The Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth) is a membership organisation and the voice of the profession, with over 4,000 members in the UK and overseas. Job Purpose
As part of the four strong events team, this role is responsible for coordinating the delivery of numerous educational events throughout the year. These events support the clinical and non-clinical skills and professional development of our members as key components of lifelong learning and improvement.
In addition, the role will support the Events Manager in the administration of the showcase Annual Congress as well as the Admissions Ceremony. As part of the team, you will also assist other team members as necessary.
Main Purpose and Deliverables
- Delivery of the Training the Trainers Courses (TTT) and Certificate of eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) Courses.
- End to end event, speaker and customer support specifically for the TTT and CESR events and as delegated for the education and seminar programme.
- Assist in the management of the education and seminar programme as well as the Admissions Ceremony with the Events Manager.
- Management of Congress registration.
Main responsibilities
- Liaising with the comms team to market events.
- Respond to all enquiries.
- Manage the online course booking process (this includes payments receipts, etc.)
- Send out event information to attendees.
- Produce feedback and collate the information.
- Send out course completion or attendance certificates.
- Book all rooms as required and catering.
- Organise speakers for events, liaising with relevant stakeholders.
- Book the speakers’ hotel accommodation.
- Maintain the relevant sections on the College website.
- Maintain the database for relevant faculty and facilitators.
- Maintain, in liaison with each TTT Lead, the material to be used for pre-learning and throughout the courses.
- Check and sign off expenses from trainers attending courses.
- Provide administrative support for Ophthalmic Practitioner (OPT) TTT courses.
- Produce delegate and speaker registers.
- Timely uploading of talks on site.
- Be the main point of contact for speakers and chairs during the event.
Management of Congress registration
- Responsibility for the management of the Congress registration process, working with the Events Manager to the agreed event delivery schedule.
- Set up prices on the Eventsforce database.
- Update congress website with prices.
- Deal with all queries relating to registration.
- Update delegate records and information on the Eventsforce database.
- Add speaker registration and bulk registrations from sponsors.
- Management of on-site registration during the four days of Congress.
- Supervision of other staff members on registration desk.
- Deal with on-site queries and responding appropriately.
- Develop and send out feedback form, collate feedback and distribute.
- Produce the CPD template and send to all delegates who attended.
Support the Skills Co-ordinator/ Skills and Events Administrator when required
- To provide support to trainers on skills courses.
- To set up courses in the absence of the Skills Co-ordinator which includes running courses, cleaning up the skills centre and associated duties undertaken normally by the Skills Co-ordinator.
Other duties
- Assist in the administration of the Admissions Ceremony.
- Some travel is expected, including attendance at events and overnight stays. Working outside normal hours may also be required from time to time.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Events Manager or Head of Education, Training and Events.

Responsibilities:

· Work with the Membership Manager to ensure a straightforward renewals process, this includes sending email and postal renewal communications, updating lapsed memberships and taking credit and debit card payments.

· Assemble and dispatch Welcome Packs to new members.

People Team Advisor
Job Role:
We need an exceptional People Team Advisor. This is a key post in supporting the management and staff of the FEC. The Forces Employment Charity to be effective in their roles and provide the very best quality of provision to our external delivery. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the provision of a high-quality People (HR) service to all stakeholders in all employee life cycle in generalist capacity including resource, employee relations, learning & development, and reward, in accordance with the consistent application of charity policies and procedures and compliance with employment law and best practice.
- Produce employment contracts and variation to contracts in line with authorised management requests.
- Manage and Support onboarding processes with People Administrator.
- Work closely with the People and Payroll Department to ensure workforce information is kept up to date, employment changes are notified, and any problems identified and addressed.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Director of Global Mission, this focal coordinating role within our Global Mission Team (GMT) will ensure the effective functioning of the GMT by offering:

The Opportunity
This role sits within our Evaluation unit in our Impact Partnerships team, who work with education organisations such as charities, universities and education technology companies (our ‘impact partners’). Our work focuses on helping these organisations to design and deliver evaluations, and to build their capacity for impact evaluation.
We are looking for a candidate who can support the team internally with a variety of delivery and administrative processes, working directly with our schools and partners to support their evaluation journey. This will include supporting new schools through their onboarding and data collection processes and monitoring their usage of our digital platform, the School Impact Platform. You will also be responsible for liaising with schools to schedule focus groups with teachers and pupils and organise these events accordingly, and supporting colleagues with facilitating data collection and analysis, which will include reporting processes and creating surveys which form part of our evaluation work with schools.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to apply for our new professional development pathway, launching this summer. On this two-year scheme, a small cohort will rotate between our practices, gaining wider experience within strategy, evaluation and operational development within the education and social enterprise space.
About You

Digital CRM Migration Specialist
We have an exciting opportunity with a 12-month fixed term contract where we are looking for an experienced digital marketer who is process and data driven. This role is integral to migrating digital systems and processes to a new CRM database, improving them as we optimise new functionality. This is working as part of a transformational project team to ensure Mencap is set for the future for supporter engagement.
As the Digital CRM Migration Specialist, you will be responsible for defining digital data points and mapping digital data flows through to the new CRM and Marketing Cloud.
