About the Role

There are 1.4 million primary-aged children growing up in poverty in the UK, and we are currently only working with a fraction of them. We have grown rapidly over the last few years and are now looking to recruit a Fundraising Manager who can help take our fundraising work to the next level.

The Fundraising Manager will work with the team to drive Learning with Parents’ fundraising strategy. Their primary focus will be on strengthening our existing corporate partnerships pipeline, and managing new and existing corporate relationships. They will continue to develop and adapt the Learning with Parents proposition for corporate partnerships ensuring partnerships deliver mutual benefits and maximise impact on our shared mission. 

The Fundraising Manager will also support our work with High Net Worth Individuals and Trust and Foundations. Their responsibilities will also include line management of our Fundraising and Operations Officer to achieve their aims and objectives.

The Fundraising Manager will represent Learning with Parents at external fundraising and networking events to raise our profile, build relationships and promote parental engagement in the charitable and education sectors.

Areas of Responsibility

Building a pipeline of corporate partners

• Working closely with Learning with Parents’ CEO and COO, research, qualify and prioritise prospects to create a buoyant pipeline.

• Maintain and update the prospect pipeline. 

• Engage with and cultivate potential corporate partners to develop meaningful collaborations with shared goals.

Stewarding new and existing funders

• Writing and submitting applications to corporate foundations and other trusts and foundations.

• Manage and steward Learning with Parents’ corporate partners, trust and foundations and other donors.

• Fulfil any donor due diligence requirements. 

• Draft compelling update reports and other written materials as required.

Feeding into the fundraising strategy 

• Input into Learning with Parents’ fundraising strategy.

• Feed into discussions around what the Fundraising team should look like as the organisation grows.

Responding to new opportunities

• Engage with new fundraising opportunities such as Awards and connections with High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs). 

• Develop and adapt Learning with Parents’ proposition for corporate partners, ensuring partnerships deliver mutual benefits and maximise impact of our shared mission. 

• Represent Learning with Parents at external fundraising and networking to raise our profile.

• Update Learning with Parents’ case for support and other fundraising resources to meet new funding needs and opportunities.

Line Management

• Directly line manage Learning with Parents’ Fundraising and Operations Officer to achieve their goals and objectives.

About You 

Experience within a similar role, or within the charity sector, would be great. However, we know that a lot of the most important skills in this role are transferable from jobs in other sectors, such as relationship development, account management and business development. We want the right person and we will invest in training the right candidate as necessary.

About the role

As we continue to build on the successes achieved over the last 3 years, Gresham College is seeking a new Head of Fundraising and Engagement, who will be responsible for driving income generation for the College and for engaging our audiences through traditional and digital means.

The Head of Fundraising and Engagement will play the central role in continuing to draw new forms of income to support the College’s educational mission. You will lead on a portfolio of income-generating activities, including individual giving and legacies, corporate sponsorship, events, trusts and foundations, business development, venue hire and collaborative partnerships.

You will build on the success of the 6.5 million annual views of our YouTube channel to generate income from small donations and memberships, as well as play the lead role in growing relationships with high-net-worth individuals and corporations.

As Head of Fundraising and Engagement, you will have responsibility for the College’s wider profile and engagement, in owned, earned and paid-for media, including traditional and digital channels.

You will be responsible for brand management and development, including management of the College’s online and PR presence to grow our profile and reputation.

The Head of Fundraising and Engagement will line manage a team of four.

Who we are looking for

You will have a track record of success in raising income in a charity environment, alongside knowledge of the requirements of the fundraising regulator and best practice in the sector.

You will bring experience of working across a range of income generation areas and activities, including membership, HNWIs, corporate, and trusts and foundations. It is essential that candidates demonstrate their ability to identify, build and maintain strong donor, sponsor and supporter relationships. You should also be familiar with managing engagement and communications programmes, particularly through digital means.

Candidates should bring experience of managing individuals or teams focused on income generation within a relevant setting and be able to demonstrate the impact of their leadership through the achievement of successful income generation activities.

About us: Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Since 2003, Tender’s work has grown and diversified from a single workshop programme delivered to schools, into a broader range of programmes reaching both children and young people and professionals with a safeguarding responsibility such as teachers, youth workers, social care workers and foster carers. About the role: We now have a need for a coordinator to work closely with the whole development team (comprising a Development Director, Development Manager, Development Officer, Major Donor Consultant and the CEO) in coordinating all aspects of our fundraising work, from identifying prospects, creating compelling funding applications through to successfully managing relationships with funders. This role will give you experience of all of our funding streams, as well as exposure to our funders through your work in organising and managing our various events throughout the year, such as our annual awards.

• Supporting all members of the Development team to achieve the team’s annual fundraising targets
• Preparing and submitting applications in support of fundraising from trusts & foundations, statutory funders, corporates, major donors, and individual givers

Over the last 10 years the ICAS Foundation has awarded over £2m in funding to support university students studying accountancy and finance. Each year we help around 100 students studying at universities across Scotland and England.  The Head of Income and Engagement will work as part of a small team being the sole fundraiser for the ICAS Foundation alongside the current Foundation Director who has delivered key acquisitions in the last 12 months.

The key focus of the role will be to deliver income targets to meet the business plan and strategy 2030, including creating the fundraising strategy required to fulfil our growth aims. The role will manage a newly appointed Marketing and Communications Manager and have access to the Foundation Administrator. The role will promote our work in improving social mobility by awarding bursaries and grants to young people who would benefit the most from the additional support ICAS Foundation can offer. As well as financial support, this also includes a mentoring scheme and support with internships and graduate roles. 

The role will also offer the opportunity to work closely with the Foundation Director and support our engagement with charity supporters and members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Scotland (ICAS). The role will enjoy a variety of work in income generation and engagement of a membership body and firms within the accountancy profession.

Job Purpose and Duties:

The Head of Income and Engagement leads the strategic vision for fundraising initiatives at the ICAS Foundation, ensuring sustained financial support for impactful programs that enhance social mobility in the accountancy and finance sector.

Membership Fundraising:
• Develop and implement strategies to expand the Foundation's membership base, aligning with organisational goals.
• Execute engaging campaigns across diverse channels to attract new members.
• Outcome: Increase in membership numbers by 9% by 2026.

Individual Giving:
• Design and implement compelling campaigns for diverse donor segments.
• Develop personalised stewardship plans for major donors.
• Outcome: Achieve a 10% increase in individual donations over the course of the year.

Corporate Fundraising:
• Identify and engage corporate partners for sponsorship and donation opportunities.
• Cultivate strong relationships with corporate supporter​

Legacy Fundraising:
• Establish and promote legacy initiatives to secure long-term support.
• Collaborate with legal advisors for inclusion in donors' estate plans.
• Create and maintain an ongoing legacy giving program resulting in sustained contributions.

Event Fundraising:
• Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events to generate revenue and increase visibility.
• Collaborate with the events team for engaging experiences.
• Achieve a specified fundraising goal for each event and increase Foundation visibility.

Strategic Vision and Planning:
• Develop and lead the strategic vision for fundraising initiatives aligned with the Foundation's long-term objectives as set out in the 2030 Strategy.
• Implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy resulting in increased financial support and sustainability.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:
• Provide leadership and direction to the marketing and comms team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture. • Ensure cohesive teamwork leading to effective fundraising outcomes.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:
• Analyse fundraising performance, generate reports, and provide actionable insights.
• Regularly report on fundraising metrics and recommend strategies for improvement. 

What you do  

Main purpose of post 

To build a high-performing fundraising team to drive and stabilise significantly increased fundraising performance across a range of income streams. The post holder will lead the development and delivery of an ambitious and data driven fundraising strategy to successfully deliver Weston Park Cancer Charity’s vision. 

You will be instrumental in the development and delivery of a major 5 year charity appeal.  The appeal will raise the funds to enable a step change in our support of Weston Park Cancer Centre and the impact we have for people affected by Cancer in our region. The appeal forms the basis of the charity’s overall 5 year fundraising strategy.

Appeal Structure & Accountability:

Key Responsibilities 

Leadership

· Champion fundraising across the organisation.

· Be an inspiring ambassador for Weston Park Cancer Charity and ensure this is reflected in the strategies, outputs, and behaviour of the fundraising team.

· Actively contribute to leading Weston Park Cancer Charity as a member of the Leadership Team.

· Work closely with the Leadership Team to ensure that appropriate processes and systems are in place across the organisation, including delivery against KPIs.

· Attend and actively participate in relevant Board Committee meetings providing updates, necessary reports, and feedback on the charity’s fundraising.

· Lead cross-organisational projects in line with organisational strategy and direction.

· Build strong working relationships with colleagues across the organisation at all levels, adopting and encouraging a collaborative working approach.

· Keep abreast of, understand, clarify, and implement new or changes in relevant thinking and legislation, especially those directly affecting fundraising.

· Monitor and manage risk in accordance with the charity’s risk management policy.

Fundraising

· Lead the development and delivery of an ambitious and data driven fundraising strategy across a range of income streams to successfully deliver the charity’s vision

· Collaborate with the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Development to deliver the public phase of a 5 year major fundraising appeal

· Build and inspire a high-performing and results-oriented Fundraising Team focused on delivering sustainable income to maintain and build on recent organisational growth.

· Ensure that fundraising is supported by appropriate business/activity plans, and sound financial plans and budgets; and that performance is regularly monitored and evaluated against plans and budgets.

· Set, monitor, and deliver annual income and expenditure targets.

· Foster a culture of ambition and innovation and support the team to research, develop, and implement new fundraising approaches to recruit new donor groups across all income streams.

· Drive change and implement new ways of working across fundraising and the wider organisation in support of fundraising effectiveness.

· Manage relationships with key supporters and stakeholders and attend meetings and networking events to unlock new opportunities.

· Strengthen and build on existing supporter relationships, ensuring that all supporters receive a first-class experience.

· Support the team to develop professional and engaging fundraising materials including fundraising propositions, applications, proposals, appeals, pitches, and reports.

· Take overall responsibility for fundraising compliance and ensure that in all relevant areas, the charity complies with the law, regulation, and stakeholder and contractual obligations with third parties.

· Collaborate with the Data Manager to maintain oversight of the supporter database to ensure integrity, legal compliance, and generation of appropriate insight to support delivery of income growth.·  

Fundraising Development

· Work with the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Development, external advisor(s), commissioned agencies and the appeal committee to deliver a multi-year major fundraising appeal

· Work with the Legacy and In Memory Fundraising Manger to deliver and implement a legacy pipeline and growth in In-Memory giving income

· Work with the Individual Giving Fundraising Manager to deliver and implement a strategy which prioritises both the retention and acquisition of new donors, enhances the use of digital products, platforms, and channels and delivers the highest standard of supporter care and donor stewardship.

· Lead on the introduction of a charity lottery.

· Work with relevant colleagues to deliver a new strategy and plan which prioritises deepening and strengthening existing relationships and building a strong pipeline of new prospects to deliver multi-year funding from major donors, high profile supporters, trusts, foundations, and companies.

· Support the Data Manager with the adoption and use of Raisers Edge NXT CRM to effectively support data-driven decision making and relationship management to generate supporter insights in support of increased fundraising.

Brand and Marketing

· Working in collaboration with the Deputy CEO, Marketing Manager and external agencies in the development and delivery of an integrated marketing and communications strategy that is driven by audience insight.

· Foster a strong working relationship between the fundraising and marketing team to inspire high-performance and results-oriented marketing to build a community of supporters by delivering a seamless supporter journey that promotes the charity’s work and delivers greater income generation.

· Empower the fundraising team to successfully deploy our brand.

· Work in partnership with the Marketing Manager to ensure content is up to date, factually accurate and to manage reputational risk.·  

People Management

· Create a high-performing team that is ambitious and passionate about Weston Park Cancer Charity’s vision.

· Provide line management to direct reports, setting, and monitoring individual performance objectives and motivating the team to be innovative and professional in its thinking and delivery.

· Ensure all fundraising staff receive consistent and motivating direction and feedback to enable them to work to the best of their ability.

Director of Income Generation

An opportunity has arisen to join Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice as our new Director of Income Generation.  Reporting to the Chief Executive you will lead a dynamic and committed team to achieve ambitious income generation targets.  You will sustain and further develop a balanced, and diverse income generation portfolio, focusing on maximising income and growing enduring relationships with supporters and customers across our region.

This is an exciting time to join Phyllis Tuckwell with the successful candidate having the opportunity to plan and implement the final stage of our £6 million appeal to build a new hospice.

• Be a member of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to generate income and raise awareness of the Hospice mission and services.

The Role 
 
As our Communications Officer, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a wide range of communications that contribute to increased brand awareness of the charity, demonstrate the charity’s expertise and impact, educate the public about cancer prevention, signs, symptoms and screening and support the generation of income for the charity. 

Specifically, you will: 

• Plan, research, create and distribute creative media content, including press releases, blog posts, case studies and videos, to support research, services, cancer insight, fundraising, events, retail, corporate partnerships and campaigns. 

• Proactively seek, identify and engage in media opportunities, such as attending events, organising photo opportunities and meeting face-to-face with case studies.

• Manage third-party suppliers such as photographers and film production agencies, obtaining quotes, providing clear briefings and ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget.

• Respond to press enquiries efficiently and to a high standard. Understand which media enquiries are appropriate for the charity’s brand and key messages and those which are not, so that the charity prioritises only those which are value-adding. 

• Organise TV, radio and press interview opportunities for the Chief Executive, Directors and Heads of. Prepare clear briefings for interviewees. 

• Demonstrate and convey professionalism at all times and represent the charity when communicating with the media, members of the public, volunteers and supporters to demonstrate the charity’s core values.

• Monitor and evaluate the charity’s media coverage and the digital impact of PR content, providing a monthly media clippings report. 

• Provide PR input to the charity’s Leadership Team, Board reports and performance dashboards. 

• Maintain continuous awareness of industry news and regularly update colleagues on key developments. 

 
About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To be educated to a degree or equivalent level of education or have relevant experience in a similar role at a similar level. 

• Previous media experience, whether through journalism or a PR / in house media assistant role. 

• Experience in building relationships with colleagues and journalists and managing media opportunities such as interviews, broadcast opportunities and photocalls. 

• An ability to write compelling copy for multiple audiences, and media channels, often translating complicated information into a format that is easily understood by readers. 

• An agile media mind, able to spot the key storyline that will maximise the possibility of media coverage and attract the attention of the media. 

• An evaluative mindset, supporting continual improvement by analysing coverage and associated data from media activity. 

• An ability to keep a calm head when faced with a reactive media situation in a manner that best protects the reputation of the charity 

• A thoughtful and empathetic outlook, able to engage with people affected by cancer with sensitivity and respect.

EduSpots is an innovative, dynamic, and community-driven UK and Ghanaian registered charity which connects, trains, and equips voluntary community educators to drive community-led change through education spaces named ‘Spots’. Our vision is of our world where communities unite to create the futures they want to see, through education.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic fundraising professional, with a proven track record of income generation and a strong ability to develop impactful relationships with the skills to bring aligned individuals and organisations into our long-term EduSpots community. The post holder will be creative, passionate and self-motivated, with strong marketing and communications skills, able to design and implement strategic fundraising approaches. 

In this role, you will take on responsibility for identifying, creating and delivering impactful fundraising strategies that enable us to generate further relationships and income in support of our programmes. 

You will oversee the development of our individual giving and monthly giving strategies and further develop relationships with schools, corporate organisations and NGOs, with a focus on resource acquisition (e.g. books, electronic devices) alongside fundraising. You will also play a supportive role in events and campaigns, and work closely with our Head of Communications to ensure our marketing and communications strategy is integrated with our fundraising aims. Currently, we already have a trusts and foundations manager, but would welcome applicants with experience of trust fundraising.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

The key responsibilities of this role are to:

• Develop our individual giving and monthly giving strategies, including:

  • Ensuring we have the right tools in place.

  • Strengthening thanking and communications to existing supporters.

  • Trialling new strategies for outreach to new audiences.

• Organise occasional fundraising events (e.g. face-to-face events in London; virtual events and fundraising challenges).

• Support organisation and delivery of appeals and campaigns (e.g. the Big Give).

• Support the development of impactful relationships with schools, universities, corporates and NGOs for fundraising and resource acquisition (e.g. books, digital devices, science equipment). 

• If time and experience, possibly support grant applications. 

• Line manage, and provide support to, the intern/s (fundraising). 

Other

• Ensure all administrative tasks relating to the role are carried out accurately.

• To comply at all times with the organisation's policies, procedures and performance expectations of staff as set out in the Staff and Volunteers Handbook.

• To ensure compliance with data protection legislation.

Skills, Experience and Attributes

Essential

• Proven track record of successful income generation from individuals or communities - ideally in a similar education / international development organisation 

• Experience of developing and maintaining successful income generating relationships (e.g. with schools, corporates, individuals, communities)

• Experience of digital marketing to engage new charity supporters / donors (including using paid advertising and innovative engagement techniques)

• Experience of email marketing and donor conversion strategies

• Strong communication and marketing skills, ideally with basic design skills (Canva)

• Ability to work effectively in a remote based role with minimal day-to-day support 

• Outstanding interpersonal skills 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Ability to use own initiative and work to tight and competing deadlines

• Ability to effectively manage workload and prioritise tasks 

• Good IT skills - Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Zoom, Canva, Social Media

We are seeking an experienced candidate with a great understanding and knowledge of individual giving, who shows great leadership skills and the ability to collaborate across teams to maximise opportunities to achieve organisational growth.

The role will manage the Donor Acquisition Fundraiser and In-Memory Fundraiser and be responsible for the overall delivery of our individual giving strategy.

As the Individual Giving Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning and implementation of our individual giving programme of fundraising and activities, aimed at individuals. It will be the Individual Giving Manager’s responsibility to generate significant income through individual gifts, campaigns and appeals, regular giving, in memoriam giving, lottery and legacies, and to increase activity and income from these sources.

Your primary focus will be on recruiting new donors, retention through a gold standard supporter journey and income growth for these vital areas of fundraising, all while leading a dedicated team. You will be responsible for delivering innovative and creative appeals as well as supporting the fundraisers responsible for in-memory and donor acquisition to achieve their targets and objectives.

Individual Giving is a growing income stream for Birmingham Hospice, and this have been recognised by the Executive Team who are investing in this area, in particular regular giving and legacies.

Dyscover is a small, specialist charity providing long term support and opportunities to adults with aphasia, a complex language disability. We are looking for an experienced Business Manager with a strong Fundraising and Marketing background to join our team.

· Experience raising income from a range of income streams particularly Trusts and Foundations also including skills in managing events, individual donors, legacy, corporate and community fundraising.

· Finance and Project management experience.

· Strategic development skills.

· Health, wellbeing, and disability experience within the sector would be ideal.

You will manage, develop and market Hospital Discharge and Health & Wellbeing Services in Bromley and Greenwich and work in partnership with other providers. · The work will include some on call responsibilities on evenings and weekends for the Hospital Discharge Services which an extra payment will be made.

· To work in partnership with other providers and health partners across both boroughs.

· To work within the Bromley Well partnership and maintain contact with BTSE
