The Events Coordinator Role will be part of the Philanthropy & Events Team, within the Income and Engagement Directorate, and will report to our Philanthropy Events Manager.

Philanthropy Report Specialist

As Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for both the day-to-day financial operations and the wider financial strategy of the charity. You’ll be hands-on with routine finance tasks, from processing transactions and reconciling accounts to managing invoices and payments and liaising with our payroll provider. You will also lead the systems, reporting and planning that underpins UKMSA’s long-term sustainability and impact.

You’ll ensure our finances are accurate, up-to-date, and well-documented, providing clear reporting and insight to support confident decision-making. Alongside the day-to-day work, you’ll prepare management accounts, forecasts and budgets; oversee both restricted and unrestricted income; produce year-end accounts and the annual financial report; lead the annual budgeting process; and provide trusted financial advice to colleagues and trustees to keep us on track with our strategic goals.

UKMSA exists to support the vitality, creativity and sustainability of Men’s Sheds, and to amplify the voices and impact of Shedders. As Finance Manager, you’ll work in partnership with the Director of Income and Investment, playing a key role in making sure UKMSA is financially secure, transparent, and able to increase and develop our support for the Shedding movement.

This is a varied and practical role, ideal for someone with a recognised accountancy qualification and experience in charity finance. You’ll be confident using AccountsIQ (or similar systems), able to manage detail while keeping an eye on the bigger picture, and comfortable explaining financial information to non-finance colleagues. We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Store Manager to join Barnardo's on a Full Time, Permanent Basis.

As a Store Manager you will manage the day to day running of our Kirkby Stephen Store, leading a team of colleagues to maximise store sales and profits. By doing so you will play a crucial role in raising the funds for the amazing services and support Barnardo's provides for children, young people, parents, and carers across the UK.

Working Pattern: As the store is open 7 days a week, the successful post holder will be required to on a rota basis which will include weekend, evening, and bank holiday working.

Parking is available behind the shop and there is also a free car park nearby to the store.

Some but not all key responsibilities are:

• Ensuring stock is generated over the door by members of the public and donors sign up to the Gift Aid scheme.
• Ensure that the high standard of service to customers that is expected by Barnardo's is maintained at all times.
• Implement promotions in the Store as directed by Head Office or your Area Business Manager.
• Maintain a high standard of presentation, both in the windows and the interior of the Store.
• Ensure there is adequate stock available on the shop floor, at all times, on all key lines
• Provide training, development, work reviews and appraisals for paid staff to enable them to perform their jobs efficiently and effectively.
• Create an organised and pleasant working environment for staff and volunteers.
• Actively recruit the correct/specified number volunteers to deliver the stores objectives and KPI's.
• Ensure all financial, cash handling and security procedures are adhered to as per the Barnardo's Manager's Manual and the relevant Retail procedures.

Summary

The Interim Head of Funding will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the funding strategy of our three charities (Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity, Guy’s Cancer Charity and Evelina London Children’s Charity). Key responsibilities:

Funding

· Responsible for overseeing the end-to-end funding process from development of applications to decisions and monitoring of funded programmes.

· Overseeing ongoing delivery of the funding strategy by working with Funding Managers to effectively deliver and manage funding portfolios.

· Co-chairing of funding committees as required, supporting delivery in line with our governance structures.

· Oversee effective management of our Special Purpose Funds (SPFs)

· Working with finance teams and Funding Managers to ensure appropriate financial reporting and information is available across our funding portfolio.

· Supporting on financial and operational planning in-year, at mid-year review and in planning for future years, in line with our strategy.

· Supporting Funding Managers to maintain strong relationships with the Trust leads, to enable a partnership approach

· Working closely with the Head of Evaluation & Learning to ensure evaluation and learning are embedded at every stage of the funding cycle

· Leading on cross-team programmes of work such as embedding health equity into our funding, deliver effective patient and public engagement (working with the Patient and Public Engagement Manager) across our decision-making and deliver improvements to our grant-making.

Other

· Provide line management to the Funding Managers and Patient and Public Engagement Manager as well as supporting the overall work of the wider team.

· As a key senior leader of the Funding and Impact Team, contribute and support the wider work of the team.

We’re looking for a dynamic, strategic and articulate professional fundraiser to drive forward our emerging major donor programme. Working alongside senior Laureus staff and stakeholders to connect, cultivate and steward high net worth individuals around the work of the Foundation, the post holder will be expected to design and support the execution of a range of high-quality events leaning on the excellent brand profile assets at Laureus’ disposal.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Proven track record of successful fundraising experience

Risk & Compliance

• Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.

• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.

• Proactively identify and mitigate financial risks, including currency, interest rate, and credit exposures.

Operational Excellence

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve high performance.

• Oversee treasury, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and procurement functions.

• Drive process improvements, automation, and use of financial systems to enhance efficiency.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Manage relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, banks, investors, and regulators.

• Support fundraising, mergers & acquisitions, and investment initiatives as required.

• Communicate complex financial information in a clear and actionable way to non-financial stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Professional finance qualification (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA, CFA) strongly preferred.

• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.

• Proven track record in financial strategy, planning, and execution within a growing or complex organization.

• Strong understanding of corporate finance, tax, compliance, and risk management.

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive business performance.

• Experience in charity sector an advantage

The Role
We're seeking a passionate and strategic Programme Manager to join our entrepreneurial team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a creative, fluid environment and is excited about building programmes from the ground up and developing meaningful relationships with a growing network of partner schools as we scale our impact. This is a London-based role, primarily working at the charity’s headquarters in West London.

Role starts from September 2025. 

What You'll Own

• Building relationships with existing school partners and identifying and onboarding new school partners
• Designing and leading innovative volunteering programmes
• Monitoring and collating impact from the charity’s programmes and refining the charity’s impact data collection
• Managing programme/ event budgets

Key Responsibilities

Programme Delivery

• Promoting the charity’s work with new school and community partners and onboarding new schools
• Preparing proposals and designing and organising volunteering programmes with partner schools.
• Leading the programme delivery across a range of activities, including trips, clubs, giving back days and one-off events an projects
• Recording event data on the charity’s CRM
• Ensuring the safety and compliance of all TimeGivers’ activities including conducting risk assessments and  ensuring adequate staffing levels

Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning

• Compiling termly/ end of year school impact reports
• Collating impact from all school partners
• Liaising with external impact consultants as required, refining the charity’s metrics, impact data and collection

Finance and Fundraising

• Preparation and ownership of event/programme budgets
• Issuing donation requests and receipts to the charity’s partners.
• Recording and monitoring expenditure for all programme activities, liaising with the charity’s finance team when required
• Liaising with the Fundraising team and assisting with programme related grant applications
