The Finance Coordinator is a key role within our Operations Team, delivering high-quality financial administration to the organisation. The successful candidate will be the main point of contact for the day-to-day running of MDXSU’s finances. Responsibilities of the role will include supporting staff and students with the finance processes, data entry, resolving queries from suppliers, customers, staff and student groups to issuing purchases orders, posting invoices onto Sage 50 and preparing fortnightly payment runs.
We are seeking a highly-organised, approachable and adaptable individual, with initiative, a positive mind set and can-do attitude. As a self-starter you will be comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail is essential.
The role would suit someone who is detail-oriented with excellent communication skills and experience using excel. Our staff team and student population are diverse and we strongly encourage applicants from all communities. We are looking for someone passionate about working with and for students and supporting MDXSU’s work as a student’s Union and whose values align with our own. Being able to work on short notice would be preferable.
1. Coordinate the day to day finance function within MDXSU.
2. Support the Head of Operations, with month end close, the annual audit process and to regularly review the finance processes.
3. Contribute towards the Operations team’s strategic and operational planning.
