We are looking for a Health Promotion Nurse (Registered Adult Nurse) to join our team in the Northeast of England. Our Cancer Awareness Roadshow plays a vital role in achieving our vision of beating cancer. We travel to the heart of communities talking to over 51,000 people every year about cancer. Our nurses directly reach people most in need, helping people to take steps to reduce their risk of cancer through lifestyle changes and supporting them to maintain those changes lifelong. What will I be doing?

• Working as a core part of our Cancer Awareness team to engage people face-to-face, providing information on cancer prevention, screening and early detection

• Organising and delivering Cancer Awareness presentations and training to community groups and supporting other public health initiatives in our Nurse-led Cancer Awareness activities

• Collecting and inputting data to evaluate local engagement activities

• Getting involved with other Cancer Awareness outreach activity in the local community

• Managing a team of Health Awareness Volunteers and supporting them to be involved with Cancer Awareness activity where appropriate.

What skills are you looking for?

• Registered Nurse - NMC registration is mandatory for this role and must be maintained at all times

• An interest in or experience of at least one of the following: health promotion, practice nursing, occupational health, health visiting, district/community nursing or other qualification/experience

• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to engage people in conversation and to use motivational interviewing techniques

• Proven experience in delivering public-facing work, and a good understanding of the challenges associated with engaging hard to reach groups and addressing health inequalities

• Ability to work flexibly and autonomously

• Understanding of the importance and need for adhering to data protection, quality assurance and other compliance policies at all times

• Excellent written, administration and organisation skills with the ability to keep accurate confidential records

• Willingness to be flexible in regard to working days and hours

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual to establish and lead a community engagement and volunteer programme in an important new visitor attraction in the heart of London. Bevis Marks Synagogue dates back to 1701 and is the oldest synagogue in the UK. You will recruit, motivate and support a team of volunteers and develop a dynamic community engagement programme as part of a small, dedicated team at this special, historic site.

In 2019, Bevis Marks Synagogue received a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant to restore the synagogue and create The Dangoor Heritage Centre. This project displays and interprets the synagogue’s historic collection for the first time, and enhances visitor facilities. The S&P Sephardi Community established the Bevis Marks Synagogue Heritage Foundation (BMSHF) to manage this project and the site's ongoing visitor operations. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic heritage engagement professional to help make Bevis Marks Synagogue a vibrant place of worship that shares its unique story with a wider community of people of all faiths and none.

Bevis Marks Synagogue, completed in 1701, is the oldest synagogue in the UK and the oldest in continuous use in Europe. Its Grade I listed Wren-style design, well-preserved interior and fittings make it exceptionally historically significant. It is still a working synagogue with a community that has been engaged in the development of the new Dangoor Heritage Centre.

The S&P Sephardi Community’s collection of objects, rich archive, and intangible heritage, such as music and traditions, offer a continuous record of Jewish life in Britain since the mid-seventeenth century. The collection is mainly silver and textiles and many items are of national significance, providing rare insights into the practice of Sephardi Jewish worship, and London’s changing fashions and craftsmanship.

Visitors will be welcomed by volunteers and will explore the synagogue and Dangoor Heritage Centre with the help of an audio guide which includes insightful contributions from a number of members of the Bevis Marks community who have participated in the project. Volunteers will also engage visitors throughout the exhibition areas and support our events programme, shop and catering offer and provide a friendly welcoming experience for a wide range of visitors, from within the UK and abroad.

The construction project is set to be completed by early summer 2025, with the exhibition fit-out over the summer and opening is anticipated in autumn 2025.

Hours: 37 hours a week. Two Sundays per month will be required, along with evening and Bank Holiday working as required by the needs of the business.

The Head of Governance will lead the charity’s small Governance and Risk, and Facilities teams. The role would suit someone who enjoys a broad remit and working with colleagues across the charity, who can think around issues and implement pragmatic solutions. We are now recruiting two full-time positions for a Schools Coordinator (Impact Officer) to work as the primary link between partner schools and the CYUK programme.

This youth and education charity empowers diverse 18 to 25-year-olds to tackle educational inequality through a year of full-time volunteering in schools. As mentors, tutors and role models in schools, the charities volunteers support children who are furthest away from opportunity in the UK.

The Role

We have a rewarding opportunity for a School Impact Officer to train, support and develop volunteers and monitor the programme through effective administration, data management and to build a deep partnership between the school and the charity.

The Impact Officer is based predominantly in a school and is the primary link between the partner schools and the programme and is the enabler of the programme delivery.  You will support a team of volunteer mentors, who support school activities by coordinating, managing and evaluating the programme.

The Volunteer Mentors also complete a Leadership and Development programme and you will work with them on a professional development plan to chart their continuous professional development and ready them for employment.

The role is primarily a school-based post from Monday to Thursday and is based in a regional venue on most Fridays. See locations above.

Carriers of Hope is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to lead the logistics and practical support side of our work. This is a key leadership role, responsible for making sure that essential donated goods—food, clothing, furniture, and baby items—are received, organised, and distributed efficiently to the refugee and migrant families we support across Coventry.

You’ll oversee multiple projects, manage a committed team of staff and volunteers, and help shape the systems that make our work possible. From running our warehouse and coordinating van deliveries, to leading the House to Home furniture scheme, this is a hands-on, people-focused role with real impact.

We're looking for someone who brings strong coordination and problem-solving skills, has experience in logistics or operations, and is confident leading a team in a fast-moving environment. You’ll also play a key role in embedding sustainability into everything we do. A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a high-value portfolio, working with a broad range of major donors, trusts and foundations, senior volunteers, and influential stakeholders. You’ll play a vital role in delivering significant income through thoughtful, tailored engagement and stewardship strategies that inspire transformational, multi-year giving.

The role will focus on growing and diversifying their network of major supporters—delivering six- and seven-figure gifts through proactive relationship management, strategic donor engagement, and collaborative internal working. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, Trustees, and external partners to enhance the philanthropic impact and build long-term partnerships that align donor ambitions with the organisation’s goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of high-value donors and prospects, including HNWIs, trusts and foundations, and senior figures such as Ambassadors, Trustees, and the President
• Identify and cultivate new supporters through targeted prospecting, research, events, and networks
• Develop and deliver an engaging stewardship and cultivation programme to foster lasting relationships and secure long-term, transformational gifts
• Collaborate with internal colleagues to shape compelling, tailored cases for support that reflect donor motivations and strategic priorities
• Build strong cross-organisational relationships to ensure cohesive, donor-centred experiences
• Champion a data-informed approach to donor management using CRM and internal systems to track pipeline activity and support reporting
• Represent the philanthropy function across the organisation, championing best practice and ensuring high-value fundraising is embedded and supported
• Ensure compliance with fundraising legislation and maintain the highest standards of ethical fundraising

Key Skills and Experience

Essential

• Significant experience managing major donor and/or trust relationships at six- and seven-figure levels
• Strong track record of securing high-value gifts and meeting or exceeding income targets
• Expertise in developing compelling, high-quality fundraising proposals tailored to donor needs
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
• A strategic, creative thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and solution-focused approach
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp eye for detail
• Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Confident using CRM systems to manage pipelines, analyse data, and support donor stewardship

Desirable

• Experience working with senior volunteers or philanthropic advisers to increase income and influence
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to align across departments
• Financially literate and able to interpret complex impact or income data to inform donor discussions
