This role is central to ensuring that young people feel happy, listened to and secure while participating in NYO activities. Working closely with the Head of Youth Development, you will manage the freelance Support Team and lead the Youth Support Co-ordinator, ensuring that safeguarding, welfare and inclusion are implemented consistently. You’ll be confident handling conversations with teenagers and their parents/carers, managing sensitive information, and coordinating logistics in a busy residential environment. You’ll also deputise for the Head of Youth Development when required, leading operational briefings and representing the team in cross-programme conversations.

The Opportunity:
The Aspiring Professionals Programme Coordinator (APPC) role will be well-suited to someone who is focused on the best ways they can help the aims of the charity as well as those of our participants and partners. An APPC is responsible for supporting the delivery and development of the Social Mobility Foundation’s programme of activities for young people through their S5-6/sixth form and university years.
The SMF offers in-person and online support and opportunities, so this role will involve providing virtual and in-person support to students and working with employers across the UK.
Key Responsibility Areas:
1. Project Delivery
- Deliver key projects including recruiting and onboarding students, creating digital resources and student events
- Support with programme pilots, scoping (and delivering on) new activity
- Collaborate and build relationships with our employer partners, schools, and universities to support our young people in their applications for university, internships and graduate roles
2. Monitoring and Evaluation
- Maintain accurate records across relevant databases, updating data accurately and in a timely manner
- Contribute to evaluation for key work areas (residentials, events, internships etc), produce high quality evaluation reports where required.
3. Stakeholder Management
- Communicate to internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner
- Proactively update external partners (i.e. employers) on your work areas, flagging risks in a timely manner with relationship managers
- Manage internal student queries and maintain consistent stakeholder (e.g. students) processes through regular communication
4. Activity Delivery

This means that during the summer period (Jul – Aug) you will be expected to stay overnight on-site (in the UK - exact location to be confirmed closer to the time) for a period of up to two-weeks, help run the residential and be responsible for the welfare of the young people involved.

The Role

ROLE DESCRIPTION
As leaders within Get Further, our Programme Managers play an important part in managing the delivery of our tuition programmes and the growth and development of the organisation. The successful applicant will take over the case load of one of our Programme Managers while she is on secondment to another project. The key outcomes for this role are:
- Team: Directly line manage a team of 3-6 Programme Coordinators and Salaried Tutors and be accountable for the management of tutors within your colleges, contributing to Get Further as a whole meeting or exceeding our programme delivery KPIs
- FE partners: Achieve high FE partner satisfaction by delivering a high impact programme and developing strong relationships at multiple levels with our existing and prospective FE partners.
- Strategy and organisational development: Lead strategic projects and priorities as needed to develop the organisation, programmes and programme delivery.
- Project: Work closely with the Head of Resits Tuition Programme to support in the medium-term implementation of the EEF RCT.

Tutors
Our tutors are instrumental to us delivering a high-impact programme. You will be accountable for the overall high performance of the tutors delivering tuition within the FE partners for which you are responsible. To achieve this, we expect you will:
- Support and hold PCs to account for the frontline management of tutors and lead tutors
- Resolve or further escalate tutor performance management issues that PCs have escalated as per the Tutor Performance Policy
- Ensure that performance management issues are effectively tracked and made visible to the CPO and work with the CPO and wider Executive team to resolve persistent issues
- Along with Curriculum Managers, lead the design and delivery of tutor training, ongoing tutor development, and the tutor community work
FE Partners
You will be responsible for delivering high impact programmes with Get Further’s FE partners, including ensuring that we achieve programme quality and impact KPIs and developing strong relationships at multiple levels within our FE partner. To achieve this we expect you will:
- Line manage a team of PCs to deliver a high impact programme
- Proactively build high quality working relationships with staff within our FE partners
- Understand college needs and concerns so that we can proactively address them during programme delivery
- Proactively look for ways that we can work more closely with colleges and demonstrating our value to them and commitment to the FE sector
- Lead the preparation of college level impact reports and ensure the ongoing effective capture of impact data, testimonials and case studies to support report creation
Strategic projects and priorities
Get Further is a fast-developing charity, as a member of our small but mighty team we want our programme managers to be true leaders within the organisation, playing an active role in shaping and developing the charity into the future.
- Over the course of the year, we work on various strategic projects and priorities to advance the overall running of Get Further and you may have the opportunity to take a leadership role in these.
- You will have opportunities to engage and provide input, as well as your own project ideas, at an Exec and Board level on Get Further’s longer term strategy and direction.
Sales
- Collaborating with the Head of Resits Tuition Programmes to support and engage in sales activities to ensure Get Further meets growth goals related to college partnerships and student numbers, while securing new partnerships in key regions and areas for expansion. Discover! Creative Careers, also known as the Creative Careers Programme, was kick-started with funding from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport in 2018 and has been shaped and supported directly by creative businesses, institutions, trade bodies and individuals. The delivery of the programme is led by ScreenSkills in partnership with over 25 organisations and through collaboration with industry, education, and careers professionals.
Discover! The programme will run until the end of March 2026, and will involve working across partners and in collaboration with creative industries organisations across 12 sub-sectors across Wales.
Role Summary
This exciting Project Coordinator role is central to the delivery of Discover! Creative Careers, Cymru, a high-impact initiative designed to open creative sector pathways for young people, particularly those from underrepresented communities.
Working closely with Into Film Cymru’s team and delivery partners, the Project Coordinator will manage the day-to-day planning, logistics, communications, and coordination of Discover! events, workshops, and in-school activity across the nation with support and guidance from the Project Manager.
This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong bilingual (Welsh/English) communication, and a commitment to inclusive practice.
The successful candidate will ensure smooth delivery of activity during a busy delivery window and support accurate data collection and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the planning and delivery of Discover! Creative Careers, Cymru activities in partnership and with support from a wide range of partners. Events to include in-school and online events, creative careers talks, workshops, and live showcases.

Role Context
The Team Leader is responsible for supporting the development, management, and supervision of the Kentown Support therapeutic offer. The expectation of the Team Leader role is that 50% of their time will be allocated to their supervisory responsibilities, including line management of designated staff. The remainder of their time will be allocated to casework support. The Team Leader will support with contract monitoring and reporting requirements of the service, ensuring high quality delivery, ongoing support for the team, and the growth and development of new projects and initiatives.
Role Purpose
The postholder will provide line management support to staff within this team, ensuring effective case management and supervision. The role will include supporting and working with the CYP and CC Therapy Services Coordinator and Manager and other team members to drive continuous improvements to service delivery as well as ensuring monitoring reports are completed in line with requirements for our commissioners.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Management of staff:
• Provide 1:1 line management supervision and casework support for the designated contract with the CYP and CC Therapy Service Manager’s guidance.
• Identify staff training and development needs as part of supervision and appraisal process.
• Effectively undertake annual appraisals and support staff to meet their Personal Development Plan.
• Lead on the day-to-day oversight of the services in the CYP and CC Therapy Coordinator’s absence (avoid booking annual leave during this same time when possible).
• Ensure referrals are allocated appropriately in line with team members’ targets and capacity with support and guidance.
• Develop training plans for new starters during their probationary period.
• Lead on the support and supervision for any student social workers and counselling trainees placed within the CYP Team in close collaboration with the Student Social Worker Placement team.
• Provide support around safeguarding issues to the team members together with CYP and CC Therapy Service Coordinator and Manager.
Service Development:
• Lead on the oversight and development of the Kentown Support service, in collaboration with service management.
• Take a solution-focused and evidence-based approach to service challenges.
• Support CYP and CC Therapy Service management in developing policies and procedures in line with best practice.
• Represent the Kentown Support service at meetings, forums, and events where appropriate.
• Undertake initial investigations into complaints relating to the Service as needed.
• To assist in the development of the Service by working with other VCSE organisations, schools, and statutory and NHS bodies to enhance the wellbeing and resilience of their service users.
• Implement HR processes as appropriate and agreed, reporting issues upwards whilst seeking to intervene at the earliest opportunity so as to seek a resolution.
Contract Monitoring:
• Report to the CYP and CC Therapy Service Manager on the delivery of the Kentown Support Service on a regular basis.
• To lead on service monitoring and reporting to ensure it is completed in line with contract requirements.
• To meet with commissioners and funders as required to support the service.
Providing therapeutic support to individuals:
• Offer therapeutic interventions and support to individuals and families on your caseload. This may be with adults in the family or with children and young people in the family.
• Provide post-bereavement support to family members following the death of a child with a life-limiting condition. This may be families you have already supported in this role, or you may begin to work with new families referred by the CCN team.
• Offer a holistic package of support that is tailored to the needs of the families you are working with. This may include working around their wellbeing, building resilience, and developing coping strategies.

Future Foundations is an education programme of Katherine Low Settlement. Since 2004, KLS’ Future Foundations education team of 10 part-time staff and over 100 volunteers, have supported young refugees and their families in Battersea and the London Borough of Wandsworth to thrive in their education.
