As an integral member of the fundraising team, the Fundraising Administrator will support the delivery of a range of successful fundraising activity based around the centre, in order to maximise income for Maggie’s.
As Fundraising Administrator, you will welcome and support visitors within the centre in their fundraising for Maggie’s as well as in the local community and ensuring they are motivated, informed and supported.
This is a demanding role in a fast-paced environment where priorities change frequently.
There will be a requirement to work irregular hours as well as some local travel.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Dementia UK’s growing Community Fundraising team as a Regional Fundraiser, which is expanding in response to sustained year-on-year growth and our ambitious five-year organisational strategy. As a Regional Fundraiser you will lead on developing and managing relationships with supporters across the South West region — including individuals, community groups, and corporate organisations.

Job summary:
You will set both strategic direction and deliver hands-on activity, overseeing all fundraising streams, communications, digital platforms, and supporter engagement. Our Fundraising Assistant will provide key administrative support to the Fundraising Team. The Fundraising & Events Officer will help deliver a programme of successful fundraising and cultivation events, including the Charity's challenge events, annual golf day, comedy night, and dedicated industry dinners while providing excellent stewardship to supporters and partners. You'll also collaborate closely with the wider Fundraising Team to support various income streams, bringing creativity, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to making each event as impactful as possible.
Reporting to the Corporate Partnership Manager, you will plan, organise and deliver events from conception through to evaluation. This will include managing event budgets, sourcing prizes, coordinating suppliers (including photographers and entertainers), liaising with invitees to maximise attendance, and working with the Head of Marketing to promote events across social media and event webpages. Alongside events delivery, you'll support corporate partnerships and volunteering, providing high-quality stewardship to corporate partners, attending and supporting corporate volunteering activity, and helping deliver Spread a Smile's volunteering programme during peak periods (particularly Christmas). The successful candidate will bring proven experience of planning and executing successful events end-to-end, strong project management skills and attention to detail, and confidence juggling multiple deadlines. You'll be an excellent relationship-builder with strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable engaging a wide range of stakeholders (donors, volunteers, staff, and suppliers). Most importantly, you'll enjoy working collaboratively as part of a small team, bringing great attention to detail and a passion for putting together great supporter experiences, alongside resilience and calm problem-solving when plans change.

BACKGROUND
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good. The latest research suggests that the number of children and young people at risk of hunger has rocketed to 2.7 million, meaning that one in five children don’t have enough to eat. When a child is too hungry to learn, they struggle to concentrate, absorb information, and manage big emotions, causing them to fall behind in their studies.
Magic Breakfast provides a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 300,000 children and young people every school day. JOB PURPOSE
The Director of Fundraising and Development (Maternity Cover) will provide strategic leadership and direction across all fundraising and income-generating activities, ensuring the charity continues to deliver against its financial objectives and accelerates long-term, sustainable growth across our philanthropic, public, and commercial income streams.
You will bring strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to equip, support, and empower the team through a period of organisational change. You will help the team optimise and make the most of the new organisational strategy, embedding strategic focus, effective decision-making, and collaborative leadership practices across the fundraising leadership group.
You will use your commercial acumen and fundraising expertise to identify opportunities and support the team to recognise, shape, and pursue them confidently and effectively, enabling them to take ownership and drive progress across all income streams. A key part of the role will be ensuring that new commercial and public sector income streams are recognised, understood, and capitalised on across the organisation, working closely with the newly established Head of Business Development to embed this focus and enable them to succeed in driving this work forward.
Working closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will play a crucial role in maintaining momentum, ensuring continuity, and supporting the organisation to deliver the new strategy and business plan, helping to realise opportunities, navigate challenges, and ensure long-term sustainability during this maternity cover period.

- Driving income growth: establishing high-performing income pipelines across all income streams, with a strong multi-year focus, supported by robust data, reporting, and pipeline management.
- Integrating and accelerating public sector and commercial income streams: Ensuring newly integrated income areas are understood, valued and operational across the organisation.
- Embedding and executing a unified, co-owned fundraising and development strategy: Partnering with the CEO, SLT and Board to embed strategic focus, ensure integration, and alignment with organisational goals.
- Strengthening leadership, culture and team performance: Providing coaching-based leadership, direction, support and empowerment, helping the team thrive and achieve ambitious income targets across philanthropic, public sector and commercial streams.

The Head of Development will work closely with the Director to manage relations and raise funds from Trusts, Foundations, Corporates and Individuals to support the Gallery’s mission.

Campaigns & Special Initiatives
- Design and implement major fundraising campaigns, including gala events.
Grants & Proposal Writing
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities from trusts and foundations.
- Supervise grant writing, reporting, evaluation and compliance processes.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with curatorial, marketing and education teams to align fundraising with programming.
- Provide regular fundraising reports and forecasts to the board.
- Support the Board of Trustees and Fundraising Committee with strategy, materials and coordination.

Our Sunflower Appeal launched in June 2025 and aims to raise £5million by 2029 to open a new cancer centre at the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. Every year, 3,000+ swimmers take on some of the UK's most iconic open water challenges, including the Dart10k, Bantham Swoosh and The Hurly Burly along with our growing series of 24-hour Wild Swim Relays. They swim so that disabled kids who need it most can get life-changing swimming lessons.

We're Level Water, a founder-led charity solving learn-to-swim for disabled children. We're not your typical charity. We own the events and run them like a business. We move fast, test everything, and we're building something that doesn't exist anywhere else.

You'll own the entire experience for our 3,000 swimmers from the moment they sign up, through their training and fundraising journey, to the event itself (yes, you'll be there), and beyond. You'll design the journey, execute it, measure it, improve it, and scale it.

We are seeking a committed and motivated Head of Fundraising to deliver the OCT’s ambitious fundraising requirements. This is a vital role for the Ocean Conservation Trust (OCT) leading on the development and delivery of the full spectrum of fundraising activities to support our mission. The post holder will be a key contributory member of the Senior Management Team.
The OCT has ambitious fundraising requirements. In addition to the funds raised through the National Marine Aquarium (NMA), the OCT needs a more diverse income stream to drive its core programmes, through the development of appropriate corporate, philanthropic and donation initiatives.
The post holder will need to understand the core programmes and develop appropriate schemes and campaigns to build a wide support network to secure a lasting pipeline of donations. They will need to be entrepreneurial, self-motivated, team focussed, comfortable liaising across the organisation to ensure integration with activities such as communication, research, membership, publications, partnerships and data and information services among others. They must own income targets and lead income growth, thinking in terms of pipelines, ROI, KPIs and lifetime value. In addition, they will be key to maximising use of the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
Overall, this role will be fundamental in developing the OCT as the leading Ocean conservation charity in the UK, generating significant new and diverse revenue streams to drive the Charity’s ambition. They must be capable of moving OCT beyond NMA visitor income, building a resilient, mixed portfolio.
You will lead a team of 3 staff members and be accountable for achieving specific funding goals to deliver our strategic plans. The post is based at the National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth, UK. Flexible working arrangements include 3 days office/2 days home.
