Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management

• Lead, supervise, and support a small team of play and youth workers and volunteers.
• Provide regular supervision, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative working environment that reflects Doorstep’s values.

Programme Planning and Delivery

• Design, plan, and deliver a varied programme of play, creative, and youth activities for children and young people aged 0–18 years.
• Ensure all activities are engaging, developmentally appropriate, and responsive to the needs and interests of participants.
• Encourage children and young people to express themselves, build confidence, and develop positive relationships.
• Plan and oversee trips, events, and holiday programmes, ensuring safety and inclusivity at all times.

Safeguarding and Wellbeing

• To fulfill the statutory responsibilities of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people involved in Doorstep’s services.
• Ensure staff and volunteers follow safeguarding procedures and receive appropriate training.
• Respond appropriately to any concerns, working in partnership with relevant agencies where necessary.

Partnership and Family Engagement

• Build positive, trusting relationships with parents, carers, and families, encouraging their involvement in children’s play and learning.
• Work collaboratively with other professionals and partner organisations to enhance support for families.
• Represent Doorstep at relevant meetings, forums, and networks to share best practice and strengthen partnerships.

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Administration

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and outcomes in line with organisational requirements.
• Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes to demonstrate impact and inform future development.
• Support funding applications and project reports by providing relevant data and case studies.

General Duties

About You

Experience and Knowledge

• Relevant qualification in playwork, youth work, early years, or a related field (Level 3 or above) or equivalent.
• Significant experience of planning, delivering, and evaluating play and youth activities for children and young people aged 0–18 years.
• Experience of supervising or managing staff and/or volunteers within a play, youth, or community setting.
• Strong understanding of child development and the role of play in supporting wellbeing, resilience, and growth.
• Sound knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
• Experience of working with families facing disadvantage, housing instability, or other complex challenges.
• Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion, and commitment to anti-discriminatory practice.

Summary and key purpose

This new role will be primarily responsible for developing, marketing and managing our individual giving together with working across other fundraising disciplines. You will be a key member of our fundraising team, producing compelling fundraising communications, stewarding individual donors, including regular donors and gifts in memory. You will ensure that our donors receive excellent care.

Our Individual Giving programme will incorporate one-off donations, regular giving, digital fundraising, appeals and in-memory giving. You will do this, with the support of our recently appointed fundraising agency, who you will manage our relationship with week by week.

A critical element of the role will be how we market ourselves to potential new donors, taking them on an emotional engagement journey in order to solicit regular gifts.

Your expertise and skills:

To excel in this role, you will need prior experience of working in a fundraising setting, with an understanding of good stewardship practices. You should be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, working across teams and meeting multiple deadlines. Your excellent relationship management skills will enable you to effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders and gather information on new projects. You must have a thorough understanding of individual giving, developing donor journeys and experience of work with agencies.

Key responsibilities:

• Day-to-day management of the regular giving programme, project managing appeals and overseeing the thanking process for individual donors.
• Create, plan, deliver and evaluate multi-channel, compliant, insight-led, supporter-centric campaigns to engage and drive action from new and existing supporters.
• Manage our newly appointed fundraising agency, and in doing so, help deliver an ambitious appeal programme and income target.

About the role

Solace Women’s Aid is delighted to be the lead partner for this innovative cross-borough project, funded by MOPAC. We are looking for an experienced, dynamic Psychologist to use their knowledge and skills in psychological theory and practice to support non-clinical advocates working with women experiencing VAWG and severe and multiple disadvantage.

About you

You will have experience working as a clinical, counselling or forensic psychologist. Your role will include fostering trauma-informed practice in the project, providing clinical support to non-clinical advocates through conducting ongoing Reflective Practice and clinical supervision.

You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the intersection between severe and multiple disadvantage and VAWG and a strong understanding of how this can make it difficult for women to engage with support. You will have worked with people experiencing various aspects of severe and multiple disadvantage: homelessness, substance use, mental health issues, insecure immigration status, prostitution, offending history and children taken into Care.

• Six self-contained properties forming the emergency accommodation element of the service.

We are seeking a Night Support Worker for the Supported Accommodation element of this service.

Our properties are places of safety, Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE), from which we work with individuals. The Principal Practice Tutor will play a leading role in and delivering Frontline’s Approach Social Work programme, a fast-track master’s in social work.  This is an exciting role for someone who wishes to combine management and leadership responsibilities whilst keeping a close connection to the work of their team by working directly with participants on the programme.

Homelessness isn’t just about losing a home—it’s about losing stability, security, and often, hope. We are recruiting a Complex Needs Practitioner to support individuals experiencing rough sleeping across the Wirral. You will work as part of a small and dedicated team of outreach workers seeking out and supporting those in our community experiencing homelessness. Provide outreach support, working flexibly across community locations with a central hub based at our head office in Birkenhead.

• Keeping in touch with known rough sleepers in the area and acting as their key point of contact for seeking out accommodation.
• Providing emergency support and referrals for those in crisis.
• Connecting rough sleepers with essential services, professionals, and community networks.

• Inspiring change and making a lasting difference in people’s lives.

About the Role

We’re looking for a dynamic and organised Education Officer who will play a vital role in inspiring children and families to connect with nature through engaging outdoor learning experiences. They will deliver a dynamic annual programme of curriculum-linked environmental education sessions and wild play activities across the region, with a particular focus on Birmingham. This role supports the development of lifelong connections to nature by bringing learning to life in local green spaces and nature reserves. to support the planning and delivery of events and engagement activities across our sites and communities. Job Summary

We’re looking for a creative and forward-thinking Communications and Content Producer to join the team at Christianity Explored. You’ll play a key role in how we help churches, ministry organisations, and individuals discover and share the good news of Jesus through fresh, imaginative communication.

From digital campaigns and short films to print materials and event resources, you’ll create content that captures attention, builds confidence, and inspires people to explore faith. You’ll manage our online platforms, craft stories that connect across audiences, and experiment with new ways to help churches communicate the gospel with clarity and impact.

We’re looking for someone who combines strong writing and design instincts with a curiosity for what’s next - someone who’s eager to push creative boundaries while staying rooted in our mission. You’ll thrive in a small, collaborative team where ideas move quickly and every piece of content is part of the bigger story.

Key duties and responsibilities

Content Creation & Design

• Write, design, and produce compelling marketing, fundraising and supporter materials that reflect our mission and engage our audiences (eg, brochures, flyers, presentations, promotional materials and prayer letters).
• Create eye-catching and effective print and digital designs in-house, ensuring brand consistency across all materials.

Social media management

• Manage and populate our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn etc) with engaging, mission-aligned content.
• Plan and schedule content calendars, track performance and adjust strategies based on engagement metrics.
• Create visuals and copy that resonate with church leaders, Christian individuals, donors and broader audiences.

Fundraising support

• Write and distribute our monthly email newsletter to supporters, churches and ministry partners.
• Collaborate with other team members to gather relevant updates, stories and resources to share with supporters.
• Working with the Director of Fundraising write and design case for support materials and reports.

Event and conference support

• Design flyers, banners and supporting materials for conferences, exhibitions and training events.
• Coordinate with event organisers to ensure promotional needs are met in a timely and effective way.
• Support Director of Product Development and Director of Fundraising to staff and run in-house CEM promotional and supporter events.

Administrative Tasks

• Maintain project documentation and records
• Coordinate in-house and external meetings 
• Handle administrative tasks as and when required

Key skills and experience

• Strong writing and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail and tone.
• Strong story-telling skills to help donors connect with our work and inspire meaningful action
• Proficiency in graphic design and video editing software (eg, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Davinci Resolve or similar).
• Experience managing social media accounts and creating content that drives engagement.
• Familiarity with HubSpot or similar email marketing platform.
• Good organisational and project management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team.
• Understanding of and alignment with the mission of Christianity Explored Ministries.

Desirable (but not essential)

The Coach’s role will be to engage with our adult beneficiaries, supporting them to identify and achieve their aspirations for themselves and for their families.

Home-Start Barnet, Brent and Harrow is a dynamic local charity supporting families with young children through challenging times. Our volunteers and staff offer emotional and practical support to help parents build confidence, strengthen relationships and give their children the best start in life.

We’re looking for a Family Engagement Coordinator to join our School Readiness project in Grahame Park, Barnet. You’ll be part of a friendly team at Home-Start Barnet, working closely with colleagues and partners at Barnet Mencap to support families who are just starting their journey with the education system.

In this role, you’ll help us reach families who may be facing extra challenges or need more personalised support. You’ll spend time building strong, trusting relationships with local primary schools and become a familiar, welcoming presence within their school communities. Your work will help ensure that parents feel informed, supported and ready to help their children thrive as they start school.

The common thread throughout the project is the engagement of families and the parent volunteers, who widen the supportive “community” around the families, and connect the school to the home, and the partners to each other. Approximately 70% of this role will be based in local schools in Grahame Park.

As our Family Engagement Coordinator, you will:

• Build strong relationships with primary schools in Grahame Park, in Barnet.
• Promote Home-Start’s services through school and community events.
• Support communication between schools, families and partner agencies.
• Share updates through newsletters, WhatsApp, email and community channels.
• Signpost families to local services and activities that support wellbeing.
• Receive referrals and assess family needs.
• Deliver school-readiness workshops and parenting groups.

About You

This role will offer a personalised approach to accessing welfare and housing-related advice and information, through casework, workshops and advice surgeries.

• Provide welfare benefits and housing advice to support people with mental health challenges to live independently in the community.
• Help clients understand and resolve issues related to welfare benefits and ensure they receive their correct entitlements.
• Run workshops, groups, and advice surgeries on welfare benefits and related topics, such as money management.
• Work collaboratively with the Connecting Communities team, mental health services, housing associations, and other providers to support welfare benefits enquiries, referrals, and training needs.
