Initially, the post-holder will take responsibility for fundraising for our ongoing expansion project. As the role develops, there will be the opportunity to actively grow the fundraising and development function looking at regular and legacy giving from across the school’s supporters.
Main purpose of the role:
Working with the Governors and Senior Management Team (SMT), building relationships with friends of the school and creating new links with high-net worth individuals. Keeping a relevant database of prospects, donors and links including communications, pledges and actual donations.
To research, prepare and submit well written applications based on information provided by the Governors and SMT with bids of four, five and six figures to trusts, foundations and statutory bodies. Tracking and coordinating applications.
To identify, cultivate and secure corporate philanthropic partnerships.
Create and run suitable fundraising events for the Unicorn School’s expansion project.
Reporting to stakeholders regarding fundraising progress for the expansion project.
Person Specification:
At least five years’ experience in fundraising would be preferred.
Work to the highest professional ethical standard as set out by The Chartered Institute of Fundraising or other, relevant professional body.
A proven track record of drafting meaningful, successful proposals to trusts and foundations and other relevant bodies be they corporate or individuals.
Evidence of an aptitude to work with senior, highly influential and well-connected supporters, donors and canvassers.
An expert understanding of the core principles of trust and foundation fundraising, with a focus on building long-term and sustained senior relationships with grant makers.
A proven track record in identifying, cultivating and soliciting significant donations from high-net-worth individuals.

We are seeking an experienced individual to support the Corporate Partnerships Manager in ensuring the maximum potential income is generated from the corporate sector by reviewing, implementing, and maintaining a Corporate strategy.
The successful candidate will use the Donorflex CRM System to ensure a smooth supporter journey, will capitalise on existing supporters and work with the wider income generation team to identify new opportunities for corporate support and strategic business partnerships.

Main Responsibilities
As one of our regionally dispersed Community Fundraiser's, you'll be joining a busy team, where you will manage relationships with our key supporters with the primary purpose of generating income across a geographical area, through community fundraising activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering income targets across the region by building strong relationships with individuals, local companies, community groups and volunteers, in line with our community fundraising strategy. You'll be able to demonstrate a track record of meeting income targets through relationship fundraising. 2wish exists to provide support to anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under.
Aims:
- Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite
- Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
- Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide support to individuals who witness the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide support and training to professionals from any sector who may be affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- To advocate and campaign on behalf of suddenly bereaved families
Context of role:
2wish supports anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We are a largely self-funded charity providing support across Wales and more recently, in the bordering counties with England. Our support team works very closely with our fundraising team to increase income but also to raise awareness of the work of 2wish.
This is a unique opportunity for two individuals to raise awareness of the charity, building it’s profile and engaging communities across the English counties that border Wales. It will involve helping to organise fundraising events, working with volunteers and encouraging community fundraising opportunities.
Main duties:
- To help raise awareness of 2wish and the work we do in England
- To work alongside the support team in England, Phase I and to build on the reputation of 2wish

We are looking for an experienced individual to support grant application management and the production of high-quality narrative and financial reports. Reporting to the Development and Grants Lead - Indonesia, the role will work closely with our field-based teams and partner NGOs in multiple countries worldwide, focusing on fundraising and grant management in Indonesia.
The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience in maintaining systems to keep track of funding applications and reports and ensuring accountability to and compliance with donor requirements.
Experience in the environmental conservation and international development sectors would be beneficial. Fluency in English is required.
The successful candidate will be motivated, proactive, highly organised, and able to assimilate and interpret large volumes of information into clear and compelling applications and reports.
Assessment of applications will include candidates’ alignment with BV’s core values and mission to support human rights-based approaches to marine conservation and fisheries management.

About us: Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Since 2003, Tender’s work has grown and diversified from a single workshop programme delivered to schools, into a broader range of programmes reaching both children and young people and professionals with a safeguarding responsibility such as teachers, youth workers, social care workers and foster carers. About the role: We now have a need for a coordinator to work closely with the whole development team (comprising a Development Director, Development Manager, Development Officer, Major Donor Consultant and the CEO) in coordinating all aspects of our fundraising work, from identifying prospects, creating compelling funding applications through to successfully managing relationships with funders. This role will give you experience of all of our funding streams, as well as exposure to our funders through your work in organising and managing our various events throughout the year, such as our annual awards.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting all members of the Development team to achieve the team’s annual fundraising targets
- Preparing and submitting applications in support of fundraising from trusts & foundations, statutory funders, corporates, major donors, and individual givers
- Supporting all members of the Development team to develop relationships with Tender’s funders and successfully steward relationships to achieve further funding
- Supporting the Development team in coordinating and delivering events in support of Tender’s fundraising activities
Essential requirements:
- Good understanding of the principles of different fundraising streams, including trusts & foundations and corporate
- Proficiency in office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines
- Forming sound, evidence-based decisions and taking personal responsibility for actions
- Thinking ahead, managing time, priorities and risks, and developing structured and efficient approaches to deliver work on time and to a high standard
