Role summary

The Fundraising Assistant role is a vital role for Edward’s Trust’s Fundraising Team. You will be assisting with all areas of Fundraising from being the first point of call for supporters and volunteers, to support them with fundraising activities, ensuring they are thanked, and communications are personal and timely. You will be involved in planning and assisting with the fundraising activity across the team and will have responsibility for  keeping our database and records up to date and ensuring we are compliant.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for supporters, requests and queries relating to fundraising.
• Maintain accurate records of fundraising activity and income and be able to report on basic fundraising activity and income, including following financial procedures such as scanning and banking of cheques, timely preparation of thank you letters and updating of the fundraising database and planning and evaluation documents.
• Maintain the fundraising database, Donorflex, and any other planning documents through accurate data input and compliance with data processing regulations.

• Create materials such as posters, tickets, signs, social media posts and campaign emails to promote fundraising activities as required
• Be responsible for managing, ordering, updating and keeping track of all fundraising merchandise, leaflets and other equipment for fundraising purposes.
• Assist in the running and planning of fundraising campaigns and activities as required.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally 
• Provide excellent supporter care to all supporters including service users

 Bright Futures UK supports children and young people aged 5 to 24 whose education has been disrupted due to serious long-term physical or mental health conditions. By collaborating with various departments and stakeholders, the BI Lead ensures that data-driven decision-making and performance measurement are integral to ways-of-working, enhancing overall effectiveness and fostering continuous improvement.

This role develops and implements organisational data strategies and frameworks for measuring the impact and performance of the MS Society’s work, aligned to organisational strategy, covering data collection, analysis, and reporting, and ensuring consistency, accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of impact and performance evidence and insights.

Experience of stakeholder management both internal and external; and designing and delivering complex analysis and evaluations is required.

With one direct report, we require a seasoned manager / lead and the person applying should also have proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) for advanced data analysis and modelling (e.g. logic models, theory of change and other evaluation models), and experience in using survey tools and software for data collection and analysis.

Role Summary

The Resources Coordinator role sits within the learning content creation team, which is responsible for the devising, commissioning and delivering of high quality, film-focused learning opportunities. These include the production of resources and online courses for teachers and their learners which are made available on our website and on our learning platform.

As an Independent Advocate, you will provide crucial support to vulnerable adults facing significant health and social care challenges. You will deliver a range of statutory advocacy services including Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA), Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) and Care Act Advocacy. Your role involves delivering persuasive verbal and written representations on behalf of clients, collaborating with public and voluntary organisations, and taking directed actions to address client issues. This role demands flexibility, excellent communication, and the ability to handle sensitive information confidently.

Hours of Work: Full-Time: 37 hours, working between Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm

Location: Home based with travel around the Birmingham area.
(Applicants must live within the area; have a full driver’s licence and access to their own transport)

Salary: Starting Salary of £24,242.40 per annum

Independent Advocate Requirements:

• Strong communication and time management skills to successfully work remotely.
• Excellent IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and the ability to learn software packages such as client management databases.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate recording of records and reporting to meet tight deadlines.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in advocacy, information and advice, or a similar role within health, social care, or the voluntary sector.
• Demonstrable experience working with vulnerable adults.
• Working knowledge of public and voluntary organisations.

We’re now seeking an experienced and visionary Interim Senior Fundraising Insights and Research Manager to cover the postholder’s maternity leave. This is a strategic, high-impact role for a data-driven leader who can unlock insight to maximise supporter engagement and drive income growth. You’ll shape and lead the research and insight function, transforming data into clear strategies that sharpen targeting, deepen donor relationships, and enhance campaign performance.

You’ll also lead the development of new supporter segmentation strategies, harness technology to improve CRM systems, and play a key role in World Vision’s ambitious plans to scale Child Sponsorship. As our Fundraising Officer you’ll play a crucial role in raising philanthropic income for the university. You’ll be joining us at an exciting time as 2026 marks the University’s centenary.

Your work will involve planning and delivering a range of fundraising activities aimed at raising charitable donations from alumni and other supporters. Projects will include an international giving day, telephone campaign, direct mail appeals, online crowdfunding projects and raising money at public events on our campuses.

This is a chance to make a real difference during an important year. You’ll be joining a friendly, supportive and passionate team and your work will have real impact — supporting students, research and the wider community through our centenary projects.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work with a wide range of people

• Good all round IT skills
• Ideally gained some prior experience in a fundraising role

This role is a fixed-term full time position, working 35 hours per week, providing maternity cover for 1 year from February 2026. Working hours would normally be 9-5pm Monday to Friday, but the role will require periods of out of hours working such as during the telephone campaign.

The role requires some days working at the Whiteknights Campus each week, but The Fundraising Team supports hybrid remote working arrangements too.
