Fundraising Assistant

Contract: Permanent, part-time (21 hours per week)

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 pro rata (commensurate with experience)

This is a part-time post, 21 hours per week to be worked on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Hybrid working available, with a requirement to be in the Battersea office 1 to 2 days per week.

BookTrust is the UK's largest children's reading charity. Working with every local authority and across every region in England, Northern Ireland and Wales, and supported by Arts Council funding, we reach over 3 million families a year through schools, health visitors, libraries and other partners. Working as a member of the Mass Engagement team, you will be part of the team tasked with growing individual giving income.  We are increasing the range of new donor audiences, expanding the range of fundraising channels and developing new fundraising products.

We are looking for an organised and motivated individual, who has excellent communication skills, an eye for detail and the ability to build relationships with people by email, on the telephone and in person.

You’ll be responsible for responding to fundraising enquiries across multiple channels including phone, email, and print, thanking supporters, collating campaign results and providing an exceptional experience to our supporters. You will ensure that all donor details are accurate and kept up to date on our CRM (Microsoft Dynamics).

ActionSpace, the sector-leading charity working with learning disabled artists across London is seeking an exceptional individual to join the team as Pastoral Care Co-ordinator.

The Pastoral Care Co-ordinator ensures all artists and project participants are able to maximise the benefits of participating in ActionSpace activities and supports them in realising their personal potential by ensuring accessibility and co-ordinating support needs. 

The ideal candidate will have at least five years experience of working with learning disabled adults, particularly those with high support needs, and experience of developing and implementing access and behaviour support plans. They will have a comprehensive working knowledge of the needs and rights of learning disabled people, the relevant statutory authorities, legislation and public policy around accessibility and social care, be committed toworking in an anti-discriminatory way, with a positive view of learning disabled people. They will enjoy working as part of a team but also be able to work independently, managing their own workload.

Our purpose at the Ace of Clubs is to address people’s basic human needs by providing food, clothing, toiletries, and practical support. We help people link up with housing, healthcare, education, and employment. Our Support Workers work to help individuals overcome barriers to achieving wellbeing, whether it be through guidance in the support system, learning new skills or supporting service users to build the confidence and skills to enable them to navigate their life challenges and advocate for themselves. Duties and Key relationships Marketing and Communications

This is a new role in the Marketing and Communications department and is responsible for the media relations of the Charity.  

PR and Media Relations

• To develop relevant media contacts, as well as contacts in the sector, to maximise the reach and coverage of key communications campaigns as well as wider organisational projects.

• Produce creative copy written for a variety of audience groups which champions and shows best practice of our tone of voice

• Develop and support in house PR roll out

· Work with external PR agency on selected press releases where relevant

· Write press releases in line with campaign launches and key moments

• Maintain the communications calendar

• Lead on gathering powerful stories that highlight the impact of childhood cancer on the lives of children, young people and families

Key responsibilities

1. Manage WheelPower’s social media output

• Plan, create, write and schedule social media posts. Analyse activity and respond to comments and tagged posts
• Create paid and organic digital campaigns for social media which support events and encourage activity and engagement. Plan and design creative elements including use of images, graphics, animations and video
• Spot trends and advise on best social media content and new technologies
• Be aware and engage in social media content from other organisations that relate to disabled people and the organisations who support them. Have a good understanding of current events, sporting opportunities and re-share or comment on where appropriate
• Monitor and analyse social media activity of related organisations to identify opportunities and learnings to improve WheelPower’s online presence

• Ensure that wheelchair users have access to the right information, in the right format, promoted in the right locations which enables them to take part in sport and physical activity
• Maintain the website to ensure that all information is up to date an accurate
• Create new webpages to support the promotion of new opportunities and activities and ensure that all pages are optimised for search engine and ensure we learn from Google Analytics and visitor behaviour

3. Marketing and communications

• Produce innovative content for the delivery of creative, successful and cost-effective marketing and media campaigns targeting online and off-line audiences.
• Target specific communications which promote our work to wheelchair users, those who support wheelchair users, disabled groups, disabled children, their families and our supporters.
• Manage and produce regular outbound communications which promote WheelPower and our partners’ events and activities.
• Maintain and develop good relationships with local and national media organisations.
• Produce high quality press releases for written media, arrange interviews with radio, and be the point of contact to organise and arrange TV media to attend our events.
• Create, monitor and evaluate paid for social media advertising and online digital marketing opportunities. Work with a given budget to produce effective and engaging Ads.

4. Content Creation

• Promote our events and activities by telling the stories of how our work has had a positive impact on the physical and mental well-being of disabled people
• Produce a range of well written and informative stories which will underpin our promotional activity. Arrange interviews and be confident with audio/visual equipment to capture positive feedback from our beneficiaries.
• Create original social media graphics, leaflets, posters and a wide variety of marketing materials to promote sport and fundraising activities.
• Work within the brand guidelines to ensure consistency.
• Work with existing and new partners in order to communicate through their networks and channels with a particular focus on disabled people’s organisations and disabled people’s user led organisations.
• Engage and create specific content for Awareness Dates and work with our partners to increase awareness of the work of WheelPower.
• Have a good understanding of video editing software and be able to create, edit and produce professional looking innovative video content.

The Digital Content and Communications Officer (DCCO) reports to the Digital Communications Manager and has responsibility for the SAT-7 UK website, digital marketing and social media. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Website: Developing and updating SAT-7’s websites as inspiring platforms to raise profile, income and engagement.

Emails: Work with colleagues in the Communications Team and across the organisation to build, test and send responsive email templates for all SAT-7 UK’s email requirements (meeting SAT-7’s brand guidelines and conforming to industry standards). Use email marketing tool DotDigital to develop automated communications that strengthen supporter engagement and convert recipients into committed donors.

Content: Deliver engaging and inspiring rich media content across a range of digital channels, including web, email, podcasts, social media and other digital marketing platforms. 

Social Media: Work closely with other team members to deliver strong social media content and engagement across various platforms, chiefly Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, LinkedIn.

Digital Marketing: Support the digital marketing of SAT-7 resources and campaigns through social media advertising, external agencies and other channels as required, to engage more deeply with existing supporters and donors, raise profile, acquire new supporters and to raise funds for SAT-7 UK.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• In all communication ensure consistent messaging, branding and tone of voice for the intended audience and that content conforms to the security and style guides.
• Use Customer Relationship Management systems to ensure efficient and secure storage of information.
• Assist members of the team in responding appropriately to communications from supporters and other organisations.
• Liaise with SAT-7 staff from other offices to share ideas and resources.
• Assist the Digital Communications Manager and represent SAT-7 UK at conferences and events as required.
• At all times operate within relevant statutory requirements and guidelines, following best practice recommendations wherever possible. Specially ensure compliance with the Fundraising Regulator and General Data Protection Regulations.

Based: Remotely – however must be willing and able to travel as and when required to meetings and events.

Job Purpose: To organise the planning and implementation of Programmes & Events and maintain a high level of accuracy and detail throughout.

The role:
Arrhythmia Alliance Group is recruiting a Projects & Events Co-ordinator on a full-time, permanent, remote basis. Your skills will be essential in strengthening the charities profile through programmes and event planning and coordination.
You will support the organisation with its’ programme and events portfolio by developing healthy, professional, relationships at all levels. You will also showcase initiatives taken and their key impact in making a real difference in people's lives.

Main responsibilities:

- Plan, coordinate, attend and execute a range of charity programmes and events.

- Oversee all event logistics, including venue selection, contract negotiations, transportation, accommodation, and catering arrangements.

- Agenda and room allocations

- Liaise effectively with various vendors and service providers.

- Develop and manage budgets, providing financial reports and forecasts to senior management.

- Evaluate programme and event success through feedback collection and analysis, making necessary recommendations for improvements.

- Promote the organisation's brand image, values, and initiatives.
Ensure all events are compliant with relevant standards and other regulations.

- Diary management for all programmes and events

- Support in production of relevant presentations and be able to present on the Charity group whilst attending events online or in person.

- Take payments over the phone as and when required.

- Attend physical meetings and events as and when needed to provide support.

- Support the production of recording for Healthcare Professionals, patients and care givers for educational webinars & events using but not limited to Microsoft Teams or Zoom.

Essential requirements:

- Experience working with vendors and negotiating venue contracts.

- Excellent organisational and project management skills.

- Ability to manage budgets and financial planning for events.

- Ability to work under pressure and handle last-minute changes.

- Ability to engage with wide range of stakeholders including healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, sponsors and exhibitors.

- Educated to GCSE level (minimum).

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Advanced Knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel.

- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload.

- Ability to work on own initiative.
