Job description

Hope for the Future is recruiting a full-time fundraiser to advance our healthy financial position in order to enable the consolidation and expansion of our vital work on climate change. We are looking for a Fundraiser with a strong track record of fundraising and delivering significant funds who understands the climate sector well.

Hope for the Future’s income is predominantly grant-based, with some additional income from charitable giving and our consultancy work delivering training. The Fundraiser will work with Hope for the Future’s senior leadership team to develop the charity’s ongoing fundraising strategy and explore ways of diversifying the charity’s income streams, such as through corporate giving. The Fundraiser will be responsible for carrying out the fundraising strategy, working with the senior leadership team and project officers to ensure the ongoing financial health of Hope for the Future’s activities.

We are looking for someone who is able to use Hope for the Future’s existing reputation and strong track record to make a compelling case for the unique contribution that the charity makes to the sector. You will need to be able to tell the story of who we are, where we have come from, and where we want to go.

The role will be overseen and managed by Hope for the Future’s Director who will be based in Sheffield. The role will be based at our head office in Sheffield, though initially home-based due to Covid-19 restrictions. We will consider applications for remote working from across England, Scotland and Wales.

Deadline: 9am Monday 14th December 2020. We are shortlisting as applications come in so apply now!

Interviews will be held on Tuesday 12th January 2021.
