In alignment with SPANA's 2023-2027 strategy and the Global Programmes Department 2025 business plan, the Programme Quality and Delivery (PQD) team is focused on the development of a high quality, innovative portfolio that delivers immediate and lasting change for working animals. 

We are looking for an experienced senior consultant to provide interim strategic support and continuity to our PQD team during a transitional period whilst we recruit for a permanent Head of PQD. 

This is an interim consultancy role focused on delivering key outcomes, offering expert guidance, and ensuring ongoing progress against departmental priorities. The consultant will work closely with the Director of Global Programmes and other team members to contribute to shaping the team’s direction. 

The consultant will be expected to: 

• Provide strategic oversight and guidance across the team’s work; 

• Ensure continued focus on key outcomes and monitor progress; 

• Work with the director of Global Programmes to ensure progress in alignment with SPANA’s strategy and the Global Programmes Department Business Plan.

Scope of role

The Debt Advisor is responsible for providing comprehensive, face-to-face debt advice to over-indebted Londoners, tailored to their specific circumstances. This role involves conducting detailed interviews to understand clients’ financial problems, researching options, and helping clients make informed decisions. The advisor ensures income maximisation and provides ongoing casework support, acting on behalf of clients where necessary. Maintaining up-to-date case records and staying informed about relevant legislation, policies, and procedures are crucial aspects of the role. The Debt Advisor is also expected to complete continuous professional development and contribute to the team’s overall objectives by meeting targets, prioritising workloads, and demonstrating financial efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Accurate, effective and individually tailored advice

• Interviewing those that access our service using sensitive listening and questioning skills to allow them to explain their problem(s) and empower them to set their own priorities.
• Researching and exploring options and implications so that those accessing our service can make informed decisions.
• Ensuring income maximisation through the appropriate take up of income, including those relating to water charges benefits tax and housing.
• Providing in-depth quality advice and on-gong casework, including acting for the client where necessary using appropriate communication skills and channels. 

Detailed case records

• Maintaining detailed case records, ensuring that all work meets all auditing and quality standards and the requirements of the funder.
• Ensuring all case records and written up in a timely manner.

Up-to-date training

• Completing a minimum of 16 hours/ equivalent of technical debt advice DPD accredited training or qualifying activity.
• Maintaining an up-to-date record of all training sessions.

Teamwork

• Work to an agreed work-plan, meeting targets and milestones, whilst prioritising and managing your own workload.
• Be an active member of the team, identifying opportunities for your own development, and demonstrating financial efficiency and value for money throughout your work.
• Compliance with Toynbee Hall policies and procedures, including health and safety.

Essential Criteria:

Experience and Skills:

• Previous experience of providing debt advice
• Hold a valid Money Advice Service accredited qualification in debt advice to level three or higher
• Experience of delivering high quality advice, casework and financial capability sessions to meet targets whilst ensuring collection of data to support funder’s monitoring and reporting requirements
• Have essential IT and telephone skills and ability to use an online based Client Management System (CMS) to deliver advice across multiple channels and maintain case records
• Ability to give and receive feedback objectively and sensitively
• Ability to work as part of a team and be open to receiving feedback and learning from others

A major change project has taken place over the last few years to transform our IT systems and support. We have moved to a cloud solution based on Microsoft 365. To support our internal IT roles, we are supported by a managed service provider who are providing ongoing day-to-day support for all our IT users.

This is an exciting role that will play a key part in the delivery of Cranstoun’s IT and digital strategy. You will support the delivery of major business systems projects and support the day-to-day work of the IT team.

Home-Start Barnet delivers early intervention programmes to families with young children, who have multiple needs and are struggling to cope with the challenges they face. Our trained volunteers provide the emotional support needed to prevent crisis and the practical tools to empower parents and carers to give their children the best start in life.

Role specifics

We are seeking a proactive individual to manage Board and Committee activities, acting as the primary point of contact for all Board-related matters. You will coordinate Board meetings, develop and track governance calendars, and ensure that agendas, minutes, and key decisions are communicated effectively to the Board, ELT, and the wider organisation. Additionally, you will work closely with Directors and Executive Assistants (EAs) to support the management of committee agendas and papers, ensuring a focus on strategic issues.

The role also involves overseeing the preparation, review, and quality control of Board papers, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and timeliness. You will streamline governance processes, provide logistical support for meetings, maintain records, and track actions to ensure compliance with governance standards. Moreover, you will facilitate Board engagement by developing feedback mechanisms and supporting Trustee development, ensuring alignment with Shelter's strategic goals.

The role

We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator to play a crucial role in delivering first class marketing strategies to drive satisfaction, increase revenue and develop lasting engagement for Art Fund's membership (The National Art Pass). This is an exciting opportunity to join the membership team at one of the UK’s leading arts organisations and play a key role in achieving Art Fund’s core mission of helping museums and people share in great art and culture. You will be data & insight driven marketer with experience in customer retention, coordinating multi-channel loyalty programs and building customer journeys via email-marketing tools. As a key member of the National Art Pass marketing team, you will be instrumental in:

• Ensuring the delivery and smooth running of marketing automation membership journeys to support all areas of the membership cycle from onboarding and renewals right the way through to lapsed and win-back programmes

• Coordinating membership e-comms and digital services including defining customer journeys, writing copy and forward planning of email content and regular reporting on results

About the role

This new role will be part of our Supporter Engagement team, which includes Special and Challenge Events Fundraising, Community Fundraising, Individual Giving and Supporter Care. Our Special Events programme has expanded significantly in recent years, and we
have ambitious plans as part of our new three-year strategy. As part of this, we organise a diverse range of fundraising events, including a Comedy Night, Garden Party, Sports Quiz, Carol Service and Gala dinner.

Working closely with the Head of Supporter Engagement, the Special Events Officer will play a key role in developing and managing our special events programme. This includes overseeing multiple aspects of event planning and execution, collaborating with the Marketing and Communications team to produce high-quality event materials and ensuring that every event runs smoothly. Additionally, you will help manage key relationships and maximise fundraising income.

A key focus of this role will be leading the organisation of our annual Carol Service at St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, while also exploring opportunities to develop a new special event that diversifies our income streams and broadens our audience.
You will also stay ahead of industry trends, conducting competitor research and analysis to ensure our events remain innovative, competitive, and appealing to supporters.

Main duties

• Supporting the co-ordination and delivery of our special events programme.
• Manage the core elements of special events delivery such as the co-ordination of auction prizes, guest lists, guest requirements, admin and communications.
• Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to produce event materials including event programmes.
• Support the Philanthropy Officer with the organisation of our annual cultivation event.
• Support the Head of Supporter Engagement to identify opportunities for income growth from special events with the view to develop a new Special event within the portfolio.
• Ensure that appropriate and compliant risk assessment, health and safety procedures, protocols and policies are implemented for all special events.

Key responsibilities

• In conjunction with the Operations Coordinator Manager to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage.
• To participate in internal/external meetings as required, attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.
