This is a very exciting time to be joining Impetus as we aim to support more young people this year than ever before in our history. We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Team Administrator who is excited by the prospect of working for an ambitious Philanthropy team in a sector leading charity. In this varied role, you will have the opportunity to support a variety of different types of donor engagement, including volunteering, pro bono, and events, as well as partnership management, in particular corporate partnerships.
The Philanthropy team raises income for Impetus and for Impetus partner charities. There are thirteen members of the team who are responsible for fundraising, events, and donor engagement, as well as collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to ensure we make a compelling case to generate new financial commitments and wider support for our work. The team also delivers a high-quality engagement programme of volunteering and pro bono for Impetus’s corporate supporters. Impetus has an annual income of over £10 million which we are looking to grow to £12-14 million within the next few years.
Impetus is driven by a shared belief in tackling the barriers that hold back young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in education and employment. Alongside investing extensive financial and non-financial support in our charity partners through our Investment Team we also seek to influence decision makers to design and implement evidence led policy and direct new resources to get young people the support they need through our Public Affairs team. About this role
This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent team player with enviable administrative and organisational skills. We are looking for someone with charity sector experience who is passionate about supporting and creating efficient and effective processes to enable our team to raise more money to support more young people.
The Team Administrator is a highly professional and proactive individual with excellent attention to detail who will directly support a busy and committed team.
We will expect the successful candidate to come into the office at least two days a week as well as attending a range of fundraising events throughout the year, including two evening events and one weekend event, for which they will receive TOIL.
Key responsibilities
Team Support
- Calendar management for the Philanthropy Team, especially the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships, including arranging external meetings for senior fundraisers.
- On-site support at events as required.
- Draft content for internal and external audiences, such as the internal newsletter, team updates or materials on programmes for funders.Manage incoming enquires quickly and professionally.
- Create and maintain efficient processes for managing and recording fundraising enquiries and information on the CRM system (Salesforce). Support room bookings when required.
Salesforce
- Be the point of contact for creating Salesforce reports to help drive fundraising activity.
- Support the logging of meeting notes on Salesforce working with fundraisers to ensure effective knowledge management and appropriate follow-up.
- Support management of Salesforce accounts, ensuring accuracy and up to date information is recorded.
- Support the creation and development of individual dashboards to help track and increase fundraising.
- Responsible for updating Salesforce database with pro bono and volunteering project information including reporting and tracking information.
Donor engagement support
- Assist with research on donors and prospects.
- Support the Pro Bono function, for instance, supporting the sourcing and stewarding of pro bono support from individuals and companies; and with the onboarding and management of pro bono partners, including inductions and ongoing communication.
- Manage the distribution and dissemination of supporter care materials and fundraising merchandise.
- Support with the preparation of templates and collateral such as presentations and donor communications.
- Proofreading of applications, reports and external communications.Write briefs for senior colleagues in advance of donor meetings.

- Proven experience of working in an administrative role within the charity sector.

The role:
This key role will add substantial grant-making and strategic capacity to the AFF team, which currently consists of 7 people reporting to the Director of A Fairer Future. The role will take on existing relationships in the form of a portfolio of organisations at various points in their funding journey. This person will pick up these relationships and ensure continuity as well as assessing new applications. There will also be work contributing to strategic initiatives, helping to achieve impact in the thematic areas covered by the AFF strategy and roadmaps. Committed to social justice, the candidate will be ambitious to help create change using Esmée's full range of tools and approaches.
Convening collaborations, commissioning research and mobilising networks to create change will all be part of this role in addition to the more day to day management of organisation's funding journey, supporting them from application onwards to achieve the best possible impact. They will also be responsible for capturing learning from reporting, site visits and facilitating online discussions with organisations, as well as representing the Foundation at sector forums and events concentrating on the AFF priority areas.

The person:
The successful candidate will have experience of working in one or more of the areas cover by the AFF priorities, perhaps gained through work in the voluntary or local authority sector. We are particularly keen to hear from applicants with experience in services to Children and Young People and/or racial justice, but are also interested to hear from those with experience more broadly across our AFF priority areas. This experience could have been gained from the delivering or commissioning programmes in these areas or indeed from a grant making perspective.
Highly organised, intellectually curious and pragmatic, this person will be able to unpick complex information and will be confident in assessing applicants' financial information. They will understand the charity funding world and importantly, the challenges faced by marginalised communities across the UK in the face of widespread inequity. The AFF team works with the Involving Young People's Collective, candidates should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the value of co-production.
IT confident and systematic in their approach, this person will also be helpful and empathetic in addition to being an excellent communicator, both in person and in written work. Excellent attention to detail, thorough and collaborative in their approach to work, this person will be a real team player whilst being able to work under their own steam, working in a fast-paced environment.
An understanding and experience of systems change principles and an appreciation of the nuanced intersections between the various priorities of the AFF programme will be important to success in this role. Main Duties:
Funding Development
Research and identify funding opportunities aligned with Cumberland Lodge programmes.

Further information
Hours: 14 hours per week (through an annualised hours working pattern).
Location: Remote working although the successful candidate will be expected to work from Cumberland Lodge a minimum of one day per month. Applicants should be aware that Cumberland Lodge is not easily accessible by public transport, so alternative forms of transport (bicycle, car) are helpful.
Annual leave: 33 days including Bank Holidays which will be pro-rata. The charity is closed over the Christmas period which will be deducted from the leave allocation.

We are looking for an experienced Designer to lead Product and Service Development priorities from our growing Design and Innovation Team at BookTrust.
The Designer, Product and Service Development will lead on activating the key design priorities that have come out of our new strategy. The successful candidate will need to be a multiskilled, ambidextrous designer who can apply human-centered design approaches to online and offline products/services and design end-to-end experiences.
We’re looking for someone with a track record of working with multiple functional teams to design brilliant products and/or services and who has hands-on, practical design experience.
The successful candidate would be involved in projects such as; developing a new group storytelling offer, setting up new co-design cohorts and experimenting with approaches, leading the definition of a new age range product for our early years subscription Story Explorers.
Key Deliverables include
- Lead the design of new products or re-fresh our existing products using design thinking/human-centered approaches. This may include a variety of types of online and offline products incl digital touchpoints and content, in person experiences, resources and books, engagement and training.
- Work with our Research & Impact team to establish a robust design learning approach, that supports us to make rapid progress in designing and delivering new or improved products.
- Work closely with our supply chain, IT, digital, books and content teams to develop prototypes and pilots that will test and refine our product offerings.
- Build strong relationships and influence at all levels and across multidisciplinary teams
- Support the transfer of new/re-developed products into business as usual by engaging and briefing key delivery teams and maintaining oversight of the product.
- Create excellent documentation including concept boards and low fidelity prototypes, process maps, ecosystem maps, journey maps and design briefs to enable product design.
- Work with the relevant D&I team lead to make sure design work aligns to the strategic plan and ambition.
Key Experiences Include
- Has strong practical experience of using design thinking or human centered design approaches to develop new or improve existing products and services (at least 3 years)

The Role
We are looking for a Youth Worker to join our Youth Work team, working both on the Roundhouse Studios front desk as well as on our youth focussed projects. The role will work across our 7 day provision, with the expectation of regular evening and weekend work, to provide the highest standards of service and support to young people using the Roundhouse Studios.
This will include administrative and front facing duties. You will be responsible for supporting and encouraging a diverse range of young people (in particular those with multiple and complex needs) aged 11-25 to engage in opportunities at the Roundhouse and assist with pastoral support.

Job Purpose

About Activate
Activate is a sport and physical activity-based programme, formed in 2018, seeking to build community through wellbeing that invigorates faith. Activate seeks to release God’s people to join in his mission through sport and physical activity in the areas surrounding Bushy Park. This includes gathering, encouraging and empowering local Christians involved in sports ministry, including expressions of chaplaincy and missional communities centred around sports clubs, centres, educational settings and gyms. A number of local churches across denominations and Dioceses have been supporters of the project.
In the past Activate has supported sports projects in local schools, an activity-based church service, wellbeing cafe sessions, exercise sessions for the elderly and youth activities. The successful candidate will be involved in re-launching Activate’s mission after a break due to staff changes.
About your team
With this role, you will have the benefit of being part of a national-focused sports team at SU, as well as the south team with a regional focus and the local context with Activate. You’ll work out of the office of St Peter’s Church, West Molesey, benefiting from the support of a local parish-based team including clergy and youth workers. You’ll contribute your expertise in a variety of settings, ranging from urban and suburban to coastal and rural areas across the south. You’ll have a brilliant time getting acquainted with this rich tapestry of local and national partners. Across the south region, we currently work with 130 churches and have 150 faith guides. We’d like to see these numbers grow significantly over the next few years and believe that a vibrant sports ministry can contribute meaningfully to this.

Our Commercial Team
We have a small commercial team with big ambitions for the sector.
Currently, we hold a single commercial contract worth around £3m per year delivered through 12 libraries. In the current funding climate for local authorities and local government services, these contracts are not just about the income and the services they can provide but about demonstrating nationally the power of the library sector, and how national services can be delivered locally through library services and the communities they serve.
Our approach is to identify and secure contracts procured by national government – either directly or with partners to extend the libraries’ capabilities – with an eye to local delivery through the library services. This allows us to centrally hold and manage the risk of the national contract, leaving the library services to deliver themselves.
We see libraries as a solution to many of society’s challenges and this is one route we use to bring the libraries into that solution.
This area is part of our long term strategy – we are seeking to build the commercial team with this role and while it is initially a 12-month contract, our hope is that with the role in place we can generate the income to sustain and build on it.

As Interim Philanthropy and Partner Engagement Director, you will:
- Oversee and support a multi-disciplinary fundraising team spanning major donors, partnerships, gaming, principal giving, institutional funding, and events
- Lead strategic planning and budgeting across the function, ensuring strong performance, income growth and long-term value
- Maximise outcomes from Winter Wassail (December 2025), War Child’s flagship gala event with a £2m target and major stewardship opportunity
- Support and strengthen the corporate partnerships function, working closely with the Head of Partnerships to refine strategy and unlock potential
- Guide the development of the principal gifts function, with a new senior hire expected before the handover
- Shape next steps for gaming and digital partnerships, following an external review

Ideal skills and experience:
- Significant experience in corporate partnerships, with the ability to develop strategy, support senior fundraisers and identify long-term opportunities
- Strong knowledge of high-value fundraising, including major donors, principal giving and events-led philanthropy
- Experience leading managers and senior fundraisers across multiple income streams, ideally within a similarly sized or complex organisation
- A strategic mindset, with hands-on involvement in planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting
- A collaborative, emotionally intelligent leadership style that combines high challenge with high support
- The ability to influence across teams and departments; experience in international development is helpful but not essential
- The confidence to represent War Child with major donors, partners, and senior stakeholders, both internally and externally

We are looking for 2 organised and dedicated Project Workers who have a strong empathy with single homeless people, to coordinate our intensive housing management services across our South London boroughs.
You will be joining a small , friendly registered charity and registered provider with a supportive team.
Job purpose
The Project Worker will be responsible for the delivery of a responsive intensive housing management service to clients allocated by the Team Leader.
The central aim of the role is to support homeless clients temporarily living in CLHT placements to become as independent as possible and to facilitate timely move-on into independent living settings.
This will be achieved through regular client-led keywork sessions and in close collaboration with external partners.
The Project Worker will coordinate the day-to-day smooth running of each house they are responsible for.
Duties and responsibilities specific to the role
Intensive Housing Management
- Responsible for a broad range of housing management activities, including signing up new residents, issuing licensing agreements, delivering new client inductions, occupancy management and eviction / abandonment.
- Evictions are a last resort and CLHT works within the Homeless Link guidance on preventing evictions and abandonment.
- Work collaboratively with the Finance team to coordinate rent/ service charge collections
- Carry out regular occupancy checks.
- Maintain accurate and timely records related to housing management activities, within the requirements of GDPR.
- Maintain a healthy and safe environment and encourage clients to take individual responsibility for their living environment and for positive relationships with fellow residents.
- Ensure the accommodation where clients live is clean and maintained to a high standard, in line with CLHT property standards.
- Ensure the accommodation meets all legal and statutory health and fire safety requirements
- Work in close collaboration with the Maintenance team to ensure all repairs and maintenance issues are correctly reported and resolved.
- To promote and encourage client participation in the Intensive Housing Management process and to act as advocate for clients when necessary.
- This includes leading regular house meetings and encouraging clients to become ‘resident representatives’.
- To document each visit to projects, detailing tasks undertaken, any changes that have occurred and other relevant information.
- Manage antisocial behaviour and clients complaints in line with our Anti-Social Behaviour and Complaints procedures.
- Liaise with senior managers to ensure complaints are addressed in a timely manner.
Health and Safety
- Adhere to best practice in meeting the requirements of health and safety legislation in all aspects of the organisation’s work.
