The role is responsible for continuing and enhancing both public and internal communication. We are a growing charity helping to lead the way in supporting survivors of modern slavery. This role is a pivotal part of the Fundraising team and will help us to deliver our aim to empower survivors of modern slavery and exploitation.
This role is designed for someone who enjoys cultivating and developing income through individual giving and thrives on excellent and creative communication.
What You’ll Be Doing:
This person will take the lead on developing and delivering the organisation’s communication and marketing, in line with our branding, mission, vision and values. This includes:

Lead on branding, digital presence (website, social media, newsletters), and compelling storytelling to grow awareness, engage supporters, and recruit staff/volunteers.

Develop and deliver campaigns, newsletters, and case studies with sensitivity, ensuring consistent brand representation and co-produced content with beneficiaries.

Contribute to annual fundraising strategy, create detailed communications/marketing plans with budgets and targets, and strengthen the donor journey.

Partner with the fundraising team to drive income through digital marketing, supporter engagement, donor retention, and data-led reporting.

Manage eTapestry records, supporter data, and income tracking, while recommending improvements in data management and ensuring GDPR compliance.

Battersea is entering an exciting phase of innovation and transformation as we embark on the first year of our new five-year strategy. With increased investment in income generation starting in 2025, we are expanding our team to drive the growth necessary to achieve our organisational goals. Our fundraising team bridges the journey of the animals in our care with the wider public, demonstrating how their contributions enable us to support every dog and cat. Main purpose of the role:
This is a new role working within Battersea’s Income Generation department to develop and deliver the campaign plan for a £4-6million pound capital fundraising appeal.
One of the key pillars of Battersea’s current strategy is to ensure that we continue to provide expert care for all the dogs and cats that come through our gates. One of the ways in which we do this is by investing in our facilities to ensure that they continue to meet the changing needs of the animals we care for. This fundraising campaign will help to achieve that aim.
You will work with teams across Battersea to develop a comprehensive plan for the campaign and co-ordinate the work of multiple specialist teams to deliver the campaign on a day-to-day basis. You will also be responsible for developing a clear governance structure for the campaign, and ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed of progress. You will also oversee and track progress of a series of internal process improvements that support the running of the campaign.
Please note, this is not a direct fundraising position, but will support our fundraising teams in delivering ambitious financial targets for the appeal.

About the role:
This role is based in Ashford, Kent and is offered on a hybrid basis, working from home, the office and also requires regular travel travel across Kent and Medway.

We are recruiting a Wellbeing Counsellor and an Autism and Learning Disabilities Specialist for the Brighton and Hove Community Wellbeing Service for children and young people (CYP).
Our service, led by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with YMCA DownsLink, supports 2–25 year olds with mild-to-moderate mental health needs. Since 2020, we’ve provided community-based, evidence-based interventions including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), counselling, low-intensity interventions, group treatments, creative therapies, and social prescribing — all tailored to individual needs and age.
In this role, you will provide counselling that is adapted to ensure accessibility for autistic children and young people, as well as those with learning disabilities. This support will be offered to clients aged 4 to 25 who have a formal diagnosis.

Experience and Knowledge

Qualifications
We are recruiting a qualified counsellor, who has experience working with children and young people with autism and learning difficulties, delivering face to face counselling and carrying out assessments with young people to include working with high risk and complex issues. You will have a graduate or post-graduate level Counselling Diploma, or equivalent, and a minimum of two years post-qualifying experience, CYP IAPT Autism Spectrum Conditions and Learning Disabilities, or CYP Psychological Therapies for autism and learning disabilities (renamed in 2025). You will also need to be BACP Registered/Accredited or registered with another recognised professional body (e.g. HPC, UKCP).
The successful applicant will have experience of managing risk, with effective communication around safeguarding procedures. You will also have experience of multi-disciplinary team working and knowledge of local statutory and voluntary agencies. You will also have experience of using electronic database for case management notes and administrative tasks to include monitoring and evaluation.

Background Information and Purpose of Post
This post is a pivotal role in enabling HI UK to maximise our income from individual donors, regular donors and other supporters, via excellent donor care and accurate, up-to-date data.
The purpose of the post is to:
· process donor data and donations accurately and efficiently into the fundraising database.
· help HI UK provide a first-class experience to its supporters
· provide administrative support to the Fundraising Manager and the Individual Giving team
· manage volunteers where appropriate on a day-to-day basis and provide ongoing training and support
· support the IGC team with social media and content production.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Data entry
· Input donations, pledges and other donor data into the fundraising database (Advantage Fundraiser) and assess the accuracy and validity of the data.
· Input and set up regular donations accurately.
· Reconcile finances at the end of each month with the support of the Fundraising Manager
· Manage and maintain up to date records for Gift Aid.
· General database housekeeping tasks.
· Compile and present accurate queries and reports as needed by the team.
Donor care and communications
· Be the first point of contact for all existing and prospective donors and represent HI UK in an efficient, effective and professional way.
· Provide individual donor care, including answering queries and dealing with complaints.
· Draft, produce and send written correspondence such as emails, thank you letters and other relevant documents for donors.
· Review and update call-handling procedures for use by all staff members.
· Improve knowledge and understanding of supporters and develop donor relationships.
· Ensure compliance with GDPR and other data protection legislation in all processes and activities.
· Work with the Media Officer to maintain HIUK’s social media presence to increase supporter engagement in line with our Individual Giving and Communications strategy.
· Respond to enquiries via social media and moderate comments.
Administrative support
· Provide general administrative support to the Individual Giving and Communications team.
· Contribute to the development and implementation of effective processes and automation between the Fundraising, Communication and Finance team members.
· Review and update Fundraising and Database guidelines.
· Maintain an efficient record-keeping system for donation forms, including saving electronic copies of donations and Gift Aid declarations.
· Resolve queries about donations (e.g. unsigned cheques).
· Support the weekly reconciliation of donations with the Finance department (i.e. ensuring that what is banked matches the fundraising database).
Volunteers
· Assist with the recruitment and induction of Fundraising volunteers.
· Support, guide and supervise fundraising volunteers on a daily basis.
· Work with volunteers to manage stationary and stock levels.
Other
· Participate in internal/external meetings and other functions as necessary.
· Undertake any other reasonable duty consistent with the nature of the job and its level of responsibility.

About the role:
This role is based at our National Contact Centre in Cardiff. There will be an initial induction period that will run Monday to Friday 9am-5pm for a 4 week period. After successfully completing your induction, you will move to your fixed rota hours.
As a Helpline Adviser you will:
- Able to respond to victims of and those affected by crime by providing emotional support, information and referrals on to Victim Support services and other agencies

Tackling social and spiritual poverty across Brighton and Hove

We are looking for someone to lead our home energy retrofit services, instilling a culture of high performance and outstanding results. You will have retrofit experience which will help to build our paid-for whole-house retrofit services, secure funding through publicly funded programmes and identify wider funding opportunities. Working with the Director of Household Energy Services (HES) and as a member of the HES Leadership Team, you will deliver a clear vision and strategic direction for the retrofit team. You will also participate as a member of the wider Senior Management Team (SMT).
Pay and conditions
- The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) however, we are prepared to be flexible and will accept offers from those who would prefer part time work of 30 hours.
- The salary will be £48,726 to £58,365.
- You will be entitled to 25 days paid holiday (plus statutory holidays).

Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- Oversee key aspects of retrofit delivery in the HES portfolio, including resource utilisation and workload planning, project monitoring and evaluation.
- Ensure retrofit staff in the HES team remain utilised by other departments and are sufficiently supported to deliver their work and reach their potential.
- Ensure that organisational planning systems are up to date and provide an accurate report to the Director of HES and the SMT.
