Purpose of the role:
The purpose of the role is focused on generating and developing monthly management accounts information and providing insight and direction to the Director General and Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the ‘Head of Finance and Organisation Development’, the Management Accountant will play a key role across the business in improving data capture and managing reporting across the team. This role will be on a part time basis of 2 days a week.
This role will suit someone who is looking to join a small, dynamic and growing organisation to run the management reporting process and provide timely and accurate financial management information. Systems experience with ‘Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central’ accounting package would be an added advantage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Preparing monthly management accounts, including comparatives to budgets, trends and forecasts
· Compiling Balance sheet reconciliations
· Preparing quarterly Project ‘Income and Expenditure’ reports for Project Managers
· Preparing interim/final financial Project reports for submission to Funders
· Preparing quarterly VAT returns

Assistant Shop Manager - Nork
You will support the promotion of sustainable shopping and the shop’s social media to increase audience reach, attract customers, donors and volunteer supporters to deliver the Retail Strategy.
Role Requirements
- To maximise shop sales by achieving agreed targets both through donated stock and bought in/new goods. This involves proactive stock generation, optimum pricing, processing stock to agreed amounts and stock planning.
- Achieve Gift Aid sales conversion target through maximising new donor sign up and encouraging repeat donations.

The Role:

The role
The Executive Assistant to CEO & Governance Lead will provide support to the Chief Executive Officer to fulfil her responsibilities and enhance her effectiveness. This will also include working closely with the Board of Trustees and the Senior Leadership Team.
Key responsibilities
- Executive Support & Diary Management: Manage the CEO's diary, prepare for meetings, maintain action logs, and provide proactive support in work planning.
- Governance & Administration: Organise and service Board, Committee, and staff meetings, including agendas, minute-taking, follow-ups on actions, ensuring compliance with governing documents and charity law. The role will line manage a Senior Administrator and facilitate trustee recruitment, induction and development.

The Corporate Team at ARUK has just enjoyed a record-breaking year of fundraising by our corporate partners. We require a proactive and organised colleague to provide the team with vital administrative support.
The successful candidate will support our partnerships with companies such as Dyson, The Perfume Shop, Cadbury, and Slimming World while building excellent relationships with supporters from within those organisations. This role will also support our new business team with their approaches to prospective companies.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract to cover a secondment period. This role will be known internally as Partnership Development Executive – FTC.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Team administrative support
· Provide general administrative support for all members of the team.
· Manage invites and room bookings for Corporate Team meetings.
· Ensure accurate recording keeping through the use of our CRM system.
· Be the main internal point of contact for the Corporate Team.
· Respond to incoming team enquires promptly and professionally.
· Ensure accurate financial records are kept, by reconciling gifts across multiple donation platforms.
· Fundraising stock management and distribution.
· Assisting the team with event planning, including sourcing pricing quotes, raising purchase orders and booking equipment and ordering merchandise.
· Update the team intranet and website pages.
· Post from the Partnership Development team Twitter accounts, monitor LinkedIn for activity by our partners and flag to appropriate team member.
· Update internal group email distribution lists as required.
Securing new partnerships
· Fundraising data management: adding new companies and prospects to ensure accurate records of approaches made by the team.
· Monitor supporter information on the database to generate new leads for the team.
· Generating reports for the New Business team and maintaining accurate records.
· Provide ad hoc support in the lead-up to high-value pitches and applications e.g. prepare materials, book couriers etc.
Supporting our existing partnerships
· Provide a first-class stewardship journey for fundraisers from companies that are supporting the charity. Including making sure they have the materials and resources required to fundraise – preparing and sending information packs, wishing them good luck, drafting letters, and sending thank you messages.
· Work closely with the Central Fundraising Team to ensure a consistent stewardship journey across all audiences.
· Manage online giving pages and our CRM system to make sure corporate supporters are identified and recorded correctly, and their income potential is maximised.
· Monitor the CRM system to make sure that all information about our corporate fundraisers is recorded correctly.
· Filter enquiries from our corporate supporters whilst the Partnership Development Officers are on annual leave to ensure a timely and helpful response.
· Help support event delivery by sourcing volunteers, merchandise, and gifts in kind for events.
· Keep the Partnership Development Officers and Team Managers up to date on feedback from supporters.
· Communicate key fundraising products and communications designed for our Corporate supporters with the Regional team.
· Develop new fundraising idea packs to engage our Corporate supporters and seek appropriate sign off.
Working with others
· Work with our merchandising team for the development and production of event materials as required.
· Liaise with our distribution centre to organise mass mailings of materials needed for pitches and large partnership launches and events.
· Represent the Corporate Partnerships team on working groups for internal projects to ensure the team’s needs are met.
· Work closely with our Supporter Care Team, Central Fundraising Team and Insight & Development teams to make sure that the Corporate Partnership team is following processes correctly and is adopting improved practices where possible.
What we are looking for:
· Confidence working with computers and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Experience using databases.

Additional Information:

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
The sanctuary offers a home-from-home environment for all our residents. Under direction you will be required to always provide and maintain a high standard of care and quality of life for all sanctuary residents in a safe and happy environment. To offer love, comfort, stimulation, compassion, stability and security to all residents including the wildlife, ensuring their environment is the perfect sanctuary.
Under direction, you will be responsible for the welfare and happiness of each resident, ensuring the physical and emotional wellbeing of all residents in your charge, through constant interaction, whilst still maintaining consistently high standards of hygiene for each resident and throughout the sanctuary with daily cleaning duties.
There are many physical elements including cleaning, grooming, lifting residents, bending and working outdoors, so the capability to carry out all such tasks is essential.
A love of animals together with the commitment and dedication needed to enrich their time at the sanctuary, during their latter years of life, and for those pets undergoing palliative care is also essential. Full training will be given.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under direction you will be required to:-
i. Care for each resident like your own family, to build bonds with each resident in your charge, to understand each individual character, their likes, dislikes, personality and needs, to be receptive and understanding and have the ability to spot when things are not quite right.
ii. Minimise the trauma to any resident at a time of illness with compassionate care and, if needed, staying with them to reassure and “not clock off” when the shift ends.
iii. Provide stability by way of a routine with regard to meal times, exercise, grooming and cleaning, so all residents feel safe and secure.
iv. Provide meals, ie breakfast, lunch and evening meals as well as any extra meals required for residents’ needs.
v. Ensure bedding, towels and coats are washed, bowls, toys, grooming implements and curtains are cleaned. The living quarters for all residents to be spotlessly clean, utensils washed, floors hoovered and mopped. To be able to add the extra little touches to further enhance their living quarters and surroundings.
vi. Pick up animal waste from rooms, patio areas and whilst out walking and dispose of in a safe and hygienic fashion.
vii. Daily cleaning duties to include outside areas of the sanctuary ie stables, aviaries, paddocks, yards and cat gardens having regard for the general tidiness and cleanliness of the entire sanctuary.
viii. Communicate with all residents throughout your shift, be compassionate, patient, gentle and fun.
ix. Prioritise own workload as well as work within a team, communicate effectively with other team members, give and receive emotional support at difficult times when a resident dies.
x. Meet and greet visitors to the sanctuary as and when required.
xi. Liaise with all other staff of the Trust in a flexible manner.
xii. Be familiar with and adhere to The Trust’s procedures, disciplinary and applicable rules and ensure compliance with legislation (Health and Safety, Data Protection, especially the privacy of members, petitioners and volunteers alike).
xiii. At all times to ensure and maintain a compassionate, professional and efficient public image for the Trust.
