Creative Support are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to manage our team of support staff at our Mental Health service in Whalley Range. We require someone with a good understanding and experience in the field of mental health.
As a Team Leader you will received guidance and support from the registered service manager to help maintain high quality support to oversee the supported accommodation service. You will also join a cohort of experienced regional managers who, alongside the registered manager, will provide peer support to you in your role.
The successful applicant will be supporting active and independent service users with mental health needs with a wide range of interests and goals. No two days will be the same at this service as we support our service users to follow their passions and engage in a range of activities including: meals out, cooking/baking, board games, movie nights, arts and crafts and many more.
The Role:
-To directly lead the team and be responsible for the line management of team members
-To operate as a Team Leader across different streams of support and ensure effective running of services with the support of other senior staff.
-To undertake within your duties direct support to service users.
-To provide person-centred care and support to enable people with mental health needs to live as independently as possible and be part of their community.
-To engage with service users and build trusting therapeutic relationships.
-To undertake assessments of new referrals and ensure robust review processes for those who use the services
-To work closely with other professionals and agencies to provide a coordinated personalised service, which meets the identified needs of individuals, promotes their recovery and maintains their quality of life.
-To deputise for the Mental Health Manager in relevant work areas when required. To provide staff supervision and management, undertaking initial assessments and liaising with other professionals and agencies.

We are currently looking for Residential Support Workers to join our established team in Bedford, Bedfordshire located off of Goldington Road. Our residential support workers provide care and support for 5 individuals with learning and physical disabilities, and other needs to enjoy an excellent quality of life in this residential care home. The service is located 10 minutes from Bedford town centre off of the Goldington Road and near to Goldington Green. There is free onsite and on-street parking for staff and good transport links via the Number 10 and 27 buses. The service is a large bungalow with an expansive garden which the individuals love to spend time in during the warmer weather.
Individuals living at the service are sociable and active and enjoy lots of interaction with their staff. They enjoy spending quality time with the staff team at the service and out in the community. Examples of activities include walks around the local area, going shopping, sensory activities, shopping in the town centre, day trips out, visiting arts and crafts, and board games.
Support Worker duties include:
· Providing respectful and dignified personal care including the administration of medication

We are seeking a highly committed, proactive and professional Deputy Service Manager to lead in the operational management of a specialist registered care home located in Witham, Essex. The service has been developed to meet the needs of people who have a learning disability and/or physical disabilities. They may also need support in managing a variety of health conditions including epilepsy and dysphagia.
The service supports 18 individuals in three detached bungalows. The accommodation has been carefully designed to meet the 24 hour needs of individuals that live there and has been rated as Good by the CQC. All tenants receive well planned, personalised support to enable them to be more confident and independent. The care provided includes aspects of intimate personal care, medication administration including epilepsy rescue medication, moving and handling and support with nutrition.
As the Deputy Service Manager, you will work together with the Registered Manager to ensure that the service remains of the highest quality, meeting all CQC and contract requirements and that this can be demonstrated through comprehensive quality and monitoring/auditing processes. You will ensure that the service works in a cohesive and coordinated manner and that clients experience a fully integrated and seamless care, support and housing experience.
You will ensure that the personalized care and support delivery is in accordance with agreed care plans, enabling clients to continue to enjoy wellbeing, quality of life and community connections. You will promote and re-inforce a culture of responsive, person-centered practice and active support across the service, with relationships based on respect and unconditional positive regard.
Significant practitioner or management experience in services for people with a learning and physical disabilities is essential alongside a warm, person centred and respectful approach. You should ideally have a relevant professional qualification (e.g. Diploma in Social Work, RMN NVQ 3/4/5) and/or a degree level or post- graduate qualification. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Manager to manage our two Carlisle Extra Care services, Heysham Gardens and Burnside Court are both well established, well regarded services. Both services have a vibrant and established care team providing compassionate support to older adults. The services always ensure support cover is in place during the day and operates waking night support to clients should they need it. The service is registered with the CQC as delivering Personal Care and has good systems and processes in place to ensure that a quality service is delivered consistently. You will need to fulfil the role of registered manager with the CQC for this service and meet the expectations of the local authority commissioners and the contract that unpins the service which holds a ‘Good’ rating with the Care and Quality Commission.
You will have the values and commitment to lead the staff team to provide the highest standards of customer care and person-centred service delivery and to promote independence, choice and wellbeing. The role will involve the operational management of the service and the direct supervision of a Deputy Manager and Support Workers.
You will be expected to work effectively with families and other agencies and to maintain a positive and trusting relationship with the on-site Housing Scheme Managers. You will need skills in contract and relationship management. You will undertake quality assurance checks at the service to ensure compliance with essential standards of care, this is a busy service and therefore you will need to be hard working, accountable and have strong organisational skills.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in partnership with other agencies to provide a holistic and joined up approach for meeting the needs of older adults. You will respond to referrals, undertake assessments and take part in allocation processes. You will ensure that each person moving into the service has a personalised care plan which ensures that their needs and preferences are met.

Key accountabilities
Assist the management of Able Child’s brand and external communications, with high quality content.
1. Along with the team, manage Able Child’s social channels, working with external suppliers when applicable, to maintain a professional and engaging external brand.
2. Support the management of a vibrant and responsive website by ensuring content is up to date, professional and engaging; supporting the collection of imagery, videos, case studies and blogs where directed.
3. Produce and distribute Able Child’s quarterly newsletter, contributing with high quality written content and complying with organisational data protection and confidentiality standards.
Assist the management of Able Child’s portfolio of fundraising events.
4. Assist with the delivery of Able Child’s events portfolio when required. This includes but is not exclusive to the London Marathon, the Gala Dinner, the Children’s 10k walk and the Charity Golf Day.
5. Market the events, recruiting, retaining and communicating with participants to support the achievement of income targets.
6. Support with donor stewardship activities post event, engaging new regular donors and supporters to grow our incomes streams.
Assist the delivery of other fundraising work, including but not exclusive to Trusts & Foundations, individual giving and community fundraising.
7. Support the attainment of funds from a variety of Trusts and Foundations, through submitting high quality applications.
8. Support Able Child's individual giving programme, assisting with donor communications, building relationships with donors and growing our income.
9. Support community fundraising activities, empowering existing and newly sourced supporters to independently generate funds through independent events and activities.
Provide other support to the Fundraising and Communications and wider operational teams as agreed, including supporting routine office operations.
10. Maintain our Salesforce database, keeping detailed records of communications, support and donations from individuals and organisations.
11. Support our advocacy objectives, working with the Advocacy team to produce high quality and consistent messaging for use within the international development sector.
12. Support the delivery of unique and ongoing operational activities as required for the effective running of the organisation.
Competencies
Experience
1. At least one years’ experience in a fundraising, communications, marketing or sales support role or similar.
2. Experience of managing or supporting the management of events to, ideally including managing volunteers or supporters to raise funds.
3. Experience or knowledge of writing funding applications, ideally with a demonstrable track record of securing funds from Trusts and Foundations.
Skills and Technical Competencies
4. Creative ability to assist in the production of engaging content for communication in line with the organisational brand and mission.
5. Competency in managing social channels under direction, developing newsletters and other blogs or articles.
6. Basic understanding of WordPress, and other design packages (Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva) desirable.

7. An understanding of contributing to an organisational culture based on inclusivity, wellbeing and empowerment.
8. Excellent time management and organisational skills; ability to work under pressure to prioritise and manage varied workload and competing deadlines whilst ensuring attention to detail.
