Purpose
This is an exciting new role supporting the delivery of the events and partnerships programme within a leading mental health charity.
We are looking for someone with a love for events and a passion for supporting people, who is excited by the prospect of raising funds that make a difference for young people’s mental health. You will be an excellent communicator, highly organised, and able to work on multiple projects concurrently. You will be committed to delivering an exceptional supporter experience for our event participants and corporate and community partners. Experience within the third sector is desirable but not a necessity.
As an Events and Partnerships Officer, your role is to support the planning, delivery and promotion of an exciting calendar of fundraising events, and support our corporate and community partners in their fundraising efforts.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Supporting our events programme

• Supporting the overall delivery of our events programme, working closely with the Senior Events and Partnerships Manager, Head of Fundraising and voluntary fundraising committees.
• Take a lead role on the planning, delivery and evaluation of a number of events within the calendar - which may include budgeting, liaising with third-party event organisers, logistics, risk assessment, promotion, participant engagement and post-event analysis.
• Monitor online fundraising and maintain event income and supporter records in the database, working closely with the Fundraising Assistant and finance team on processing income and invoices.
• Act as a point of contact for our various voluntary fundraising committees, supporting them with their activities, and providing event guidance and administrative support to enable them to deliver successful events and reach income targets.
• Working closely with our communications team, co-ordinate the marketing and promotion of our events programme. This will include: writing copy, building emails, supporting social activity, multi-channel promotion planning and supporter engagement campaigns.
• Collaborate on the design and production of event materials, including the development of event-specific fundraising packs and downloadable resources.
• Represent the Charlie Waller Trust at events as required which will include ad-hoc evenings and weekends for which time off in lieu will be given.

Supporting our partnerships

• Co-ordinate partnerships with community and corporate supporters, building long-term relationships and ensuring that partners feel valued and partnership objectives are met.
• Steward relationships with key people within our community and corporate partners, engaging them with the cause.
• Send fundraising materials (including t-shirts, information packs, etc.) to individual supporters, corporate partners and community groups raising money for us.

General responsibilities and duties

• Ensure that systems and processes are used as expected, and that our database is being updated and utilised as the central source of information.
• Provide regular updates on progress against agreed objectives and contribute to wider departmental fundraising reports as required.Ensure compliance to data protection, safeguarding, confidentiality and relevant organisational policies and procedures.
• Other duties as may be reasonably prescribed by the trust, appropriate to the grade and responsibilities of the post.
• Liaise with a wide variety of people and organisations including supporters of the charity, trainers and funders.
• Routine call handling as part of the wider office administrative team.

The Corporate Volunteering Manager plays a central role in this by managing our successful and impactful Corporate Volunteering Programme. Each year through this programme, we train hundreds of volunteers from our corporate partners to visit primary schools and share examples of how maths has helped them as adults, both in their careers and personal lives.

This crucial work helps change us to the inter-generational narrative about numeracy in the UK. Maths is not just something you ‘have to do at school’, but is a valuable skill that helps us get on at work, and manage our time and our money. The programme has been running for three years now, and this year’s activity looks set to have meaningful impact on at least 17,000 children across the UK.

You will be responsible for ensuring that volunteers are adequately trained, for recruiting appropriate schools for them to visit, and all the admin and reporting that supports the programme.

We are looking for someone who can ‘own the programme’, is committed to improving our processes and the efficiency of delivery, with strong line management skills, and a commitment to the professional development for the Corporate Volunteering Programmes Assistant.

National Numeracy is based in Brighton, East Sussex, but we are offering significant remote/hybrid and flexible working with this role. Job Summary 

Working with the Senior Corporate Partnership Manager, this role supports high-value corporate partnerships through engagement, stewardship, and identifying new opportunities aligned with the charity’s goals. This newly established role in the income team reflects the growth of MHI’s partnerships and offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious corporate fundraiser with a passion for digital mental health. MHI is at a pivotal point in its development, having experienced significant growth since launching in 2017. Key Responsibilities

• Support with high value corporate partnerships, including the delivery of employee engagement activities and communications, fundraising events and challenges
• Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, delivering first class stewardship and identifying and maximising opportunities for wider engagement

Person Specification

Essential

• 3+ years working with corporate partners, including building at least one new large corporate partnership
• 3+ years experience of working on community fundraising projects with the charity or through a corporate partner
• Experience of being highly organised, managing multifaceted partnerships in a charity setting, covering multiple projects and teams, and including reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with varying audiences, including corporate partners
• A strong interest in mental health and in data and technology, and an understanding of corporate partnership opportunities for the sector

Desirable

• Experience of using Salesforce or equivalent CRM.
• Experience of both face to face and virtual stakeholder meetings with high value corporate funders

Reporting in to the Financial Planning & Analysis Lead, the Senior Finance Business Partner (Income) will champion strategic financial insight and support within the Income and Public Engagement Department, driving accurate financial planning, analysis, and reporting for income streams, working closely with fundraising and institutional teams, including the development of funding bids.

The post-holder will enable effective decision making through data-driven insights, ensuring financial sustainability and fosters a mindset that aligns with Christian Aid's strategic objectives

• Partner with the Income and Public Engagement team to develop and champion accurate income forecasts, budget plans, and financial models.
• Provide financial insights and challenge assumptions which drive and optimise income generation strategies, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
• Ensure financial reporting for income is accurate, timely, and meets internal and external compliance requirements, including donor regulations.
• Collaborate with fundraising teams to provide financial insights on donor trends, unrestricted vs. restricted income, and return on investment.

About you

• Professional finance qualification.

About Our Role

You will contribute to the strategic direction of F6IT ensuring we achieve our vision where disabled children and young adults and with their families and friends can together and inclusively, enjoy a rewarding life which is fun, beneficial and above all fulfilling. 

As the Fundraising Manager you will work to maximise the available funding, income generation and activities for the work of F6IT.

• You will work with the CEO/Trustees to develop and deliver a targeted and strategic programme for Trusts, Grants, and Fundraising to secure long-term income.
• Develop, write and deliver high quality tailored and persuasive applications and proposals for funding in line with F6IT's strategic objectives.
• Prepare regular up to date funding reports for the CEO, Trustees and wider F6IT team.
• Plan and support delivery of F6IT's Funding activities.
• Identify new Corporate Supporters and Partnerships.
• Essential experience and skills - Track record of income generation accross one or more income. streams,strong organisational and communication skills, solid IT and Computer skills.

We are The Bike Project, a charity that collects second-hand bikes, refurbishes them and donates them to refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK. That brings better health, freedom and independence to people rebuilding their lives in the UK. That’s vital when many are living on less than £10 a week.

A bike links people to essential services, including foodbanks and legal advice, as well as the local community. 

About Us

The Bike Project is an award-winning charity which refurbishes second hand bikes and donates them to refugees.  We were founded in 2013 by, Jem Stein, after he struck up a friendship and found a bike for Adam, a Darfuri refugee who had fled his home in Sudan after war broke out.

The Bike Project has grown into a national operation with new CEO, hundreds of volunteers, a team of 20 committed staff, roadshows in different cities, an online shop and two workshops, one in the capital and one in Birmingham.

To date we have supported over 15,000 refugees and people seeking asylum by giving them a second-hand bike. In addition, we have supported hundreds through our programmes designed to build confidence and build friendships in the local community.

Duites and Responsibilities 

This role will provide maternity cover for an initial period of 12 months, with the potential for a 1–2 month extension. It will focus on developing new corporate partnerships and managing relationships with our existing corporate supporters.The role holder will work closely with the Chief Executive and Head of Fundraising, Marketing and Retail to ensure a strategic approach to the development and management of relationships with our corporate partners, enabling us to maximise the potential from them.

As well as leading income generation, the post will develop current and new corporate partnerships, providing personalised stewarding journeys.

Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of securing income directly from corporates for charity, both winning and securing new partnerships as well as maintaining and developing existing supporters. They will be able to prioritise, manage pipelines, research, pitch and manage partnerships to increase their value.

Location

Hybrid, with one day a week working from our London (Brixton) office. Occasional travel required to Birmingham, evening or weekend work.

Category Manager | £55,000 - £60,000 + Benefits | 12-month FTC | London - Hybrid Working

For a large UK-wide Housing Association, we're recruiting a Category Manager on a 12-month FTC. During a period of significant investment in service provision and effective category management and business partnering, the Category Manager will continue this journey of operational excellence and will develop and lead strategic sourcing, agreeing procurement strategy for several supply chain categories taking a commercial and compliant approach in development the best routes to market.

What you'll be doing:

• Work alongside the group procurement team and senior procurement manager to develop and deliver operationally excellent strategies for a portfolio of supply chain categories
• Lead on the development, procurement and implementation of category strategies, ensuring contracts awarded deliver value for money
• Identify key supply relationships to drive improvement in value for money, performance, quality, service and innovation
• Develop successful supply chain relationships though supplier visits, and understanding end-to-end supply chains
• Develop extensive market research and analysis and evaluate market intelligence to support procurement strategies
• Monitor and report on supplier performance across the group for assigned categories
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure all portfolio suppliers are monitored during their contracts, and facilitate the review and audit of spend categories
• Develop and provide management information on category spend across all budgets and procurement efficiencies
• Develop best practices to ensure regulatory and governance compliance.

What you'll offer us:

• CIPS qualified (or studying towards)
• Proven track record in applying Public Contracts Regulations (PCR 2015) knowledge to the management of end-to-end procurement activity
• Experience in Corporate Services Category Management (HR, Finance, Facilities, Marketing)
• Experience using different routes to market including frameworks/DPS and other tender approaches
• Experience delivering high-value complex procurement solutions
• Proven experience of providing expert procurement advice to a range of stakeholders

Fundraising Manager

As the Fundraising Manager for Behind Closed Doors, you will play a key role in developing and delivering a fundraising strategy aligned with the organisation’s vision, mission and values. This is an exciting and varied role with an opportunity for the post-holder to put their own stamp on it. As our Fundraising Manager, you will build on existing relationships with individual donors, community groups and corporate partners, as well as seeking new opportunities.

You will be joining a committed and dynamic team; line managing the Training and Development Coordinator, working within the senior management team and reporting to the CEO.
