Around 80% of school participants receive charitable bursary funding, ensuring that financial barriers never prevent young people from accessing these life-changing experiences. The Outward Bound Trust is now delivering its 2030 Strategy, which sets out an ambitious plan to grow reach, strengthen partnerships, and invest in its six heritage outdoor centres. 

Reporting to the CEO, you’ll directly manage four experienced team heads and oversee a high-performing team of 18 who generate bursary, unrestricted, and capital income. The role sits on the Senior Management Team, working closely with colleagues across the charity to connect fundraising with programme delivery, marketing, and business development, ensuring shared priorities and greater collective impact. You’ll also play a key role in the Fundraising and Marcomms Steering Group, ensuring effective working between fundraising and external engagement.

This is a broad, strategic role combining leadership, direction, and hands-on relationship management at one of the UK’s most respected youth charities. You’ll work alongside a supportive CEO and senior leadership team, lead an experienced and capable department, and shape a fundraising strategy that will help thousands of young people access the power of outdoor learning and adventure.

As Director of Fundraising, you will:

• Lead and support a multi-disciplinary fundraising function spanning major donors, corporate partnerships, legacies, trusts and foundations, and events
• Deliver growth across bursary, unrestricted, and capital income, ensuring fundraising priorities align with organisational strategy and long-term sustainability
• Develop and implement capital fundraising plans, supporting the upgrade of existing outdoor centres and laying the groundwork for a potential new site acquisition
• Review and refine OBT’s approach to new business and innovation, identifying where to invest, consolidate, or reshape activity to maximise return
• Build and steward high-value relationships, personally managing key donors, corporate partners, and foundations capable of transformational giving

• Substantial senior-level fundraising experience with demonstrable success in leading multistream teams

About The Hygiene Bank  

Hygiene poverty is not being able to afford many of the everyday hygiene and personal grooming products most of us take for granted. The reality of low income is that it restricts people’s options, leaving us caught between being able to heat our homes, pay the rent, eat, or be clean.  It is washing hair, bodies, faces and clothes in the same cheap washing-up liquid used for the dishes. It is not being able to replace a toothbrush when needed or sharing a toothbrush because one each just isn't an option. It is having to choose between shaving foam and razors or the transport fare to a job interview.  

Hygiene Poverty is the hidden crisis facing the UK. In 2024, The Hygiene Bank published a research report into the incidence and impact of hygiene poverty. It found that over 4.2m adults in the UK are affected by hygiene poverty, that is an additional 1.1m people into hygiene poverty since 2022 - the equivalent of the population of Birmingham.   

Hygiene poverty is not only on the rise, it’ is also undermining the nation’s health: 50% of those affected by hygiene poverty say that it is causing them anxiety or depression. 92% of people affected report that it limits their social interactions with friends and family. 54% of those affected have not gone to the dentist in the last 12 months. But most importantly, it’s putting people in impossible situations. A staggering 69% of adults experiencing hygiene poverty are having to make the difficult decision between paying for essential needs like food and bills or purchasing basic toiletries. 65% of parents affected by hygiene poverty have had to choose between buying hygiene products for themselves or their children.  

At The Hygiene Bank, we believe that everyone deserves to feel clean. That is why our network of projects exists – to give people access to the basics they need.  

About the role  

Reporting into the Operations Manager, this role will be part of the Operations Team and will work closely with the Partnership Managers who support our projects and volunteers on a day-to-day basis. You will provide exceptional service to the volunteer journey and experience, including recruitment, training and engagement.  

Responsibilities (with estimate % of time in role) 

• Recruitment 20%: (Year 1 priority) Design and implement compelling volunteer recruitment campaigns at a national level and for specific areas of the UK - in line with the organisational strategy. 

• Virtual Volunteering 5%: Develop our offer for volunteers to bring their skills, experience and time to the charity outside our local community and project structures, for example coordinating volunteers who can support local projects with social media, or with fundraising. 

• Onboarding 10%: Design and run the volunteer onboarding process, ensuring that all of our volunteers have the tools they need to be successful  

• Governance 10%: (Year 1 priority) Administrate and coordinate the Volunteer Council, a new Committee designed to centre volunteer voice in the charity’s governance  

• Consultation 10%: Further develop the charity’s volunteer survey and create ongoing opportunities for genuine feedback and consultation from our volunteer community to amplify their lived experience 

• Training 20%: (Year 1 priority) Identify areas for training, source and develop these, providing exciting and effective opportunities for our volunteers to develop their skills, practice and impact

The role is remote based, but with bi-monthly full organisation team days in London. In addition, we have approximately 4 Operations Team meetings in London or other central UK location. Experience  

You will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the following:  

• Experience of supporting the volunteer journey, delivering work on the planning, recruitment, induction and engagement of volunteers across a dispersed geography. 

• Volunteer engagement, with a particular emphasis on consulting and convening diverse groups of people in the service of progressing a cause or project  

• Producing high quality written tools and resources, and/or training materials for volunteers based across the UK

• Experience of designing and delivering recognition activities over Volunteers’ Week and other milestones in the volunteer journey

• Team leadership & mentorship: Line-manage two Project Managers, fostering a supportive environment and prioritizing their development. Provide direct mentorship to a designated Project Manager as part of Magic Me's internal succession plan for the SPM role.

Refugee Week is seeking a freelance Social Media Manager to lead the development and delivery of our social media presence in the lead-up to and during Refugee Week 2026. Working closely with the Refugee Week team, you will help shape and tell the story of Refugee Week over the year - inspiring people to take part, building our digital profile, and growing our online community.

We are looking for an experienced data analyst to help us make the best possible use of our supporter data, to continue to grow income and engagement.  At its heart, this role is about uncovering the trends, patterns and stories behind the numbers, and providing clear, engaging reports and dashboards: generating real understanding to drive strategic direction.  The role is based in our newly formed Insight, Research, Innovation and Supporter Data team, bringing together professionals across these functions to drive impactful strategies and innovation.  It is a job-share post, working with another part-time analyst. 

About you

As well as being a whiz with numbers, analytical tools and coding (including SQL), you must be a good collaborator who can work well with stakeholders and other analysts across different fields to bring together the ‘big picture’ and add value. 

You must have experience working with CRM systems and developing and interrogating PowerBI reports and dashboards for different contexts.  

You need to be objective and clear-headed in a complex data environment; you figure out and focus on what really matters, going beyond headline reporting to uncover deeper insights and choosing the most effective methods to report on those insights to a range of audiences. 

You are inquisitive and curious, keeping an eye on improvements and innovations, and being proactive in making the right changes happen.  You are data and evidence-centric, with an appreciation of how quantitative and qualitative methods work alongside each other.  Ideally, you also have experience working in fundraising, supporter engagement, or customer experience.

About the Youth Endowment Fund

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.

Last year, 244 people in England and Wales tragically died after being assaulted with a knife. Of these, 32 were children. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them. Even when violence doesn’t strike directly, we know that the fear of violence has a terrible effect on children’s lives.

The Youth Endowment Fund exists to try and permanently change things. To succeed, we must deeply understand how to reduce the violence that affects young people. We then have to make this information highly relevant and accessible to the people making decisions for vulnerable young people. In practice, this means we need to find out what works and what doesn’t through high quality qualitative and quantitative research into children’s lives. We then must convert this into really accessible content on what works, how delivery organisations (like schools, councils, police forces and more) can change what they do, how the systems have to change. We then need to work with and inspire those making decisions. Together, we believe we can change things permanently for children.

At the heart of this work is our new Area Leaders Programme. It provides support to local councils on what they can do in their towns and cities to change things. To work, the sessions need to be brilliantly designed with great materials and really well delivered. This is where you come in.

About the Area Leaders Programme

The Area Leaders Programme (ALP) brings together local partnerships in a town or a city to better protect children from being drawn into violence. These partnerships often include the police, youth justice services, children’s services, health, education, youth and community organisations.

We aim to do this by supporting areas to develop the five Ps of violence prevention:

• Partnerships: Build strong, accountable partnerships with clear roles, governance, and measurable goals.
• Profile: Understand the local drivers, context, and patterns of serious violence.
• People: Identify the children most at risk and ensure they get the right support at the right time.
• Places: Pinpoint high-risk locations and take action to make them safer.
• Practice: Share and apply best practice consistently across all key agencies.

About the role

As Senior Designer and Facilitator, you’ll play a vital role in shaping how ALP supports local partnerships. You’ll help turn evidence into practical action by designing engaging workshops, tools and resources that help professionals plan and work together more effectively. You will also take a leading role in facilitating active and inspiring workshops.

You’ll work closely with the ALP Change Lead, Senior Manager, our delivery partners and the wider Change team to make sure we’re constantly improving the support we offer.

Working as a Service User Engagement Lead you will be responsible for supporting the operational delivery of our service user engagement programme that will be a part of the Minerva service across London, including leading a team of CJS community champions and ambassadors and supporting in the oversight and delivery this programme across our 3 criminal justice services. In addition, this role requires you to build effective relationships with the criminal justice teams across London, and the regions alongside our partners and service users.

An integral part of the Service User Engagement Lead role will include delivering planned monthly supervision and ad-hoc supervision and having oversight of safeguarding and risk management for the CJS champions and ambassadors that you are working alongside. You will support the Senior Service Manager and Service Managers in delivering key information to keyworkers, in staff meetings and in day-to-day interactions to help promote the service user engagement programme.

You will lead your team and service while working collaboratively with fellow Advance managers and teams, external agencies and key stakeholders across London to provide a consistent and holistic service.

Key responsibilities and duties

They will be responsible for the design, development, and management of BI reports and dashboards across multiple BI tools, overseeing their full lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment, maintenance, and optimisation. This includes providing best practice guidance for reporting within systems such as Dynamics and Assemble.

As the expert of BI reporting, they will ensure that staff have access to data, and that reporting mechanisms remains available, effective, and continuously developed to address new and existing challenges. This will involve complex data troubleshooting, including resolving process inefficiencies, data quality issues, and user knowledge gaps. They will work closely with other teams to investigate and resolve these issues.

The BI reporting Lead will contribute to the MS Society’s data, digital, and technical strategy, particularly within Microsoft Azure data architecture, and play a key role in shaping the strategic use of BI tools across the organisation. CONTEXT OF THIS ROLE:

At Purposeful, communications is political. It is how we amplify girls’ voices, sharpen feminist narratives, and push back against regressive agendas. The Communications Director will sit at the heart of this work - shaping and delivering a bold communications strategy aligned with Purposeful’s vision, mission, and growth.

This role leads the stewardship of Purposeful’s voice, visual identity, and storytelling practice, ensuring that everything we produce - whether op-eds, reports, campaigns, or digital content - carries our politics with clarity and conviction. The Communications Director will work closely with the Co-CEOs and across all Purposeful teams, including Advocacy, grant-making, Learning & Insights, Programmes, and Resource Mobilisation, to amplify girls’ organising, showcase our impact, and influence the broader philanthropic and activist ecosystem.

This is both a strategic and hands-on role, requiring a deep commitment to feminist movements, an instinct for storytelling as political practice, and a proven track record of positioning organisations on the global stage.

SCOPE OF WORK

1. Communications Strategy & Leadership

• Lead on delivery and implementation of a new communications strategy, building on 2025 planning foundations.

• Work closely with the Co-CEOs and director team to horizon scan and adapt strategy in response to organisational vision and external landscape.

• Provide leadership to a small team of staff and consultants (designers, digital specialists, artists) and work collaboratively with partner communications leads on joint campaigns and initiatives.

• Meticulously manage and forecast the communications and editorial budget, ensuring value for money and strong planning.

• Track and analyse content performance, using insights to refine reach and engagement.

2. Storytelling & Content Development

• Oversee the creation of compelling storytelling content that highlights Purposeful’s impact, amplifies girls’ and young feminists’ voices, and influences funders.

• Lead editorial planning and content workflows, balancing evergreen storytelling with crisis-response or time-sensitive outputs.

• Oversee production and capture of content from live and digital events (webinars, IG Lives, panels, etc.).

• Coordinate brand refresh projects, including a website refresh, and strengthen Purposeful’s digital visibility with a focus on graphic-led content across social platforms.

3. Writing & Editorial Oversight

• Review and edit all external content to ensure quality, editorial standard, and alignment with Purposeful’s voice and values.

• Write op-eds, blogs, social media posts, campaign messaging, press materials, and executive summaries.

• Collaborate with colleagues in Learning & Insights to integrate data into storytelling and publications.

• Edit and manage the production of publications and reports, commissioning artists and graphic designers as needed.

• Provide editorial oversight for media projects, including radio, film, and animation.

4. Media Engagement & Positioning

• Cultivate strong relationships with international, regional, and local media outlets.

• Proactively position Purposeful in global and regional conversations, ensuring girls’ and feminist movements’ voices are at the centre.

• Lead on preparing and supporting spokespersons, including Co-CEOs and external partners, for media engagement.

• Design and execute media strategies for key campaigns, events, and publications.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Experience & Skills

• Proven experience developing and delivering communications strategies aligned with organisational goals.

• Demonstrated leadership in managing small teams and consultants.

• Strong hands-on skills in digital communication tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Canva, Adobe, basic video editing).

• Extensive experience in content planning and editorial workflows.

• Strong published track record (op-eds, blogs, media features) and evidence of positioning organisations in the public spotlight.

• Excellent writing and editing skills, with experience commissioning and managing creative contributors.

• Experience building and maintaining media relationships, particularly in activist and philanthropic contexts.

• Proven experience overseeing websites and digital platforms, using analytics to inform strategy.

• Strong project management and budget forecasting skills.

About MAP

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. For more than 40 years, we have been delivering essential health and medical care to those most affected by conflict, displacement and occupation in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) and Lebanon.
 
We are now responding to the largest emergency in our history. Over the last two year, tens of thousands of new supporters have joined MAP. We work to raise Palestinian voices and work to secure their rights to health and dignity.
 
At the forefront of this effort is MAP’s Advocacy, Campaigns and Communications Team – shaping public narratives, protecting and strengthening MAP’s reputation, and ensuring that the voices of our colleagues and the Palestinian communities we serve are heard worldwide.
 
About the role

We are looking for a Website Content Officer to work alongside Communications Officers in Gaza and the West Bank and the Lebanon Team to produce highly engaging content for MAP’s website. The Website Content Officer will be responsible for ensuring content across the website is maintained and kept up-to-date, and supporting colleagues across the organisation to deliver the highest quality web content that reaches their audiences and meets the strategic goals of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Write, edit, and publish engaging SEO-optimised content, blogs, and stories.
·        Translate complex policy and programmatic information into accessible, compelling copy.
·        Keep content updated, accurate, and aligned with MAP’s brand, tone, and accessibility standards.
·        Use Google Analytics to monitor performance, reporting insights to improve content impact.
·        Support teams across MAP to create effective, audience-first web content.

About you

You will bring proven experience writing high-quality, engaging digital content, strong SEO knowledge and an take an audience-focused approach to content creation and copywriting. Skilled in using CMS platforms (Wagtail desirable), you will be highly organised, collaborative, and able to juggle competing priorities. Knowledge of humanitarian or health contexts, and Arabic language skills, would be an advantage, but not essential.
