About the role and you

We are looking for a data professional to support and manage significant changes in the way our charity uses, processes and manages data. Our teams pride themselves on evidence-informed practice, using research and data to enhance their work at every stage. There are elements of our charity’s work which are unique to our field, making our data highly valuable in contributing to the future of preventing child sexual abuse. We collect data all the time: on the individual progress of our clients, the reach of our campaigns and the demand for our support. As part of our new Tech and Data Strategy, we are taking the next stage in our use of data analysis and data science, ensuring that we use our data more effectively and efficiently to support our teams in preventing child sexual abuse.

We are looking for a Data Scientist/Analyst to help us make this change. You will be based in the LFF Research Team, reporting to our Director of Research and Impact.

This role will facilitate better use, processing and management of data across the organisation. It will focus on four areas:

• Data systems and structures
• Data analysis
• Data visualisation
• Data security and compliance

The postholder will work alongside experienced researchers to develop a new portfolio of priority projects to enhance our work. With no fixed task list or assigned service, this role offers the freedom to explore and innovate, identifying where data, data science, and data systems can drive real change.

Title: Data and Reporting Officer – Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) 

Salary: £29,400 to £34,600pa 

Location: UK remote - with occasional travel to Haywards Heath, when required 

Contract: 24-month Fixed Term Contract 

Hours: This is a full-time role with 35 hours per week 

About the role 

Sightsavers work in Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) contributes to a range of public health problems to reduce disparities, lower disease burdens, and build locally owned sustainable health programs. The NTD Data and Reporting Officer sits within the NTD Surveillance unit and provides a single point of contact for programme and country teams on data monitoring and reporting. 

The position will be based in the UK, with occasional travel to Sightsavers headquarters in Haywards Heath, and international travel up to four weeks per year. 

As the NTD Data and Reporting Officer you will help standardise, consolidate and continuously improve directorate Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) tools and processes, maintain data architecture for NTDs, ensuring core organisational data assets are of high quality, cohesive and accessible, and manage secure storage for NTD data reporting. 

Further responsibilities include: 

• Maintain a cross-departmental M&E calendar. 

• Develop and disseminate and track quarterly planning and reporting templates for country office/partners. 

• Quality check data submissions prior to consolidation against organisational data policy. 

• Ensure programme plans (targets) and associated performance data (actuals) are timely and accurately entered in core organisational data systems. 

• Process and analyse large, complex datasets on request for directorate senior management, donors and partners. 

• Conduct detailed reviews of donor reports, narratives and press releases to ensure any referenced data is accurate and appropriately referenced.

• Provide day to day capacity building and support for directorate and country office staff on data monitoring and reporting. 

• Provide ongoing support to licensed NTD data systems, including acting as a first point of contact for the directorate NTD data helpdesk. 

• Participate in NTD programme and team meetings.

Skills and Experience 

As the successful candidate you will possess practical experience or an undergraduate degree in international development, public health, international relations, geography, statistics, or an appropriate equivalent. You will also have excellent English language skills, have an understanding of international development issues and a commitment to equality of opportunity for people with disabilities, and have experience within data reporting and monitoring. 

Further requirements include: 

Essential 

• Excellent problem-solving and analytic skills, with the ability to work with large, complex datasets. 

• Understanding of data privacy and best practices in data security. 

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to identify critical issues and communicate these effectively to colleagues. 

• Able to facilitate group-training sessions, with a focus on programme systems and data, building capacity in developing country contexts in areas relevant to position. 

• Advanced Excel skills, and proficiency with Microsoft suite. 

• Knowledge and understanding of Monitoring and Evaluation reporting. 

• Experience processing and analysing large and complex data sets. 

Desirable 

• Working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese. 

• Experience of working in different countries, preferable within NTDs or the public health sector. 

• Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and data visualisation platforms, such as PowerBI and Tableau.

About this role

Over the past two years, SPANA has made significant investments in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL), culminating in the establishment of an independent MEAL team within the Global Programmes Directorate. Led by the Head of Data Insight and MEAL, this team works collaboratively with the Programme Quality and Development, Animal Health and Welfare and Education, Community Education and SBCC teams to strengthen evidence-based programming and impact measurement.

The MEAL Manager plays a central role in advancing SPANA’s MEAL systems, providing technical expertise and support to SPANA UK staff and over 20 global partners. The role contributes to the design and implementation of MEAL frameworks that effectively measure the organisation’s impact on the health and welfare of working animals. In addition, the MEAL Manager promotes innovative approaches to data use, supports evidence-based learning and line manages the Data Insights Officer.

Contract, location and salary

This is a full-time (34.5 hours per week), permanent role. This role is UK based, hybrid working with regular attendance (approximately 1-2 days per month, or more if preferred) in our London office. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK currently and for the duration of the contract.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Data Engineer to join our growing Data and Insights team. Stewardship is growing in its data capabilities and developing an ever-stronger data led culture. The Data Engineer will support stakeholders, including data analysts, our technology teams, and software developers, to ensure optimal and consistent data delivery. This is a new role within the Programmes Directorate to support the expansion of the Trust’s in-house impact evaluation. The Sutton Trust has an excellent reputation in this field with well-developed theories of change, robust evaluation framework and extensive data and feedback from programme participants. This role will be vital for delivering internal evaluation projects of Sutton Trust programmes, supporting with data collection and management across multiple platforms, contributing to and implementing our impact strategy and developing expertise in data analysis, project management, and data management.

The role will report to the Senior Impact and Evaluation Manager, alongside working with the Systems and Evaluation Manager, and others across the Programmes team.

Main duties

• Working with the team to deliver the Trust’s impact strategy. This includes analysing both qualitative and quantitative data on the Trust’s programmes, creating reports to communicate findings, supporting with the collection and management of impact and engagement data, and supporting on external evaluation projects.

Person Specification

Robertson Bell is pleased to be partnering with Education Support in their search for a Part-Time Finance & Data Manager to join their team in this newly created role, on a 0.8 FTE basis. Education Support is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of teachers and education staff in schools, colleges and universities.

The purpose of the Finance and Data Manager role is to support their financial and operational decision-making processes. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance and Data Systems, this role is responsible for the timely and accurate production of management accounts and data reporting across the organisation. The key duties of the Part-Time Finance & Data Manager are as follows:

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Lead on day-to-day financial operational activity
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with departmental leads.
• Manage accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Assist with year-end audit preparation and liaise with auditors as required.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex data in a clear, concise manner.
• Relationship building skills, both in the team and across the organisation.

This role will officially be based out of their offices in Holloway, however flexible working arrangements are on offer, with up to 60% of the week eligible to be worked from home.

About the role

We are looking for an IT and Data Officer to join our central team, working in collaboration with our services which are our Independent Approved Premises (IAP). You will maintain and support our data systems and IT infrastructure across our services, responsible for managing CRM systems and supporting with first line IT queries which could include ticketing requests, troubleshooting, technical issues, and liaising with internal and external partners to ensure consistent and timely data reporting.

You will work across multiple projects to ensure performance metrics are accurately tracked and communicated, proactively identifying and addressing any data or system related issues. You will support with continuous improvement for the service and wider organisation.

About you

We're looking for someone who is passionate about IT and data, able to utilise this within a practical working environment. You will be confident in using various tools and software with transferrable skills. A Rocha UK is the only national Christian conservation charity in the UK. Our mission is to mobilise Christians and churches to care for the natural world. We do this currently through a number of programmes reaching different parts of the Christian community: Eco Church for local churches, Partners in Action facilitating conservation efforts by Christian land managers, Wild Christian, supporting individuals and households to act on nature, including by campaigning, and our Convening programme, supporting Christian environmental leaders. We also contribute to several networks - Christian and secular - involved in both practical conservation and climate change work, as well as research, policy and campaigning.

Purpose of Job:

To provide excellent supporter care for potential and existing supporters and churches, which encourages them to engage with or deepen their engagement with A Rocha UK. To work with the Data Manager, and with the wider Engagement Team, in developing the supporter experience, helping to grow our supporter base, ensuring the provision of an efficient supporter management system, accurate supporter and income data and other ad hoc duties

The Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA) is the national charity for people affected by cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom. 

We are looking for a Data Officer to join our small, busy team and ensure the data we work with is accurate, complete and up to date.

CLAPA’s Data Officer is responsible for the day-to-day flow of data in and out of the charity’s various systems, including fundraising, marketing and service-use platforms. They ensure this data is captured, formatted and imported in a timely and accurate manner, and assist with data analysis to support everything from funding applications to decisions around organisational strategy.

This post also plays a key role in troubleshooting and development of CLAPA’s data systems and works with staff at all levels of the charity to understand and fulfil their data needs. They will be trained and supported in every aspect of their work by the Digital Product Manager.

The successful candidate will be highly IT-literate, with a strong eye for detail, a passion for hunting down errors, and a good understanding of data management and protection principles. They will enjoy working flexibly with a remote team of dedicated colleagues to find creative solutions to unique problems and support CLAPA’s vision and values.

ActionAid UK is seeking a dynamic and innovative Data Specialist to be part of our IT & Data team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing, improving, and ensuring the quality of our supporter data, which fuels our mission to end poverty and promote human rights globally.

As a Data Specialist, you’ll work closely with our fundraising and communications teams, providing expert guidance on data structures, ensuring data accuracy, and leading improvements in database processes. With your advanced technical skills, you’ll monitor data quality using tools like Dynamics 365 CRM and Postgres, while also proposing innovative solutions to enhance the integrity of our supporter data.  

We are looking for someone with a proven track record in handling large datasets, experience with SQL and Python, and a passion for working collaboratively across teams to support fundraising efforts. We require someone with proven experience in data management, preferably within the non-profit sector, a strong knowledge of data management tools, software and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
