About the PVRI
We’re a small charity with a global reach and an important purpose: to reduce the burden of pulmonary vascular disease (PVD) - a serious condition that can lead to heart damage and trigger symptoms like breathlessness, chest pain, fatigue, poor growth, fainting, and light-headedness. PVD can reduce both quality of life and length of life, but it isn’t widely recognised or well-understood.

Our aim is to improve clinical care, education, and PVD research. To do this, we bring together an international network of thousands of clinicians, scientists, academics, and industry partners supported by our small team based in Bermondsey, London. We are seeking a Marketing Officer to help grow and service the charity's profile and international membership, increase the value of our membership offer, increase our income generation, work with the team to run successful events, and deliver our e-learning programmes. You’ll help ensure our members are informed about the latest developments and learning opportunities, and they’re valued for their contributions to the PVRI. No two days are the same. One day, you might be writing content for our website and social media channels, and the next, you might be welcoming respected speakers and attendees from over 30 countries to our scientific webinar.

We are looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail. You’ll need to create successful marketing plans and grow our membership. You will also bring excellent organisational skills and the ability to co-ordinate high-quality webinars.

At an exciting time in JGDR's fundraising, we are looking for volunteering & community fundraising officers to support our communities in North Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire. It is a great opportunity to join a passionate team.

Hours: 35 hours per week (with occasional weekend and evening working as and when the role requires)

Location: This is a hybrid role, with regular travel required across the North Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire regions, including visits to our charity shops and centres. Weekend and evening work will be expected, as and when the role requires. Job summary

We are looking for a proactive, confident and supporter-focused fundraiser to build and manage relations with JGDR’s local community across North Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire.  Working with the Volunteering and Community Fundraising Manager, you will deliver a strategy to grow income and volunteer numbers from the local community. This is a varied role which will cover:

· Stewarding and recruiting supporters undertaking their own fundraising activities, including those taking part in challenge events

· Organising & attending local events to raise awareness and income

· Proactively approaching and working with local &national businesses

· Recruiting and overseeing a network of volunteers who can support income generation in your local area. This role would suit a target-driven, approachable and resourceful fundraiser with ambition and drive – there is plenty of opportunity to make this role your own and drive forward growth in these crucial income streams.

Your role

You will sit in the Volunteering and Community Fundraising team, and report to the Volunteering and Community Fundraising Manager. You will manage your own time to effectively balance both developing and stewarding relationships with individual and corporate supporters in the local area and working through a network of volunteers to deliver fundraising and retail objectives.

You will develop and grow strong relationships with supporters, collaborating with colleagues across the wider organisation to ensure you are offering the best supporter experience you can. Key responsibilities

Community fundraising

· Identify, engage, and steward DIY and community fundraisers, developing strategies to promote fundraising activities in these groups and grow income from your local area

· Proactively pursue local business partnership opportunities, developing a pipeline of potential corporate support and making applications to secure support

· Provide high quality stewardship of supporters, groups and businesses within the community, responding to enquiries in a timely way and ensuring relationships are developed and maintained at a high standard

This is a fixed-term opportunity for an experienced Charity Shop Manager to join our team at our Exeter-based charity.

This new role will combine providing support and/or absence cover to our existing shops, along with getting involved in other opportunities for growth and development across the retail team (e.g. volunteering). Working in the shops may involve working to support the shop manager, or stepping in for them at short notice (and quickly getting to grips with their shop, processes, staff, volunteers and customers). This will be balanced according to business needs.

• Research and submit compelling proposals and applications for high-value grants and donations (5+ figures) to secure income and support long-term sustainability.

The Development Manager will work with the UK Director in our small team in the UK, as well as working closely with colleagues in Paris and Brussels.

Key Responsibilities :

With support from the UK Director, the Development Manager will work collaboratively with the Director and wider UK team and Development colleagues in Paris and Brussels to execute the fundraising strategy in the UK. The Development Manager is a key role in a small team, and will contribute new ideas, networks and results to help us meet our income targets and therefore create more positive impact for children and young people globally. 1. Business Development (65%)

• Lead prospect research and outreach efforts to expand Epic’s prospect donor pool in the UK: monitor the fundraising ecosystem, conduct in-depth prospect research and engage in proactive outreach campaigns through LinkedIn, emailing, digital networking and in-person events. This will include attending early morning and evening events as required.

The Epic UK team is a small but dedicated team. The role requires flexibility and a start-up attitude. About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic team administrator to join our small, friendly and relaxed team at SCONUL, the professional association for academic and research libraries. The team currently works one to two days a week from our modern offices close to Euston station and the remainder of the week from home.

• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, including fluency in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate complex financial and operational information clearly

• IT proficiency and knowledge of CRM systems (Spotlight uses Beacon CRM)

• A commitment to fighting corruption

• Automatic right to work in the UK

Person specification - Desirable: 

• Knowledge of charity audit processes

• Experience of supporting organisational development during a period of growth

• Experience of line management and/or working with HR, finance or IT consultants

• Experience of working with a fundraiser

Working arrangements:

Full-time or 4 days a week (35 or 28 hours) subject to discussion with the suitable candidate. 30 days of annual leave plus public holidays (pro rata if part-time). Remote working from home required, with regular meetings in London. Flexible working, including a nine-day fortnight.
