The Fundraising team is a small but mighty national team. Income is generated through High Net-Worth Individuals, Corporate Partnerships and Trusts & Foundations. Our Corporate Partnerships function is led by a Senior Manager along with a Volunteering & Partnerships Manager and Fundraising Officer.
Many of our Corporate partners are multi-year and strategic. 2023/24 will see MyBnk continue to grow, raising £4m and beyond as we build our national team and deliver more expert-led financial education through our award-winning programmes.
The Corporate Partnerships Manager will lead several existing corporate partnerships to ensure that they deliver significant impact, engage staff, and raise awareness of the importance of quality financial education across the UK. Staff engagement and senior stakeholder management will be key deliverables in addition to fundraising product innovation and maintains MyBnk’s high partnership retention rate.

Working Options is an employability and life skills charity that has been helping young people to aim high and fulfil their potential since 2010. With an incredible Career Pathways Programme, delivered by industry volunteers to young people in schools, colleges, industry settings and online, they support them to identify and pursue their career options.
As the Head of Partnerships, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing fundraising strategy to grow income for the organisation, as it dramatically expands its work. This role will have a particular focus on building new long-term relationships with corporate partners and trust and foundations. Line managing the Events and Partnerships Coordinator and working closely with the engaged Chief Executive, this role will have support to deliver income generation strategy and build new and upon existing relationships.
To be successful as the Head of Partnerships, you will have proven experience in income generation and within corporate and trusts and foundations fundraising. This person will be the most senior fundraiser and will be confident in implementing and developing fundraising strategy to achieve income generation growth. You will be comfortable building longstanding relationships with both donors and internal stakeholders. This person will also be passionate about empowering young people in the UK to achieve their potential.
This role is a full-time permanent position that will be remote with occasional funded travel for meetings. The role also offers a salary of £50,000.

Reporting to the Head of Development, the Development Manager will take an active role in building a robust and sustainable major donor and corporate fundraising programme to help us expand our work across the UK over the coming years. They will work closely with the Head of Development to establish new and exciting partnerships with high-net-worth individuals and companies who align with our values, to grow income sustainably and guarantee the long-term stability of the organisation.

Job description
Major Donor Fundraising
- Proactively research, identify, and develop support from high-net-worth individuals.
- Manage a portfolio of philanthropy partners, building our income from major donors and developing a long-term major donor strategy.
- Plan and participate in engaging cultivation events, fostering strong donor relationships.
Corporate Fundraising
- Build and nurture strong partnerships with companies of all sizes, taking a proactive approach to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships nationally and locally in our choir cities.
- Securing gig sponsorship and Charity of the Year partnerships, both on a national and local level.
- Manage a portfolio of corporate partners of all sizes, building our income from businesses and developing a successful long-term strategy for securing financial, pro bono and in-kind support.

General
- Contribute to the annual fundraising strategy, alongside the Head of Development and CEO.

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will provide operational support to Tempo’s networks as required working closely with the Contract Manager. This entails close liaison with clients, account management of community organisations and local business partners, dealing efficiently and politely with queries, requests and issues as they arise and triaging to another team member where appropriate.
You are proactive and passionate about communities and about creating positive, lasting change that builds on the skills and assets of all. You will be a natural communicator, able to mobilise and enthuse partners to join our national network of organisations seeking to make a lasting impact for individuals and communities. Working alongside Tempo central support function you will design and run network and training events to ensure that Time Credits provide opportunities for people to both receive them in recognition of their time and encouragement for them to use Time Credits. You will manage relationships with our customers, ensuring that targets are met, and our impact is demonstrated. We are looking for someone who can travel into London regularly.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support to contract managers and programmes, including:
• Community development and mapping support as appropriate

Purpose of the role
To lead on Shine’s exciting and innovative Education Project supporting our young members to have the best opportunity to achieve their potential within education. Whilst raising also awareness within schools and education settings of Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus
Shine delivers support, information and advice to individuals and families whose lives have been affected by Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus, or associated conditions, across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Shine’s Corporate Plan (2022 to 2027) sets out seven ambitious strategic goals. This role will focus primarily on supporting the delivery of:
Goal 1: Enabling babies and children with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus to achieve their potential
Goal 2: Empowering young people with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus through knowledge, confidence and skills to manage their conditions and thrive
Both goals drive Shine’s ambitions to provide the foundations for improved health, equal access to educational opportunities, social and emotional outcomes for babies, children and young people living with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus, and associated conditions and they grow and develop, and journey through key stages of life.
Shine is uniquely placed to listen to the needs expressed by children/young people with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus, and their families, to offer early intervention strategies for these specific educational needs.
Project Delivery
Shine has a clear vision for the Education Project and a framework in place to take the project to the next phase.
We are looking for an exceptional team member who will be able to continue with the progress we have made over the last year and ensure delivery of Shine’s education project: supporting children and young people aged 2 to 25 years.
The project activities will include:
● Lead on the development and delivery of Shine’s education service for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus.
● Provide condition-specific information and advice relating to education to our members, parents and support groups
● Be the ‘knowledge expert’ for Shine staff for complex education referrals
● Maintain knowledge of changes in education legislation in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and how these relate to children/young people with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus
● Organise and facilitate Shine education-related member events (online and face to face)
● Develop and deliver presentations and training, raising greater awareness of Shine and Spina bifida/Hydrocephalus across the education sector
● Provide training to Shine’s Services and Health teams to upskill them around issues affecting our members in educational settings i.e. access to EHCPs, managing personal care in school, school transport etc
● Review existing and develop new education resources for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus in partnership with others where appropriate
● Working with other national charities, expand Shine’s educational offer to include co-morbidities affecting our members such as epilepsy, ASD and ADHD, learning disability etc, and how these conditions may impact on hydrocephalus and learning
● Actively promote Shine membership to prospective new members, parents, education professionals and education settings, whilst developing a clear understanding of parents’ increasing expectations of their child’s education, addressing learning, equal access, rights and inequality issues
● Review and further develop the recording of education information, statistics and records on Shine’s membership database
● Develop and maintain an education service evaluation process that captures the positive impact that Shine’s interventions have

Person Specification
Experience – essential
● Qualification in relevant discipline - teaching, psychology, special educational needs

You will have:
- A track record of working in a busy events team and effectively managing a small portfolio of events or projects.
- Experience in stewarding supporters to meet and surpass fundraising targets.
- Experience of using online fundraising platforms and digital tools.
- Experience of engaging a wide range of supporters, inspiring individuals, graduates, apprentices and corporate partners.
- Proven ability to manage your own workload, manage conflicting deadlines and deliver on income targets.

About the PKD Charity
Founded in 2000, we’re the first and only UK charity solely dedicated to improving the lives of an estimated 70,000 individuals and their families affected by polycystic kidney disease (PKD) in the UK.
PKD is a range of life-threatening inherited conditions that can cause kidney failure and affect other organs in the body such as the liver, brain, heart and bowels. Most people with PKD live with an uncertain prognosis, intermittent pain and infections, and then have to undergo life-saving dialysis or transplant in their 50s. - Secure new income from community audiences through referrals and introductions from existing supporters and sourcing of new funders within the community, including businesses, social groups, clubs and societies, religious groups and schools.

Individual Giving
- Manage the ongoing development and implementation of a regular giving strategy, to maximise unrestricted income, recruit new regular givers and reduce attrition rates.
- Work with the team to support the recently launched legacy fundraising and commemorative giving strategy, to maximise income.
Corporate and Major Donor
- Lead on the cultivation and stewardship of supporters, including the account management of partnerships with businesses.
- Work closely with the Chief Executive to develop relationships with major donors and support the development of a major donor programme.
- Ensure that the organisational CRM database usage is optimised to facilitate major donor fundraising.
- Work with other organisations to maximise joint fundraising opportunities.
General Responsibilities

This is a new role within the Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships team responsible for developing and leading our major donor programme. Myeloma UK is embarking on an ambitious five-year income generation strategy, which aims to increase income from £5m to £10m by 2028. This position will play a critical role, working alongside the Head of Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships to double the income we raise from major donors and family trusts by securing 5-6 figure grants for a range of innovative and life changing programmes – including patient and family support, research and advocacy. The major donor programme at Myeloma UK is established - we have a strong community of existing high-level supporters and have identified significant potential donors within our community - but these opportunities have not been fully leveraged in the past. Building on this foundation, and a major fundraising Gala planned for Spring 2024, there is a significant opportunity to transform this area of fundraising and this role will be instrumental in delivering a step change in our approach. The role requires outstanding relationship building skills, and the ability to work with high-net-worth individuals, to build credibility and trust and inspire them to support Myeloma UK.
About you
You will be an experienced major donor fundraiser with the ability to secure 5-6 figure gifts and lead others to do the same. You will be a strategic thinker, who is ready to lead and implement our major donor strategy alongside the Head of Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships.
We need someone with exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to nurture high value relationships and also work closely with senior colleagues, Trustees and other volunteers to build deep and long-lasting donor relationships. It will be crucial to work closely with colleagues across the charity to identify fundraising priorities, develop fundraising propositions and involve them in the cultivation and stewardship of key relationships.
