About the role

• Create high-quality, engaging and accessible content across multiple formats, including video, social media, email, web and other campaign assets, ensuring alignment to NCT’s brand, tone of voice and messaging.
• Actively monitoring social channels, media, trends and the external environment to identify relevant conversations, risks and opportunities for NCT.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across Marketing, Communications and Fundraising & Strategic Partnerships to ensure content supports the objectives of integrated campaigns.
• Managing own workload effectively within the Content Studio, balancing deadlines and planned vs reactive activity.

• You’ll have experience creating engaging and creative content across multiple digital and physical formats.  
• You’ll have a strong understanding of brand and tone of voice, and how to apply these consistently.  
• You’ll have solid understanding of digital marketing platforms and tools including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Canva etc.
• You’re proactive, organised and motivated to use marketing to drive growth and change brand perceptions.

We are seeking an organised, proactive, and resourceful Administration and Facilities Officer to support the Northern Ireland Director in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office . The role will ensure:

• The efficient operations and facilities co-ordination of our Northern Ireland (NI) office
• Provide administrative support to the NI Director
• Facilities and admin support to the NI retail function when required

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering a collaborative and well-organised office environment, enabling the Concern NI team to effectively develop and grow as a regional team.

About You: 

ESSENTIAL

Experience & Knowledge

• Experience in financial administration tasks (e.g., petty cash, expense processing, purchase orders).
• Familiarity with health & safety regulations and compliance (e.g., risk assessments, fire safety, first aid).
• Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders, such as suppliers, landlords, fundraising teams, and senior management.
• Experience in a supporter care, customer service, or donor relations role, handling inquiries professionally.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written), with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external contacts, working as a team and contributing your ideas
• Strong administration skills and attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping, document preparation, and financial processing.
• Confident in IT and picking up new systems
• Good working knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to work with CRM/databases (e.g., Dynamics 365 or similar).
• Ability to problem-solve and improve processes to enhance efficiency in office operations.
• Ability to multi task and handle a varied role
• Good time management, self-motivated and ability to meet deadlines

Job Location: Belfast (Hybrid)

This post is hybrid with Mon-Thurs office based and Friday’s working from home. This is a great opportunity to be part of a vibrant team focused on transforming the lives of people living in extreme poverty.

Conditions of Appointment: 

Salary Band: GB4

Salary: £24,060–£26,732.80 per annum (based on 28 hours per week).

Full‑time equivalent: £30,075–£33,416 per annum (35 hours per week).

New employees will normally start at the minimum of the pay band, with scope for progression over time.

This is a permanent, part-time post based on 4 days working week (28 hours per week - 0.8fte). The normal full-time working week is 35 hours.

The successful post holder will be required to complete a Basic AccessNI check and sign a criminal records self-declaration form.

• Lead and oversee Bowel Cancer UK’s paid advertising programme, ensuring activity is strategic, insight‑driven and aligned with organisational goals.
• Work collaboratively with teams across the charity to raise awareness of our cause, drive supporter acquisition and increase income.
• Manage paid media campaigns end‑to‑end, from scoping and briefing through to execution, reporting and continuous improvement.

• We are seeking an experienced Interim Events Fundraising Officer to provide additional support to our friendly and passionate Events Fundraising team over the next 12 months.

• The role will involve delivering a range of UK‑wide challenge events from our established events portfolio.

• You will be passionate about events fundraising and enjoy working as part of a busy, collaborative team.

• The role sits within the Events team in the Mass Supporter Giving department, which generates over £1.3 million in income.

• The Interim Events Fundraising Officer will play a key role in our plans to grow and develop this area of fundraising.

Colorectal Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist

Job Summary for Colorectal Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist

In our Services team we aim to deliver clear and accessible support offer for people affected by a bowel cancer diagnosis through a clinically focused ‘front door’ of services. The post holder will work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead to deliver a strategy which will extend our reach to bowel cancer patients and establish referral routes from the NHS into our services.

As our Clinical Nurse Specialist you will work on the Charities Ask the Nurse Service alongside other specialist nurses. This is our service for patients to ask questions or concerns about bowel cancer. You will be responsible answering queries from those affected by bowel cancer and managing and developing the service.

You will work closely with the Clinical Lead to ensure Bowel Cancer UK’s clinical focus meets the needs of those affected by bowel cancer and is up to date. You will also provide expert clinical advice, with guidance of the Clinical Lead, across all areas of Bowel Cancer UK - including health professional education, policy, communications and fundraising equipping them with timely health system and clinical information.

Main responsibilities

• Support the Clinical Lead on, development, delivery and effective implementation of our core clinical (nurse led) services offer (Ask The Nurse service).
• Support the Clinical Lead on ensuring sound clinical governance across our clinical services.
• Manage our engagement and support offer to healthcare professionals to develop our networks and establish referral pathways from the NHS into our services.
• Provide expert clinical advice and opinion to programmes across the charity as required including input into health information content, media enquiries and clinical queries from patients.
• Represent Bowel Cancer UK externally on appropriate panels, advisory groups, at events and in the media.
• Use learning, knowledge and evidence from programmes of work across the charity and the sector to inform continuous improvement in the development of clinical services.
• Work with the Clinical Lead on development and delivery of education programmes for primary and secondary care at conferences and bespoke education events.
• Work with the Clinical Lead to ensure a collegiate approach to service delivery across our services and support offer.
• Assist in maintaining high-quality data ensuring information is gathered and recorded in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation, ICO and Bowel Cancer UK Data protection policy.
