Peaches Womb Cancer Trust is looking for an experienced Marketing and Communications Manager who is passionate about developing accessible and relevant assets that reach all current and future stakeholders of our charity. This is a hands-on, creative role that would suit someone passionate about social media, marketing, and making a difference in the lives of others.

You will undertake a wide range of marketing and communications activities and have an opportunity to inform our direction of travel. The role is part time, working remotely with a requirement to attend regular team meetings in the Greater Manchester area. 

It is crucial that anyone at risk of, living with and living beyond womb cancer has a clear understanding of Peaches’ mission, vision and support. In this role, you will develop our marketing and communications strategy; planning and implementing tailored activity. You will be responsible for growing the online presence of Peaches Womb Cancer Trust and deepening engagement with stakeholders, ensuring our message reaches the right audiences in the most effective ways. You will also have prime responsibility for managing our social media channels, creating digital content and campaigns that raise awareness, promote fundraising and share the stories of those we support.

You will work closely with our Clinical Nurse Specialist and Operations Executive and will be responsible for ensuring that we have the assets and materials we need to achieve maximum sustainable impact for the charity. You will work within our branding guidelines and budget to build upon our previous assets and materials, increasing engagement across all platforms including the media. You will also work with national and international partners on joint campaigns, press releases and events. This is a varied and exciting role. There’s never a dull moment at Peaches!

Your Role

Key responsibilities include

Community Engagement and Fundraising

• Develop relationships and apply to Leeds based groups for funding.

Regular Giving and Supporter Growth

• Promote and grow regular giving schemes within community networks.
• Work with supporters to turn event participants and one-off donors into long-term givers.
• Support the Marketing Manager to develop messaging, materials and campaigns that encourage sustained support.

Supporter Data and Income Tracking

• Monitor and report on all income and supporter engagement, using the charity’s CRM.
• Ensure all activity is compliant with Fundraising Regulator Code of Practice and GDPR requirements.
• Set and monitor targets aligned with departmental KPIs and board reporting cycles.

What we need from you

The Role

As CEO, you will provide inspirational leadership, overseeing all aspects of the organisations work in the UK and abroad, ensuring continued impact and growth. You will manage our fundraising programme, finances, and operations, as well as motivate and inspire a small but highly dedicated team and network of volunteers.

You will:

• Lead the organisation’s strategy, safeguarding its mission and values.
• Oversee all fundraising, awareness-raising, and financial management.
• Report regularly to the Board of Trustees, working closely with the founder as she transitions to her role as Chairman of Trustees.
• Be the public face of the charity, representing us at events, with donors, and in the media.
• Manage relationships with our Patrons, celebrities, supporters, and volunteers.
• Oversee major fundraising events including our Candlelit Christmas Concert, Gala Gourmet Dinner Dance, and 25th Birthday celebrations in 2026.

This role is central to ensuring that more children and families in Darfur can access lifesaving and sustainable support, enabling communities to thrive despite unimaginable hardship.

About You

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated leader with a strong track record of management, fundraising, and financial acumen. You will be values-driven and compassionate, with the ability to inspire others and build meaningful relationships at all levels.

You will have:

• Proven senior leadership experience, ideally in the charitable or not-for-profit sector.
• Strategic thinking skills with strong financial and operational management experience.
• Demonstrable success in fundraising and developing new income streams.
• Experience of working with Boards of Trustees and managing governance requirements.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience of acting as a public spokesperson.
• The ability to inspire, manage, and grow staff, volunteers, and supporter networks.

Desirable:

• Ability to speak Arabic.

As Senior Business Development & Partnerships Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities, particularly in corporate partnerships, trust fundraising, and strategic collaborations, while also shaping how we position and promote our offer.

Who are we looking for?

This role requires a collaborative and entrepreneurial self-starter who can effectively manage and grow our existing network of funders, while also contributing to the development of our evolving business model.

You’ll bring:

• Significant experience in securing income from corporate partnerships and/or trusts and foundations
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to quickly understand social impact areas and align them with funder priorities
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to write persuasive proposals and deliver compelling pitches
• A strategic mindset, with experience contributing to organisational planning and growth
• The ability to develop tailored business models and outreach campaigns with both speed and care
• A collaborative, confident approach and experience working at a senior level, including with CEOs or executive teams
• A team player mindset, interested in helping shape great organisational culture and performance
