Main Purpose of the Role 

The main objectives of the Corporate Fundraising Manager role is to lead the Corporate Partnerships programme; sourcing, developing and sustaining funding partnerships with a wide range of companies. This is a senior and hands-on role.  You will take responsibility for developing and sustaining your own portfolio of corporate partners working with them to secure significant funds.

Main Areas of Responsibility 

• Implement a corporate strategy which increases income and the number of corporate partners to exceed targets and build the pipeline for future years.

• Provide line management support to the corporate fundraiser(s), including setting objectives, key performance indicators and carrying out appraisals. 

• Secure new business support from companies, taking a strategic and proactive approach to new business development.

• Develop creative and compelling new business pitches, presentations and proposals for a range of corporates including COTY applications, CRM, beneficiary events and cross organisational offers, working closely with the Director of Fundraising & Marketing.

• Develop a dense pipeline of corporate partnership prospects, with a potential focus on locally-based large companies as well as national organisations who consider local charity partnerships.

• Identify and secure opportunities through proactive relationship development and peer to peer introductions.

• Maximise corporate income through exemplary stewardship and strategic development of existing and new corporate partners, including account management, developing and implementing account plans, new ideas and opportunities for income generation.

• Manage income and expenditure budgets to ensure annual targets are met, providing regular reports to the Director of Fundraising & Marketing.

• Manage and oversee the administration linked to corporate fundraising, ensuring information is entered and updated accurately onto Salesforce.

• Undertake other duties that may, from time to time, be necessary and compatible with the nature and grade of this post.

Person Specification

Essential:

SUDEP Action is the only UK charity focused on preventing epilepsy-related deaths. We have the only epilepsy bereavement service freely available to anyone suddenly bereaved by epilepsy (including SUDEP). By representing the voices of those who have died and who are bereaved, we aim to learn from deaths, and use research, policy and campaigns to raise awareness and take action that helps save lives. 

Working both independently and with the wider team you will deliver a high-quality community fundraising service. We’re looking for someone who has worked in a fundraising department and/or similar role before, preferably in the charity sector. Engaging confidently with people and feeling comfortable in adapting your approach to different audiences is a key skill for this role - whether they are major donors, corporates or community fundraisers. This is particularly important as many of our supporters & fundraisers are bereaved.

Building positive supporter connections is at the heart of what we do at SUDEP Action, so setting a positive example of this through your plans and actions, and demonstrating the importance of maintaining strong, personalised supporter relationships is key. You’ll know how to follow processes to record, monitor and evaluate supporters’ engagement with community fundraising activities, so this feeds back into how the charity operates.

Much of the charity’s income comes from our motivated and passionate supporters, so this role is a key part of income generation. The successful candidate will be able to build on current processes and successes to grow our engagement across all fundraising activities, platforms and campaigns. Experience of bid/grant writing would be desirable.  

This is a key new role in the Grants, Community and Corporate Partnerships Unit to help maximise corporate and community partnership opportunities and help scale up this growing income stream for future years.  This locally based role will support current partnerships (including golf clubs, churches, schools and local corporates) as well as scoping new opportunities across Surrey. Representing Eikon in person at events, meetings, exhibitions as well event coordination are important components of this the role. We are a diverse, highly experienced team who share a passion to support the wellbeing and mental health of young people across Surrey.

Responsibilities

1. Account Management

• Day to day/ support account management of select corporate and community partnerships. This will be agreed with their manager per partnership (who will retain leadership), but could include:
  • General stewardship including thanking and recording information on our CRM database (Donorfy) and shared drives.
  • Representing the unit at local level events and/ or delivering marketing materials to community partners.
  • Regular communication including calls, meetings and sharing reports, presentations and other updates
• Being key relationship holder for select local corporate partnerships and community groups such as primary schools, churches, supermarkets, amateur sports clubs
• Database admin including checking opportunity pipelines and reporting requirements 
• Supporting individuals from companies or community groups to fundraise for us

2. Income generation

• Mapping (desktop research) of corporate and community opportunities across Surrey to support unit’s business development plans
• Management of a pipeline of golf clubs, making timely approaches to help the unit secure new captains’ charities
• Support role on larger corporate and community partnership pitches. 

3. Event support

• Event management and/ or support for events across the unit. 
• Represent Eikon at local external events such as conferences, expos, fetes and fairs.
• Actively seeking prize donations for auctions, raffles and events
• Attending community led fundraising events such as quizzes or mufti days run by corporate & community organisations.

4. Marketing, Communications and relationships

• Support and liaise with the Marketing and Communications team to deliver relevant and effective content and materials as well as maximising social media opportunities for corporate and community groups
• Coordinate bespoke mass communications to corporate and community groups e.g. appeals, reports and updates.

5. Strategy

• Contribute to Development Team strategies, annual plans and budgets

6. Staff management

• Take part in regular supervision and team meetings.

7. Quality and standards

• Ensure all staff and volunteers understand and deliver within Eikon’s safeguarding policies and practices when taking part in fundraising activities.
• Ensure all activities follow the relevant Fundraising Codes of Practice and Eikon’s Ethical Fundraising Policy.
• Prepare relevant Partnership Agreements and Commercial Participator Agreements.
• Carry out risk assessments for all activities for which you are responsible.
• Carry out required due diligence on new corporate opportunities and ensure the company’s values do not conflict with the values or ethical policy of the charity.

Tinnitus UK is the only registered charity in the UK supporting the one in seven adults who have tinnitus!  The charity has recently renamed and rebranded.  All part of the ambitious plans fo the charity to raise its profile and relevance even further, to reach and help more people than ever.  We are looking for a Fundraising and Events Administrator to provide administrative and operational support to the Fundraising Managers (Corporate, Major Donor, Legacy, Individual Membership, Trusts & Foundations) and to the Head of Services by administering donor and supporter records and assisting with events and general operational duties.

Salford Foodbank provides emergency food parcels to local people who are referred to us in crisis. Food is donated, sorted and packed at our warehouse, then delivered to our 7 centres across Salford, where teams of volunteers greet people as they pick up their food parcels. People can also access support and advice at our centres to help them maximise their income and ensure they are less likely to need to use the foodbank again.

You’ll be joining a friendly team of 6 part-time staff, 6 Trustees and approx. 80 volunteers, all dedicated to supporting people facing hardship. We are part of The Trussell Trust, a nationwide network of foodbanks.

We are seeking a Fundraising Assistant at York Minster Fund for an initial fixed term contract of 12 months, commencing summer 2024. This part time, flexible role will support our team in administrative and fundraising tasks across a range of exciting activities and events, helping to raise funds for the Minster’s ongoing work.

Our ideal candidate will be a positive, enthusiastic and confident communicator across different groups of people and keen to gain experience across projects and events. We are looking for someone with some demonstrable customer service/administrative/business experience and sound IT skills; as well as an enquiring mindset with a willingness to learn about the fascinating world of philanthropy, fundraising and conservation. 

York Minster Fund is the lead fundraising partner for York Minster. We are an independent organisation, with a separate board of Trustees, who work closely with colleagues across the Cathedral to secure income for a number of much needed projects and programmes of work. Established in 1967, as an emergency response to an urgent restoration project, we secure funds from charitable foundations, major and corporate donors, legacy donors, individuals and events. 

Our funds provide much needed income for a wide range of projects, including the fabric and repair of the iconic Minster itself, the training of apprentices in traditional heritage crafts and strategic initiatives such as the realisation of the Minster's new international Centre of Excellence for Heritage Skills and Estate Management. 

In the last year we have built on existing strong fundraising relationships and techniques to explore new ways of engaging donors and digital audiences and this is an exciting time to join the Fund as we move forward on a number of major projects. As part of our small but highly experienced team, no two days are the same and the role could see you supporting with many different projects and tasks including donor events administration and delivery, correspondence and research.

Job Description

NURTURE RELATIONSHIPS WITH OUR PARTNERS: Manage and foster excellent relationships with our long-term partners supporting our conservation work in Indonesian Borneo, including NGOs, zoos, corporates and other organisations; extend thanks and provide resources and advice to support them with their activities.

2. SHOUT ABOUT CLIMATE CONSERVATION: Report progress on our conservation work in Indonesian Borneo to long-term partners by drafting high-quality reports in close collaboration and support to our Grants Officer.
Fundraising:

3. SECURE FUNDING TO DO GOOD: Support the development and expansion of BNF International’s fundraising activities by identifying and securing new opportunities and
partnerships, participating in the BNF Global Outreach Team working groups and supporting the Marketing and Fundraising Manager.

4.FUNDRAISE FOR OUR 1 MILLION TREES CAMPAIGN: develop opportunities for the BNF 1 Million Trees Campaign and further reforestation campaigns by identifying dedicated habitat restoration and tree-planting donors globally; introducing our project and establishing partnerships, bringing directors into the conversation as necessary, and managing relationships with donors in the long term.

5. COLLABORATE: Identify and follow-up on new fundraising opportunities which BNF can set up or take part in to widen our reach and encourage members of the public to support or fundraise for BNF, for example by way of BNF-led challenges, charity places in sponsored events, online fundraising and other means of raising funds and awareness.

6.REPRESENT US: Occasionally attend external events to support partnership development and individual giving fundraising.

General:

7.Provide general support across the BNF International organisation and wider BNF family, to all staff and volunteers, to help ensure the efficient, effective and successful running of our activities; and to provide advice and insight to enhance the effectiveness and impact of BNF International.

Please have all or some of the following skills and experience:
-Educated at degree or master’s level in a conservation or related scientific area.
-Previous fundraising experience desirable
-Excellent people skills, enjoy dealing confidently with people at all levels as well as external stakeholders.
-Ability to turn scientific information into content that can be easily understood by non-scientific audiences.
-Ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks, manage workload and develop the role

MedEquip4Kids is a Manchester based national charity that improves the health of babies and children across the UK by providing hospitals with equipment not available from limited NHS resources. We are looking for a Fundraising Partnerships Officer to join this small but mighty fundraising team and grow the vital income for this incredible charity!

The Role

By joining MedEquip4Kids in this capacity you will play an important role within the charity and duties will include:

• Maximising the charity’s income through the development of the corporate, trust and community fundraising portfolio.
• Developing a pipeline of new prospects and relationships (including one off donations, corporate partnerships and event participation).
• Researching, completing and submitting corporate trust applications.
• Providing positive leadership to volunteers and corporate donors ensuring effective stewardship and stakeholder engagement.

The role is varied and interesting and provides an opportunity for you enlist support to raise funds that will have a real impact on the lives of babies and children across the UK.

The Person

To be considered for this role you should come to us with experience of managing relationships and of working towards income targets. You should be a strong and confident communicator with the ability to build relationships with new contacts and develop existing relationships to maximise engagement. You should also have good written communication skills and the knowledge and ability to write compelling cases for support to obtain funds for the charity. We would welcome someone who has significant fundraising experience, but also those with awareness and interest in this area with the transferable skills to make a success of this rewarding career! Most importantly you should be passionate about the incredible work of this charity and be a positive addition to team that will further enable the organisation to achieve its mission and demonstrate its values.
