Cambridge Women’s Resources Centre (CWRC) is looking for a dynamic, compassionate, and forward-thinking Centre Manager to head up our newly reopened Peterborough Women’s Centre, which reopened its doors in March 2025 following renovations. 

This is an exciting opportunity to build a trauma-informed, vibrant women’s service in an area facing significant deprivation, including women who have been involved in the criminal justice system. As Centre Manager, you will lead the development of the centre’s services and partnerships, directly contributing to improved health, wellbeing and rehabilitation of women in Peterborough.

We will be offering life skills training to all residents and ongoing support.

CHRISTIAN HOUSE MANAGER

You will have experience in leading a team to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment.

You will be highly motivated and passionate about the rehabilitation of women leaving prison.

You will be committed to supporting vulnerable women, enabling them to build on their existing strengths to make positive changes in their lives.

You will have overall responsibility for the continuous improvement and consistency of the day-to-day delivery of the project and be responsible for financial planning and have budgetary responsibilities.

You will help to ensure that Grace House becomes a centre of excellence and help set a positive example of the rehabilitation of prison leavers

You will maintain and further the excellent reputation we currently have with our referral prisons to ensure a constant flow of residents, reducing the likelihood of voids.

You will liaise with venue staff where our #SheMatters community courses are run, overseeing a timetable of courses and ensure that all course provision meets the high standards set by ID Grace House UK.

You will have personal experience of running courses with vulnerable and sometimes chaotic women.  The Course Facilitators make up part of the Grace House Team.

You will be responsible for and have experience of fundraising and be willing to work alongside the Imago Dei staff team to ensure the project is financially stable long term. 

You will be willing to undertake on call duties out-of-hours.

KEY TASKS AND DUTIES:

• Ability to motivate, coach and manage the performance of the Grace House Team. To coach the Team on continuous personal development (CPD) and to undertake any qualifications relevant to their role; 

• Ensure robust plans are created in partnership with residents, to support their progression and ensuring their voices are heard;

• Work with the residents of Grace House to help them address habits/choices made which brought them to offend: to assist them in regaining self-esteem, well-being and independence;

• Support the women in every aspect of adjusting to life out of prison, giving both practical and emotional help, and support women as they seek work and permanent housing;

• Lead by example to champion Grace House values, be respectful and compassionate. Manage any behaviour actioned by the Team that does not reflect the values of Grace House and train on the same.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

• Experience of supporting vulnerable women with mental health, substance misuse, domestic violence, challenging behaviours, offending behaviour
• Have CTC Prison Clearance or be willing to complete the vetting and checks for this
• A practicing Christian*
• Experience of managing a team
• Experience of working in the challenging environment of a prison setting or similar
• Experience of facilitating courses with women presenting challenging behaviours.

Desirable 

• Experience with supporting prison leavers.

Overall purpose of the role

The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional communications to enhance Orbis UK's profile in both the UK and the Middle East. The position is responsible for implementing strategic plans for UK and Middle East audiences, while supporting the Media and PR Manager in boosting Orbis UK's brand presence. The role also includes leading reputation and crisis management responses and plans.

The Media and PR Manager reports directly to this position, and together, they will collaborate to deliver effective communications plans. There will also be opportunities to work with the wider Orbis UK communications team on cross-departmental campaigns, appeals, and events, including VIP visits and integrated marketing campaigns.

This role encompasses communications planning, media relations, stakeholder management, reputation management, copywriting, and at times, event coordination. It requires strong relationship-building skills and the ability to manage projects across different teams and countries. The role is responsible for three key areas of work:

i) Overseeing the delivery of the media and PR strategy to increase brand awareness of Orbis within the UK and the Middle East through pitching and placement of high-quality media coverage, proactive PR initiatives and reactive press office opportunities within a range of publications that align with our target audiences and partnerships. This will include managing the Media and PR Manager, working with key stakeholders such as the Royal Press Office and key funding and programme partners, and supporting delivery of Orbis UK integrated marketing campaigns

The Role

The Finance Manager is a key member of the Finance Office Team and is responsible for all areas of financial accounting, audit, treasury, tax, payroll and endowment management for the College, its trading subsidiaries, and Trusts.

The Finance Office is responsible for delivering best practice accounting so the College is able to make decisions based on accurate and timely information. This role is pivotal in ensuring the Finance Office Team is supported and managed through the delivery of the key responsibilities.

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Fundraising Manager to join us on a part-time or full-time basis (minimum 3 days per week). This role will lead and manage our small fundraising team and drive income generation across a range of activities. This is a key role responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of our fundraising strategy, ensuring we achieve our financial targets and can continue to provide essential support to survivors.

The Fundraising Manager will work closely with the CEO, Business Development Officer, Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser, and the wider team, to implement both strategic and operational elements of our fundraising efforts. This is an ongoing, part-time contract supporting the financial operations of a small, ambitious arts organisation working at the intersection of art, technology and digital culture.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of charity finance, skilled in Xero, bookkeeping, payroll, reporting, audit preparation, HMRC filings and support with funding reports. You may be an individual already set up for freelance work, or a firm used to providing finance support to charities or arts organisations. You’ll work closely with the Chief Executive and liaise with trustees and external auditors as needed.

Research Programme Manager

Our client mission is to provide sustainable funding of medical research into rheumatic and related musculoskeletal, immunological, and inflammatory diseases. With a focus on unmet needs, the trust’s longer-term objective is to achieve a meaningful impact in the development of disease treatments and preventative approaches for these debilitating conditions across the life course. The trust has advanced this strategic vision through the support of the world-class research undertaken at the University of Oxford. The trust’s funding also extends nationwide across thirteen UK universities where they support talented scientists at every stage in their career, from doctoral students to senior research leaders. The trust’s investment in research is not purely financial; its funding relationships are built on open, ongoing dialogue with current grant recipients, as well as future recipients around their ideas and scientific approach. There is a strong requirement for building and sustaining relationships with external stakeholders, including research institutions, funders and the trust’s constituency of scientists.

We are pleased to be working with the the trust to recruit a new Research & Grants Programme Manager to join its small and very focused team. Working in a hybrid manner with up to two days in offices in Hammersmith, London, and the remainder working remotely from home.

The role:

Working closely with the CEO, this pivotal role will oversee the entire grant-making processes and funding activities of the trust, in addition to driving the intellectual rigor of the research work of its grantees, in line with the core charitable objectives of the trust. This will involve managing all aspects of pre and post-award research management, reporting writing, grant finance management and governance, co-ordination of the trust’s scientific committees and shaping external scientific communications to supporters and other stakeholders.

A central element of the role will be to manage the trust’s research funding initiatives, nurturing existing relationships with a broad network of high-level panels of experts and peer reviewers, as well as a wide range of stakeholders and past and present grantees. Working closely with the CEO, this person will maintain an expansive and knowledgeable view of the research landscape, understanding the important changes and influences relevant to the work of the trust. Leading on the Trust’s communications by producing social media and website content in addition to external reporting, this role will also support and manage its annual conference.
 
The person:

The successful candidate will have substantial and demonstrable experience of high-level research management in combination with an extensive grants-management and funding process management background. Educated ideally to PhD level in a scientific subject, or the equivalent in high-level research-led programme management experience, this person will be ambitious with excellent attention to detail and an intellectually curious and rigorous approach. A background in science based, research led, grant-making will be important as well as having a systematic and process driven approach. This experience would ideally have been gained in the charity sector or the higher education or grant-making sectors.

Experience of impact measurement, grants report writing and preparing content for communications and social media will be important, in addition to having an understanding of scientific research across the UK and overseas. This person will be highly numerate, organized and methodical in their approach and will see this role as a fantastic opportunity to bring creative ideas and experience to the table, in order to make a real and lasting difference in the research led field of musculoskeletal and related inflammatory diseases in the UK and overseas.

We’re seeking a dedicated Quality and Performance Manager to join our team at Lister House, our care home in Ripon. In this key role, you’ll take the lead on audits, data analysis, quality initiatives, and policy implementation to ensure we continue to deliver the highest standard of care. Working alongside the Senior Care Management team and the Quality and Care Standards team, you’ll help drive continuous improvement, share best practices, and support quality enhancements across other RBL care homes.

This role offers 37.5 hours per week, working 5 shifts out of 7 days. 8:30am to 5:00pm. Offering a salary between £45,793 to £49,506 per annum.

Key responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver a programme of audits, ensuring action plans are implemented and monitored. Communicate findings with Registered Managers, Department Leads, and the Senior Care Management team to drive service improvements.
- Identify trends, lessons learnt and support the development of robust quality strategies.
- Work closely with clinical colleagues to implement best practice guidance and evaluate its impact. Lead and support quality improvement projects within the care home.
- Support audits at other RBL care homes, collaborating with other Quality and Performance Managers to align standards and share learning.
- Lead on HR processes and manage the Practice Development Facilitator
