Villiers Park's vision is a future where every young person has the opportunity to realise their full potential. Yet for too many, this is limited by economic, social and personal barriers not of their making. As a national social mobility charity, we exist to change that. 

We deliver targeted programmes in areas of socio-economic deprivation and inequality across the country. We have five hubs, in Hastings and Bexhill, Swindon, Tyneside, Norwich and Cambridgeshire, and reach over 2,500 young people every year.

We recently developed our 2025-30 strategy, which aims to deepen our impact and double our reach over the next five years. A new fundraising strategy and campaign, Beyond Barriers, will be launched to secure the funds to help us realise our goals and make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of more young people nationwide.

The Fundraising Operations and Data Manager is a newly created role in our Fundraising team. They will be responsible for managing the charity’s CRM (Salesforce) and working with colleagues across the team, and wider organisation, to ensure the smooth operational delivery of fundraising processes and activities.

The Fundraising Operations and Data Manager will provide data and donor insights to help identify trends and opportunities that contribute to shaping fundraising campaigns and enhance our stewardship. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Be responsible for the overall management of the Salesforce CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data entry. This includes processing donations, pipeline updates and managing data imports, exports and migrations to support fundraising activities.
• Create reports and dashboards to enable accurate and timely reporting.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and automation, collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to ensure the smooth operation and optimal use of the CRM.
• Work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Finance Manager to ensure that all donations are thanked in a timely manner and recorded correctly.
• Manage pledge payment tracking and reminders and follow-up processes for multi-year donations. Ensure that data management is carried out in accordance with GDPR and PECR, Villiers Park’s data protection and privacy notices, and the Fundraising Code of Practice. 
• Act as the point person for all prospect research activities, liaising with third party providers and ensuring adherence to data protection requirements and best practice at all times.
• Oversee the recognition framework and stewardship of current supporters, managing a sustainable and creative stewardship programme that engages supporters with our work.
• Create templates and systems that enhance cultivation and stewardship. 
• Generate mailing lists for fundraising and communications, which respond to a range of motivations to give and engagement with the charity. 
• Oversee and deliver operational efficiencies in our fundraising processes, for example, with payment providers and events.
• Any other duties as reasonably requested.

Job Purpose

The role of the central charity is to facilitate member support and the successful operation of the charity, lead strategic projects that work to ensure the longevity and sustainability of the global movement and to support the delivery of impactful work in communities that meet our aims.

Like many membership organisations, we need to focus on turning membership decline into membership growth. This role evolved from and is an integral part of the “Reimagining MU” project, where we looked at opportunities to secure the future of the movement.

The post holder will work directly with members and across the charity leading campaigns and programmes that help and support the communities in which we serve, drive membership growth, increase valued engagement and income opportunities, promote Mothers’ Union within the Anglican Church, and build effective relationships with external partners and organisations.

This role will lead the implementation of a suite of existing and new Britain and Ireland programmes which include domestic abuse, social justice, and family issues. Also, to look at new programmes and to manage continual programme reviews. These Mothers’ Union National Programmes are being adopted as best practice frameworks for successful community outreach projects by members in the communities in which we serve. It is envisioned that in resourcing and standardising existing work, these robust programmes will serve as vehicles for volunteer and member recruitment in dioceses in Britain and Ireland and be able to secure strategic partners and external funders to support our work.

Main responsibilities

Programme Development, Implementation and Review – Britain and Ireland

1. Work with the Director of Membership on the continued development, implementation and review of a member-informed national suite of Mothers’ Union programmes.

2. Research, review and develop new member resources, packs, and policies and manage access.

3. Work with the wider Membership team on the design, implementation, and delivery of new membership growth models.

4. Work with the Communications team on campaigns and programme branding and promotion.

5. Procure and manage relationships with programme strategic partners and funders.

Membership Engagement and Support

1. Manage relevant Communities of Interest (representative membership groups) for the different programmes.

2. Contribute campaign materials, articles, written printed and web content as required.

3. Support the membership by overseeing programme enquiries, and delivering resources, communications, webinars, podcasts, and events as required.

4. Working with the Membership Engagement Manager to ensure membership growth is reflected in the programme frameworks as an intended outcome.

5. Working with the Director of Membership and the wider membership team to deliver annual and regional events and conferences including the Annual Gathering, Provincial meetings, networking, and celebratory events.

General 

1. To manage existing national programmes; and to successfully framework and resource new MU campaigns and community outreach work into standardised, resourced and branded national programmes that are adopted and utilised by members and attract strategic partners to enhance successful outputs and increased income for the charity.
2. To work across the charity on supporting the incorporation and delivery of membership and income growth targets and initiatives in the outputs of relevant areas of work.
3. To produce and provide reports and resources as required for the Director of Membership.
4. To undertake any other duties as requested by the Head of Membership.

Purpose of the Role

Faith underpins all our work and, in this key role the post holder will support the Christian journey by providing resources for personal prayer, spiritual guidance, corporate worship, religious education, and contribute to and participate in member and central charity led events and worship.

This role will explore and research issues about the Christian faith that are relevant to Mothers’ Union, keep the rest of the Charity up to date on issues in the Anglican communion and wider church – and input into the design of MU strategic aims, and work collaboratively with organisations externally on developing resources and implementing faith-based initiatives.

This role will also be responsible for managing Mothers’ Union’s Church-based membership and our Faith and Diocesan Chaplains member-based forums.

However, the focus for this role will be the proactive outreach, development, and maintenance of faith related relationships primarily in Britain and Ireland. This includes creating and managing high-level networks of Christian influencers, Bishops and the wider clergy, and key faith-based organisations to improve the profile, understanding and integration of Mothers' Union within the Anglican communion and ecumenically and to grow our reach, membership numbers, and influence.

A key remit of the Faith & Church Engagement Manager post will be to participate and contribute to our faith-based discussions and resources within Mothers’ Union. For this reason, the post holder must be a practicing Christian. (Occupational requirement Equality Act 2010).

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Faith management and resources

1. To lead on the development of faith resources within Mothers’ Union (MU) and lead the strategic planning of all faith initiatives, theological rationales for Mothers’ Union specific initiatives and the overall mission.

2. To ensure that MU employees understand as part of the induction process and throughout their employment, how faith guides the work and relationships of MU.

3. Working with the Director of Membership, contribute to the strategic plan for all faith initiatives and clergy and church relations within Mothers’ Union.

4. To lead MU’s faith-based forums, to work where needed with the Worldwide Board and our Central Chaplain.

5. To facilitate theological underpinning to inform our work by exploring, researching, and gathering relevant data from various sources to keep abreast of new developments and initiatives.

6. To generate faith and church-based content for our website, magazine and newsletters and deliver MU’s prayer diary and oversea Midday Prayers.

7. To work with Mothers’ Union Enterprises on resources and products that have a faith dimension or spiritual content.

8. To work with our Worldwide President or designated member of the Worldwide Board to deliver faith and worship materials for Board and Worldwide Council meetings.

9. To receive, monitor and review MU’s worldwide resources to encourage and develop the contribution these make to the distinctive faith work of Mothers’ Union.

10. To maintain and develop all Faith Resources, identifying and developing new and uniquely MU resources to be added and archiving when required dated resources.

Membership Support – Britain and Ireland

1. To produce creative and accessible prayer and worship resources for use within our membership and more widely.

2. To identify the needs of members at every level for up-to-date information and resources on theology, faith, spirituality, worship/liturgy, Christian ethics and pastoral issues for group or individual use, and to commission a range of resources to meet those needs.

3. To build and manage external partnerships, within the Church and with other faith centred organisations, developing and promoting our work with these organisations.

4. Working closely with the Director of Membership and wider Membership team, to plan and lead faith aspects at conferences and meetings as requested.

5. To help design and implement projects and campaigns that provide an active engagement for our members, raise the public profile of Mothers’ Union, contribute to membership growth strategies and further the mission to promote the Christian faith and the wellbeing of families.

6. Work with the wider membership team on the design, implementation, and delivery of new membership growth models and manage existing membership models including Church-based Membership.

Work Location

This role will be based at our Head Office in Central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (Pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in Central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays.

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Health Community Engagement Manager to lead an ambitious new programme of community engagement across Birmingham and Solihull. You will play a central role in ensuring that the voices of local people, especially those most affected by health inequalities, are heard and acted upon.

As the Health Community Engagement Manager, you will lead the delivery of a wide-ranging engagement programme that connects health priorities with community insight and experience.

You will oversee ICB Community Panels, coordinate a small-grants scheme to fund VCFSE-led engagement, and support local organisations to evaluate and share their learning. You will work closely with BVSC Research, the NHS Communications and Engagement teams, and a wide range of local authority and community partners to ensure that engagement activity is coherent, inclusive and impactful.

This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You will design and manage processes that make it easier for smaller, community-led and faith-based organisations to get involved in shaping health services. You will ensure that the themes emerging from community discussions are reported clearly and used to inform system strategy and policy. You will also play an active role in strengthening networks such as the Birch Network and the CHERP platform, supporting the sharing of good practice in engagement, research and policy development.

To succeed in this role, you will bring significant experience of community engagement within health or related fields, together with a deep understanding of the VCFSE sector in Birmingham and Solihull. You will be an excellent communicator, capable of working confidently with senior leaders as well as with grassroots community groups.

You will be comfortable leading projects, managing budgets and supporting others, while remaining flexible and solution-focused in a fast-moving environment. Above all, you will be motivated by a commitment to equity, inclusion and meaningful community engagement and involvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of residuary, specific, and reversionary legacy cases from initiation to completion, optimising income while upholding all legal, ethical, and organisational standards.

Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated Corporate Engagement Manager to implement and develop our programme on the Corporate Protein Transition in the UK (70%), as well as to support this work internationally (30%). This critical role will focus on accelerating the protein transition by advocating for more ambitious action from supermarkets, foodservice and government.

You will be responsible for cultivating relationships with civil society partners, food companies and policymakers, positioning ProVeg as a leading organisation and trusted partner on healthy, sustainable diets. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the UK’s corporate and civil society landscape around sustainable food systems, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of influencing decision-makers.

Responsibilities

UK (70%)

• In collaboration with ProVeg UK leadership, lead the implementation of the Corporate Protein Transition Programme in the UK, to increase retailer and foodservice companies’ ambitions regarding the protein transition. 
• Encourage companies to adopt protein split target-setting and promote best practices for increasing the share of plant-based sales.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with NGOs, major food retailers, foodservice companies, government institutions, and policymakers.
• Monitor and analyse public opinion, consumer trends, and scientific developments related to plant-based diets to inform team strategies.
• Support the monitoring of national legislative developments related to sustainability and food systems; draft policy briefs and advocacy materials to influence decisions on the protein transition.
• Work closely with the UK Communications Manager to develop impactful strategic communication plans to drive public and stakeholder engagement.
• Support with representation of ProVeg at national B2B conferences, food systems roundtables, and other strategic events.
• Organise and facilitate stakeholder engagement initiatives, including roundtables and webinars.
• Identify relevant UK funding opportunities and support the development of funding proposals led by ProVeg International.
   

International (30%)

• Support the international team in rolling out foodservice strategy as part of the Corporate Protein Transition programme, in collaboration with country leads. 
• Support the alignment of a European civil society coalition around a single shared protein diversification ask of major food companies.
• Support the design, procurement, delivery and dissemination of influential research and reports that will support corporate protein diversification at European level. 
• Work closely with the International Senior Corporate Engagement Manager to support the implementation of the Corporate Protein Transition programme across ProVeg countries.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in corporate affairs, policy, or advocacy, ideally in the fields of food systems, public health, or sustainability.
• Experience in building relationships and driving change, for example with government agencies, supermarket executives, NGOs, or thought leaders.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong project management and organisational skills with an eye for detail.
• Ability to synthesise complex data and policy insights into compelling strategies and messaging.
• Self-motivated, proactive and collaborative team player.

About Waves

Demos is leading the largest trial of digital democracy in Britain. 

Trust in politics and politicians is in crisis. Only 24% of people trust politicians to make decisions in the best interests of the country. Polarisation is increasing. At the same time, people want to be involved in the public policy decisions that affect them. 

Waves is a €1 million project trialling new technology in local democracy, launched to bring people together to tackle contentious local issues and strengthen trust in local government. Thousands of local people will have the opportunity to shape local government policy on an issue affecting their area.

New AI-powered technology is intended to make it easier, cheaper and quicker for participants to have their say, identify areas of consensus, discuss difficult issues and work through trade-offs together. 

We are working in partnership with two trailblazing councils who are both embracing the opportunity to put the public at the heart of their policy making. The trial will begin in the London Borough of Camden to co-develop an approach to adult social care. The trial will then move on to South Staffordshire District Council as they develop an inclusive engagement process to prepare for their next local plan. The partners will also support a further 25 councils to observe and learn from the process so that they too can use the tools in the future.

About the role 

We are looking for an experienced programme manager who can steer Waves from now until it completes in December 2026. 

You would be joining the programme at a pivotal time as we move from the ‘set-up’ and ‘co-design’ phases of the first 6-months, to the start of the first of our two trials running sequentially over the next 11 months, before moving to a final ‘impact phase’ of dissemination of our toolkits, technology and learning in the final 6 months.

Programme management of Waves means ensuring that the whole project stays on track – on time and on budget – throughout its delivery. There are 5 partners, a number of suppliers and many moving parts, so it is critical that we find someone who can work across the whole programme, anticipating who needs to do what and by when, and ensuring that the programme is delivered successfully so we can draw learnings from it to share widely across the local government, democracy, and tech sectors. 

It is worth bearing in mind that Waves is a ‘test and learn’ trial of a new deliberative democratic process using existing and new technology. Therefore, the team is committed to learning from the project and being comfortable with the uncertainty of not knowing exactly what the outcomes are going to be. 

What you'll need to be sucessful

The types of knowledge, skills and experience we are looking for are below. We welcome a range of applications which include at least some of these attributes.

• Demonstrable experience managing an equivalent programme in terms of complexity, scale and partners with a solid understanding of project management methods.
• Understanding and commitment to the mission of the programme – motivated to tackle issues of low trust in democracy among UK citizens with digital democratic platforms and deliberative processes a crucial part of the solution.
• Team management, interpersonal and communication skills – ability to lead and motivate a team with diverse skills and priorities to deliver a programme of great complexity and uncertainty, including fostering collaboration and trust, managing conflicts, maintaining transparency and empowering different partners to perform effectively.
• Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills – the ability to align activities with overall programme objectives, making informed decisions based on programme lead and partner inputs and, where possible, data and analysis, and drive the programme towards successful outcomes. 
• Ability to identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies and manage issues that may arise during the programme lifecycle – ideally in an innovation context, one working with diverse partners with different ways of working or when using technology/ conducting trials with the public.
• An interest in, and comfort working with, innovative technologies that utilise AI and collect data, as well as an understanding of the risks and sensitivities surrounding the use of AI, among the public and within the public sector.
• Experience of owning and managing a large-scale budget, conducting calculations when there are changes from the plan, and maintaining clear and robust tracking of expenditure to ensure financial accountability.
• Demonstrable ability to adapt to changing circumstances, solve problems creatively and maintain momentum and energy during challenging situations.
• Highly collaborative, with a commitment to teamwork and inclusivity.

Senior Research and Development Manager - Research and Evidence
Contract: Fixed term for 24 months (with potential to extend/make perm subject to funding)
Hours: Full Time 35 hours / 1.0 FTE (open to part-time 0.8 FTE)
Salary: £51,349 per annum or £55,512 per annum if based in London
Location: London Fields / Belfast, Northern Ireland / Newton Abbot, Devon / Sheffield / Homebased within the UK (with travel to the office when required)

About the Role

The Senior Research and Development Manager will play an important role in managing NCB’s research and evidence work, supporting our impact and growth and working across teams in a matrix environment. The post holder will be joining the research team at an exciting time, with significant growth in recent years, particularly in the area of evidence synthesis methodologies.

This role requires a strong background in managing and delivering evidence synthesis research projects, including systematic reviews, meta-analysis, qualitative synthesis, and mixed-methods approaches. It involves overseeing key research contracts, providing hands-on project management, ensuring methodological rigour, and delivering high-quality outputs.

The research team at NCB works on several influential projects using a range of research methods and spanning areas including youth justice, social care, early childhood development and education.
