About SOS!SEN
SOS!SEN is an independent UK charity dedicated to helping families secure the right educational support for children and young people with SEND. Our team of over 70 volunteers with firsthand experience provides legally-based advice and practical guidance to confidently navigate the SEND system. We support parents, carers, and young people through every phase of their journey. With a 95% success rate at Tribunal and 1,400 helpline calls answered yearly, we empower all children to reach their full potential through the provisions they deserve. We also raise awareness of SEND challenges through training, campaigning, and lobbying, ensuring that legal duties to children are fulfilled.
We’re Looking for an Administrator Volunteer
Location: Remote
Time Commitment: 5+ hours a week
Start Date: February 2025 (flexible)
Join us as an Administrator Volunteer supporting our busy administration team to assist families and individuals navigating SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) challenges. This rewarding role enables you to make a meaningful difference by strengthening our community connections.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficient in IT systems (particularly Microsoft).
- Strong organisational skills.
- Clear written ability with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Work to deadlines and under pressure.
- Good attention to detail.
- Friendly, can-do attitude; ability to work as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing Stripe payments and sending out webinar links; recording transactions on a monthly spreadsheet.
- Printing and posting booklets (if working from the office is viable) and updating the petty cash spreadsheet.
- Managing guest lists for live webinars and sending links to attendees.
- Entering upcoming events on Volunteers SharePoint.
- Updating the PAP waiting list, emailing parents/carers to check their ongoing needs, and recording responses on Apricot.
- Emailing reminders and venue details to parents/carers registered for advice centres on Apricot.
- Chasing overdue invoices and adding notes to Xero.
- Recording monthly advice centre attendance.
- Processing registrations on Apricot and sending follow-up emails.
- Organising digital folders/files.
- Supporting other administrative tasks to ensure the charity runs smoothly.

We are on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated volunteer who has experience of administrative duties, ideally in management but not essential and who can commit to a few hours per week to help us manage our administrative tasks and duties to ensure the smooth running of Remix that will help change young people's lives.

The Professional Development Programme with Quilombo UK runs over a period of 16 weeks, is UNPAID and requires a minimum of 12 hours of commitment per week across Monday and Friday.

The Jawbone Collective seeks a Volunteer Bookkeeping / Financial Recordkeeping support person to join our thriving arts organisation. As we continue to expand activities and our reach across the Southwest of England, we need someone with financial expertise to help strengthen our operational foundation.
You will work remotely alongside our dedicated management team to develop robust financial processes that will support our journey toward becoming a self-sustaining arts organisation. About Us
The Jawbone Collective is a dynamic arts organisation dedicated to nurturing creative voices across the Wessex Region. Founded in 2022, we've evolved from our initial mission of publishing the poetry collections of under represented groups to becoming a comprehensive creative hub offering multiple platforms for artistic expression. Our initiatives include the upcoming Jawbone Journal - May 2025; developing a Substack community, Jawbone Radio for spoken word performances; plus workshops - in person and online; and mentoring programs. Training for our Volunteers
With full training and support, our Helpline Volunteers develop their skills and knowledge, while offering compassionate, real-time support to over 18’s on the phone through our Helpline.
