About the role  

Across the UK, over 400 organisations refer women for a Smart Works appointment, including job centres, refuges, prisons, working programme providers and other charities. The team in each centre supports clients to access their appointment.

We are recruiting for a Service Delivery Assistant based in our Reading centre to lead on the smooth running of our service, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all clients, volunteers and visitors. Our team is friendly and professional, and we work closely together to make sure every client has an outstanding experience when they visit us.

The Service Delivery Assistant will be the first point of contact a client will have with Smart Works. Therefore, we are looking for a friendly, organised and hard-working individual. The role requires strong administrative skills, excellent communication skills and a drive to ensure all women who visit us have the best possible experience. The role would be based in Reading city centre, and there will be occasional evening and weekend work as the role holder may be asked to provide key events support. 

Smart Works Reading is part of Smart Works Charity, with Smart Works centres across the UK. There will therefore be some travel and frequent liaison with local centres across the UK and HQ in London, to support induction and training, as well as the day-to-day role. 

Duties and responsibilities

• Being the first point of contact for all clients, volunteers and visitors of the centre, in person, via email and on the phone. 
• Managing the central inbox, responding to clients, referral partners, volunteers, donors and potential supporters.
• Day to day coordination of the Smart Works service, including booking all client appointments, answering the phone and all related service administration.
• Maintaining an up to date and accurate client data base.
• Generating volunteer rotas and day to day volunteer communications relating to service delivery.
• Ensuring the dressing room and stockroom is organised and tidy to a high standard.
• Ensuring all operational policies and procedures including Safeguarding are maintained, communicated, and adhered to on service days.
• Supporting the team with ad hoc administration tasks.

• Friendly, enthusiastic and engaging with a variety of stakeholders.
• A good team player with a strong work ethic whilst able to make decisions independently.
• Curious with an enjoyment for learning and trying new ways of working.

Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our literacy programme at HMP The Verne, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.

This role will be prison-based. We are looking for a creative, compassionate and enthusiastic leader who can help us not only reach but exceed our goals for this project and be the nurturing force to help Roots to Wellbeing develop and grow. 

Roots to Wellbeing project aims:

• Provide a safe and inclusive space for participants to receive weekly support.
• Help participants to connect with nature and socialise with others to feel happier, less anxious and less isolated.
• Support participants to access other beneficial services, where appropriate, including health, social and financial.
• Support participants to move onto outdoor work or volunteering with friends of groups where appropriate.
• Facilitate a positive journey through the service for participants to ensure as many people as possible can access the service.

The role 

The roles has four main areas of work:

1. Leadership and management:

• Lead the Roots to Wellbeing team to reach its goals. 
• Line manage and support three Mental Health Officers, each delivering Roots to Wellbeing on one site.
• Work with local communities and other team members to explore new opportunities for the project and develop solutions.
• Work with CEO and Head of Fundraising to secure funding for project development.

2. Project management: 

• Oversee the delivery and development of the project to meet key KPIs.
• Collate qualitative and quantitative data and produce impact reports for funders. 
• Support team to ensure administrative records are kept up to date, including but not limited to: maintaining accurate participant records, work programme, incident reporting, risk management, external outreach, website.
• Develop a thorough communications strategy and build on current local referral relationships to further embed the programme within the VCSE & Health sector.
• Ensure service standard and quality is consistent across sites and policies and procedures are followed. 
• Recruit and induct volunteers to support session delivery.
• Work in partnership with stakeholders within and across the organisation to deliver project goals.
• Attend networking meetings and community events to raise awareness of the project and demonstrate its impact. 

3. Session delivery at Hartcliffe Millennium Green: 

• Continually build and maintain relationships with local referral partners to achieve a consistent referral rate into the project. 
• Deliver weekly Roots to Wellbeing sessions by; planning and facilitating delivery of sessions and activities in line with 5 pathways to nature connectedness and that are accessible to all participants, organising logistics of sessions such as travel, food and equipment, acting as safeguarding lead during sessions, liaising with co-facilitator, leading peer-support style check in at the beginning of the sessions and the grounding and meditation at the end.
• Lead on all direct communication with participants at Hartcliffe Millennium Green. Support them to create personalised development plans, signposting and referrals where needed. 

4. Other: 

• Support the work of the wider charity and specifically the South Bristol team as required. 
• Representing the charity externally through media work and presentation where necessary.

Main Purpose and Scope of the Role

The Marketing and Communications Manager will be highly motivated, and results driven. You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing a strategy to enhance Action4Youths profile. This role is key in promoting brand awareness, engaging audiences, driving traffic and will enable the success of increased sales and fundraising.

You will lead on the creation of engaging content plans to promote Action4Youth’s work to multiple audiences, across multiple channels including PR, web, social media, e comms and print to increase engagement amongst partners, supporters and donors.

This job combines management responsibilities with being hands on and will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who is practical and able to get things done effectively.

Key areas of responsibility:

Strategy

• Supported by the Development Director, lead on the development and implementation of our marketing and communications strategy to position the charity and influence its many audiences.
• Develop engaging campaigns and events, from inception to implementation, to grow brand awareness, sales of our programmes and facilitate community fundraising.

· Lead on the formation of engaging and creative project plans to activate successful campaigns across all channels.

Marketing

· Take overall responsibility for the production and implementation of creative and compelling multimedia content, including, scheduling, reporting and analysis for driving and improving results.

· Analyse and report performance metrics and insights by producing regular performance, reach, engagement, conversions, and ROI reports in order to monitor the effectiveness of digital activity.

· Ensure the website works for optimum customer and visitor journey to improve analytics and ensure content and pages are easily accessible.

· Create and co-ordinate digital advertising and email marketing activity to support campaigns and organisational goals and provide reports to monitor effectiveness.

• Collate and prepare all marketing materials for a range of print collateral to support the charities work and define distribution and dissemination channels.

Communications

· Be the PR and media lead by planning, developing, and implementing PR and media strategies.

• Generate story-worthy press releases to facilitate coverage, increase awareness of all areas of service provision and elevate campaigns.

· Work collaboratively with the media and build strong relationships with key press and community figures via networking and events.

• Plan press and photo opportunities and attend events to optimise engagement.
• Develop and implement regular E-comms to different audiences by building strong and compelling email campaigns.

Other

· Monitor and report on performance against monthly KPIs and objectives and ensure planned expenditure is within budget.

• Monitor and evaluate the success of all marketing activities and use outcomes to inform and shape the future of our initiatives.
• Oversee media monitoring systems
• and ensure compliance with GDPR/Data Protection.
• Line manage the Marketing Executive and provide effective support and development.

Experience of collating and utilising analytics to inform future development.

The key purpose of the Director of Operations and Delivery will be to ensure that the systems, processes and activities of George House Trust run effectively so that we can focus on ensuring the highest quality support for people living with HIV.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will work with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure that we  continue to punch well above our weight.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you'll have the opportunity to develop creative solutions and coach an amazing and passionate team to ensure that everything we do makes life better for people living with HIV.

We are looking for an individual who will support the development and execution of communication activity aligned with MHFA England’s membership, media and campaign plans. The post holder will create and promote a range of content across different channels (earnt and owned) to help the team in meeting its objectives.

You will help MHFA England to deliver integrated communications and campaigns, working with the marketing and communications team and wider organisation. All activity will be delivered in line with MHFA England’s vision and mission. It will help showcase the organisation’s expertise and support it to meet revenue targets.

You may also be expected to represent the marcomms team in the delivery of organisational wide projects and initiatives.

About the role

Include was founded in 2018, in response to an identified lack of opportunity and support for people with communication needs and has grown steadily ever since. This post has been created in response to that growth and achievement.

The Operations and Business Development Lead will play an important role in overseeing effective organisational service delivery and working closely with the CEO to develop the role of the charity within Surrey and beyond. The role requires overseeing delivery of key projects, managing a small team of staff and volunteers, developing long-term business plans and curating relationships with new partners and funders to ensure Include has the resilience to deliver against its mission into the future.

As OBD Lead, you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team working with the CEO, Finance & Data Lead, Communications & Partnerships Lead & Clinical Lead to develop and deliver Include’s core services and processes, with an eye for sustainability, impact and long-term growth.

This is a hybrid role. You will be asked to assist at events or performances, in addition to regularly attending sessions and meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management

• Develop, support, and improve service delivery of key activities
• Review and improve impact measurement processes
• Review and improve policies and procedures
• Review and improve governance frameworks
• Manage a team of staff and chair meetings
• Support with HR functions and structural
• Prepare and create reports for the benefit of CEO and board of trustees

Business Development and Fundraising

• Develop new relationships to improve the profile and reach of the charity
• Support the fundraising team with grant applications, community fundraising, donor management or corporate support as required
• Identify new revenue streams and opportunities
• Oversee, develop and support the funding strategy to ensure financial resilience
• Develop and update the organisation’s business plan
• Work with the senior leadership team to set achievable KPIs
• (Potential to develop fundraising qualification through apprenticeship)

 Event Management

•  Manage and coordinate Include events
• Evaluate event delivery and ROI

Volunteer Coordination

• Oversee and support volunteer recruitment including supported volunteers
