1. Role Purpose
A key element of Trussell’s high value income is from individual donors and Trusts, who support our work and mission. The Philanthropy Officer is accountable for managing a caseload of trusts and major donors who are giving up to £10k annually, stewarding them effectively to help secure income to fund Trussell’s work.

About the role
You’ll be the main contact for the national training team providing support directly to kinship carers, training facilitators and others relating to the access and delivery of training events and workshops.

About the Role
Depaul UK is on a mission to give every young person facing homelessness a safe place to call home, and as our Corporate New Business Officer, you’ll be at the forefront of building partnerships that make this possible. You’ll drive new corporate relationships, create engaging pitches, support high‑value bids and help shape standout supporter experiences that inspire organisations across the UK to get involved.
In this fast‑moving, relationship‑focused role, you’ll grow our corporate pipeline, spot opportunities, and confidently lead meetings with partners of all sizes. Your communication skills, fundraising experience and proactive approach will directly fuel our ability to reach ambitious goals and strengthen our impact nationwide.

What we are looking for from you (Person Specification)

In the 1980s, high unemployment and steep inflation was contributing to a shocking rise in youth homelessness across London. Thousands of young people were sleeping rough every night, with many areas notoriously dubbed “cardboard cities” due to the visible rise in street homelessness. Appalled by the scenes playing out across the capital, a group of people came together to tackle the challenge head on. Led by Cardinal Basil Hume and Mark McGreevy OBE, in 1989 Depaul UK was born.
What began as a single housing project in North London soon expanded across London, Greater Manchester and the North East of England. Today, Depaul UK provides accommodation, prevention and support services to thousands of marginalised young people across the UK each year.
As our name suggests, the work of Depaul UK has been inspired by St. Vincent de Paul – a man who devoted his life to helping vast numbers of people throughout the 17th century.
