About the Role:
 
As our Legacy Officer, you will play a vital role in administering UK and international legacy gifts, from notification to final distribution, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely processing. You'll help support income forecasting, estate reviews, and reporting to inform strategic decisions. Working closely with the Legacy Administrator, Legacy Marketing Manager, and global fundraising teams, you'll help integrate legacy administration with broader fundraising goals.
 
The role also involves building strong relationships with executors, solicitors, and international colleagues. For candidates working above 0.6 FTE (22 hours per week), the role will also support legacy marketing campaigns and international programme development.
 
About You:
 
To be successful as our Legacy Officer, you will ideally have experience in UK legacy administration, with the ability to manage a complex caseload efficiently and in line with legal and organisational policies. Strong analytical and forecasting skills, attention to detail in reporting, and excellent written and verbal communication are essential. You should be confident working within a global organisation, with an understanding of cross-cultural dynamics and regional legal frameworks. You'll have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with executors, solicitors, and internal and external stakeholders is key.
 
Experience in international legacy administration or marketing would be an advantage, as would familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce or First Class.

What you'll do:

* Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Manager

Main duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a robust prospect research strategy supporting high-value fundraising across philanthropists, trusts & foundations, and corporates in the UK.
• Work collaboratively with our team in Ireland, to realise the pipeline opportunities for the portfolios across territories and allocate a percentage of time to supporting prospecting for our Ireland-based fundraising colleagues.

• Demonstrable experience in prospect research within a high-value fundraising environment.

In this essential role, you will lead the development and delivery of our inspiring legacy and in-memory fundraising activities. You’ll help our supporters celebrate their loved ones, mark special occasions and make lasting contributions through gifts in wills. Working closely with colleagues across fundraising, communications, and supporter engagement, you’ll ensure that every supporter feels valued, informed, and connected to the impact of their gift.

Your responsibilities will include delivering Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s legacy marketing strategy and in-memory giving programme. You will steward legacy supporters and next of kin with empathy, care, and professionalism. You will also coordinate legacy events, campaigns, and communications with legacy pledgers. In addition, you will manage legacy administration, liaising with solicitors and executors to ensure gifts are handled sensitively and effectively.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be a confident communicator with excellent written and interpersonal skills. You will be organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage sensitive and confidential information. Experience in fundraising, supporter care, or legacy and in-memory giving—or transferable skills from a relevant sector—will be essential. You will also be empathetic and supportive when working with bereaved individuals or those planning for the future.

Experience in legacy administration, event planning, or using CRM systems (e.g. Access Charity CRM, Raiser's Edge or similar) is desirable but not essential – we’re open to candidates who can demonstrate the right values, skills, and potential.

We have a vacancy for housing support and recovery worker based in Oxford city, to provide flexible, proactive and assertive support, to residents of our housing projects, to promote recovery and independence within a positive risk management approach to adults with serious and enduring mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Assessment of mental health needs & risk.
• Creation and management of appropriate strategies to manage risks for individuals and environment.
• Property and housing management including health and safety responsibilities, fire safety checks and arranging repairs to maintain a safe environment.
• Record keeping and administration.
• Formulate and see through plans for residents to move on to more long-term resident accommodation within commissioned timeframes.

Key Skills

• An understanding of the issues for people with mental health issues living in the community.
• Experience of working in a housing or residential setting.

What will I be doing?

• Supporting the translation of marketing delivery plans and budgets into regional cross-channel integrated briefs

• Supporting the Regional Marketing Manager on the delivery of brief outputs, coordinating the brief response, development and approval process

• Working with agencies, freelancers and internal Creative Team to tailor national creative to meet regional audience needs

• Supporting the regional marketing campaign set-up and management process across above-the-line channels, auditing campaign elements prior to launch

• Working in collaboration with Marketing Delivery teams to ensure regional campaigns are integrated with wider marketing programmes and spot opportunities to align activity that delivers improved supporter experiences

• Conducting in-campaign and post-campaign analysis, preparing regular reports and supporting the implementation of optimisation initiatives to improve live campaign activity.

What skills are we looking for?

• Understanding of end-to-end supporter or customer journeys and the role of different channels in fully integrated campaigns

• Experience of developing campaign assets for use across channels

• Ability to prioritise, manage conflicting deadlines, work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks to deadline

• Proven success of good stakeholder management, with the ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively

• Passionate data driven marketer with an interest in regional marketing trends, developments and media planning

Summary of the role

The Legacy and In Memory Fundraiser will develop and lead on strategies to grow two vital income streams. This role will be instrumental in ensuring long-term sustainability for ADSS by inspiring supporters to leave a gift in their will or donate in memory of a loved one.

 

Main purpose of job

The Legacy and In Memory Fundraiser will lead the development and implementation of strategies to grow income from gifts in wills and in-memory donations. With a focus on both acquisition and engagement, this role is centred on building meaningful, compassionate relationships with supporters—encouraging them to consider leaving a legacy or making a donation in tribute to someone special. Through sensitive communication, targeted campaigns, and thoughtful stewardship, the fundraiser will support individuals in honouring their values or the memory of a loved one, while generating essential long-term income to sustain and advance the charity’s work.

 

The Role Responsibilities

· Develop and implement a legacy fundraising strategy to increase pledges and confirmed legacy gifts.

· Inspire legacy giving; create engaging campaigns and materials that encourage supporters to include a gift to ADSS in their will.

· Steward legacy supporters with care, ensuring long-term engagement and loyalty.

· Work closely with legal representatives and executors to ensure timely and sensitive management of legacy gifts.

· Agree and monitor KPI’s and budgets.

• Use supporter data and insight to inform strategies and measure impact.

Donor Database Management:

Edward Gibbons House is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Substance Misuse Worker to support our amazing residents.

Providence Row Housing Association has been helping homeless people in East London since 1860. We provide social housing along with excellent services that aim to support homeless people with complex needs and enable their recovery. We remain committed to our East London roots and currently serve the communities in Tower Hamlets, Hackney and the City of London.

Our Senior Substance Misuse Worker works alongside members of the support team to create a safe and welcoming environment within a psychologically informed environment. You will contribute to the development of the recovery hub, by providing expertise in alcohol and drug misuse. Taking a lead role in delivering training/ advising staff on substance misuse issues, liaison with substance misuse agencies, facilitating multidisciplinary case conferences and negotiating access to detox and treatment services. Carrying out assessments of drug and alcohol usage with key clients, delivering brief and extended interventions, outlining risks, advice on harm minimisation and refer to specialist agencies.

You will also conduct surveys of residents view and opinions, assist with audits and reporting on the service, help to ensure compliance with regulation and best practice, and work with a Support Team which promotes person centred coproduced approaches.

You need to have experience of working with homeless people with complex needs, have a good understanding of strengths, needs, and risks they experience. Be competent with computer systems, and comfortable completing regular performance reports. The Senior Substance Misuse Worker is a day shift based role with evening and weekend working.

GUCE Programme Lead Role

Community Energy is gaining momentum nationally, where people are increasingly coming together to take control of their own energy.  Grand Union Community Energy (GUCE, pronounced “juice”) is looking to see local communities along the Grand Union canal in Hertfordshire enjoy a clean and resilient energy system that benefits all.  We develop, support and promote renewable energy and energy efficiency projects for  communities from Watford to Tring, and build householder resilience by helping them reduce their bills and energy use.

We are seeking a Programme Lead for two days a week to manage the day-to-day running of the team and organisation and keep us on track as we navigate an exciting time of growth and development - supporting us to fulfil our overall objectives. Depending on the skills of the applicant the same individual could also cover aspects of other roles we are looking to fill.

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a person to take on a key role in GUCE’s  small but expanding team. The Programme Lead will be responsible creating a structure and policies for GUCE to grow and hit our mission.

As our Programme Lead you will play a leading role in delivering our contribution to the two-year National Lottery funded project ‘Community Energy People’.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Forecasting finances for GUCE as a whole.

• Report to funders.

• Maintaining a new CRM (Monday) and working with other team members, subcontractors and Board Directors to ensure it’s complete and accurate. 

• Creating and maintaining policies on training, HR, delegated authorities.

• Managing payroll.

• Recruiting new staff and volunteers.

• Coordinating and onboarding volunteers and new staff members or contractors, including overseeing the volunteer journey from ad-hoc conversations to participation e.g. joining the Board or progressing to become a paid member of staff..

• Maintaining, recording, and reporting the metrics and finances for the Community Energy People project.

• Line management of other staff members.

• Framework for connecting and working with sub-groups, e.g. EcoBerko and Watford.

• Updating and maintaining the Business Plan.

Terms and Conditions

Salary: Pro-rated salary for 2 days per week, £13,000 to £20,000 per annum (£34,000 to £51,000 full time equivalent) depending on experience plus 3% pension contribution.

Hours: Average 2 days per week (15 hours). The working hours can be flexible.

Location: Home-working, ideally within the GUCE catchment area from Watford to Tring.

You will need to travel to meet stakeholders, attend relevant meetings and visit potential sites. You may be called upon to work outside office hours.  Reasonable travel expenses will be covered and the job holder would be expected to provide their own method of travel.

Contractual arrangements: 12 months fixed term with the option to extend, subject to 3 months’ probation.

There is a notice period of four weeks from both sides

Holidays: The equivalent of 28 days per annum excluding Bank Holidays, pro-rata for the part-time nature of the post.
