As our Services’ Manager, you will oversee some of our most impactful delivery, including our Courses service, Vocation service, Digital services, and our award-winning Mentoring service. You’ll be just as comfortable working alongside the team to problem solve as you are working with the leadership team on our business plans and budget management.

About the role
We’re seeking a dynamic leader to drive the financial growth of the organisation by expanding, diversifying and strengthening the sustainability of our voluntary income, in line with our Strategy 2030 and beyond.
You will lead and inspire a high-performing team of fundraising experts covering all disciplines including individual giving, major donors, legacies, challenge events, community fundraising, special events, trusts and corporate relationships.
The role combines strategic oversight with operational involvement, including direct management of key supporter relationships as well as representing the charity at high-level meetings and external events. SIA has doubled its income over the past six years and we have ambitious plans to build on successful fundraising initiatives, as well as develop new ones.
Key responsibilities:
- Rasing Funds: Be responsible for the achievement of realistic - yet ambitious - financial targets as agreed with the Director of Business Development.
- Strategic Planning: Lead on the development and delivery of strategic and operational plans to achieve growth, diversification and sustainability of SIA’s voluntary income.
- Team Management: Provide support, motivation and strategic direction to the fundraising team to deliver high quality results, including direct line management of four Manager-level roles.
- Capacity Building: Develop knowledge, skills and capacity within the Fundraising team to facilitate the achievement of objectives, whilst building succession plans for the future.
- Reporting: Monitor and evaluate performance across all fundraising activities, preparing reports to the Senior Leadership Team, Committees and Board of Trustees
- Innovating: Develop Proposals for long-term strategic income growth initiatives, in collaboration with the Director of Business Development.
- Leading: Be an active member of the Senior Leadership Team and contribute to addressing SIA-wide priorities, opportunities and challenges.
- Collaborating: Work with colleagues at all levels within the organisation, actively collaborating across teams and providing fundraising expertise and insight.
- Relationship Building: Build strong professional relationships with externa; partners, supporters, volunteers, Trustees, Vice Presidents, Ambassadors, advisors, consultants, suppliers and other key stakeholders.
- Designing: Contribute to the design and development of charitable programmes and services that underpin major funding propositions and compelling fundraising campaigns.
- Managing Risk: Play a leadership role in managing strategic and operational risks relating to income and ensure compliance with all relevant fundraising laws, guidelines and best practice, as well as SIA’s policies and procedures.
- Networking: Actively engage in relationship mapping and networking to expand SIA’s pool of potential donors, supporters and champions, including taking a direct lead role in managing key relationships.

This role is part of an exciting period of growth for the Community Fundraising team, with income increasing by over 200% over the past four years and supporter numbers rising by 165%. With a brand review and CRM migration also underway, this is an exciting time to join the MND Association!
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of community fundraising marketing activity, meeting recruitment and income targets
- Create and implement operational plans for the team including marketing and content
- Manage marketing campaigns through a mix of media from concept to delivery
- Work with digital and product teams to ensure marketing content is delivered efficiently and clearly
- Develop and manage supporter journeys across different media to ensure a consistent and engaging experience
- Keep community fundraising web pages up to date and user-friendly
- Promote and attend a variety of exciting fundraising events - including evenings and weekends
- Manage third-party relationships, including event suppliers, to support fundraising acquisition and recruitment activity
- Support budget planning and monitoring by reporting on performance and outcomes
- Maintain database records ensuring all relevant information about donors is promptly and accurately recorded
About You:
- Background in sales or account management and familiarity with campaign management ideally within fundraising
- Organises with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities and working to tight deadlines
- Experienced in creating and improving systems and procedures
- Able to produce compelling visual content to support campaigns
- Clear and confident communicator across different formats
- Comfortable working with people from a range of backgrounds and experiences

Key Responsibilities:
As an Income Assistant, you'll be part of a friendly, dedicated team ensuring income is processed efficiently and in line with key standards.
- Accurately process income on to the Raiser's Edge database, ensuring correct and consistent coding and record linking
- Prepare income batches for processing
- Support the preparation of manual Gift Aid sponsorship claims
- Maintain accurate records and ensure database updates are completed correctly
- Handle income-related queries and amendments within agreed timescales
- Follow all relevant compliance procedures, including Data Protection, HMRC and audit guidelines
- Respond to phone, email and written enquiries to support high standards of supporter care
- Provide general administrative support to the wider team as needed

Key Responsibilities:
As Income Officer, you'll play an important part in ensuring all income is accurately processed and allocated, while maintaining high standards of supporter care.
- Process income from various channels using the Raiser's Edge database, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Allocate restricted income in line with supporter requests
- Build and maintain positive relationships with supporters to understand their giving intentions
- Respond to telephone, email and written queries, including complex cases, with professionalism and care
- Oversee regular giving from over 7,000 supporters via Direct Debit, Standing Order and Payroll Giving
- Manage data across multiple systems including Access databases, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
- Conduct Gift Aid audit checks before HMRC submission, supporting income generation of approx. £1 million annually
- Ensure compliance with Data Protection, HMRC and audit requirements when handling sensitive supporter data
- Contribute to process improvements by identifying and helping implement innovative solutions
- Collaborate with teams across the organisation to support shared goals and effective ways of working
