TLG) are a national Christian charity working in partnership with local churches to give struggling children a hope and a future. We are looking for a well-organised, relational leader who is passionate about the way TLG enables local churches across the UK to get alongside struggling families in their communities. The Church Relationships Lead will work as part of the national Volunteer Programmes (VP) Team, reporting to the Early Intervention Network Support Manager and collaborating with staff responsible for programme training and development.
This is an exciting time to join our growing VP team to support an increasing number of churches who have chosen to partner with TLG through running the Early Intervention (EI) programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting EI Coordinators to effectively run their centres, as well as training new EI coach teams.
