Are you a relationship-builder with a passion for making a difference? We’re looking for a Philanthropy Manager to lead our high-net-worth giving strategy, with a special focus on Donor Advised Funds (DAFs). In this role, you’ll build meaningful connections with Wealth Advisors and DAF Managers whose clients have the potential to give £100k or more—all in support of our mission to end animal cruelty.

You’ll work closely with our Senior Manager of Major Gifts and Senior Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Operations to launch and grow our DAF strategy in the UK. Together, you’ll help expand our reach and deepen our impact by engaging generous individuals who share our vision for a more humane world for animals.

Essential Responsibilities 

• Develop and implement ongoing strategies for Humane World for Animals’ growth in private philanthropy amongst wealth advisors, individuals and DAF managers in the UK, ensuring a strong ROI and including setting appropriate KPIs to monitor progress and measure success. 
• Align the UK DAF strategy with the broader high net worth engagement strategy , collaborating with colleagues to maximise impact. 
• Build Humane World for Animals’ UK DAF portfolio: identify, cultivate, solicit and deliver significant relationships and partnerships with wealth advisors and DAF managers. 
• Conduct outreach to wealth advisors outside the Humane World for Animals network who may not yet be familiar with our work and raising our profile with this specific audience, including via networking and events opportunities. 
• Formulate and implement individual strategies for developing key DAF partnerships and initiatives around programmatic priorities, mobilising necessary internal and external resources to ensure all partnerships are effectively executed and partners’ needs are fully met. Includes proposal development work. 
• Act as an internal expert on the DAF landscape within the UK, bringing this to bear when developing proposals and ideas with programmatic staff. 
• Contribute to internal collaboration on breakthrough solutions that can deliver social impact at scale for complex philanthropic relationships which span a variety of mechanisms of giving. 
• Partner across revenue streams (including corporate partnerships, foundations, and major gifts) to maximise and leverage fundraising opportunities. 
• Lead on our high net worth income from individuals;  identify, cultivate, solicit and deliver significant relationships. 
• Develop working relationships with program staff in order to identify funding opportunities and access program information that can be used to cultivate and steward wealth advisors. 
• Stay abreast of key issues and trends in the international aid and wealth advisor community. 
• Use our CRM (ROI Solutions) to track all DAF activity and revenue and activity projection in line with our data protection and privacy policies. 
• Effectively represent Humane World for Animals to external audiences for both fundraising and profile elevation. 
• Identify opportunities to represent Humane World for Animals on panels and events of interest to wealth advisors, including strategising around Humane World for Animals specific-events to engage wealth advisors. 
• Strategic engagement with senior stakeholders to support donor engagement. 

A successful candidate would have strong communication skills—both written and verbal—will be key, along with the ability to connect authentically with a wide range of people. You’ll be confident working independently, but also enjoy collaborating across teams to make things happen. About the role

We have a new and exciting opportunity to work with us as an Evidence Officer, working as part of the Strategy, Impact and Evidence team. 

Sustrans’ Strategy, Impact and Evidence team is a leading centre of excellence in active travel research, monitoring and evaluation and we are recruiting now. As an Evidence Officer, you will work on a range of behaviour change and infrastructure projects, providing monitoring, evaluation, and analytical support. The Strategy, Impact and Evidence teamplays an important part in supporting our vision by providing robust evidence on sustainable and active travel that ultimately influences and shapes policy, practice and behaviour across the UK.

Focusing on monitoring and evaluating the impact of infrastructure and behaviour change programmes, you will work on a range of projects around the UK and be involved in the planning, delivery, analysis and reporting of our monitoring and evaluation work. 

We offer true hybrid working, a flexible mix of working from home and occasional travel to a nearby office hub. There is minimal travel required in this role, however in the course of your work you may have to travel to one of the nominated hubs or project sites if required to do so. 

About you

You should have demonstrable quantitative and/or qualitative analytical skills, and be a competent Excel user or have working knowledge of statistical software, such as R.

As an excellent communicator in both oral and written forms, you will have with the ability to present data and findings clearly. You should also have the capability to find innovative and creative solutions to problems.

You will own some experience of project management as well as delivery of project monitoring and evaluation. You should also have some experience of working and communicating with suppliers, partners and/or clients.

Hand in hand with leading fundraising, you will oversee the Communications team, supporting, developing and monitoring the communications strategy, associated budget, resources, systems, processes and operations. The DRIVE Service Manager will be responsible for mobilising the expansion project across London, working closely with all Boroughs and te Drive Central Team.

The DRIVE Team (Case Managers and Team Leaders) will develop and co-ordinate an individual, multi-modal intervention plan for each Service User, which will incorporate support and/or disruption strategies; a pro-active approach to Service User engagement and commitment to working towards attitudinal and behavioural change, whilst keeping the victim’s safety central to any interventions implemented. The Service Manager will seek to ensure this role is carried out fairly, and take organisational responsibility for risk.

The DRIVE Service Manager will also line manage DRIVE Team Leaders and Case Managers where needed

Management and Development:

· Provide each Team Leader/Case Manager with monthly Case Management Supervision.

· As part of the monthly Case management supervision process, the Team Leaders and Case Manager should be given the opportunity to discuss Service User cases; exploring concerns, reviewing assessment decisions and developing a collaborative individual intervention plan.

· Ensure that the service is managed in accordance with its governing documents from the DRIVE case management manual.

· Provide annual appraisal and regular support and supervision reviews to ensure that great performance is recognised; and that poor performance, and welfare issues affecting performance, are addressed. Offering Clinical Supervision as necessary.

· Support, manage and develop Team Leaders and Case Managers, promoting wellbeing and growth within their roles.

· Ensure Team Leaders and Case Managers maintain safeguarding training up to date in line with local protocols.

· Ensure Team Leaders and Case Managers attend all training delivered by RESPECT and other relevant training.

· Ensure that all safeguarding and critical incidents are reported in a timely manner following the appropriate protocols.

Management and Performance:

· Provide routine reports to the Project Director, funders and stakeholders so that they can assess the overall performance of the service.

· To ensure that the required data is recorded on the Drive case management system, so that the evaluation, performance management and service learning is maximised.

· Represent the service at local and national events; deliver training and presentations as appropriate in partnership with the Project Director.

· Contribute to the learning from the Drive Pilot through service reviews, working with the Drive Evaluators, supporting the Drive Partnership in addressing implementation and ongoing delivery

Strategic Management

· Develop and maintain links with other agencies, both as an individual and as a service; developing protocols, referral procedures, skills sharing and joint working with external partners as appropriate.

· Attend and partake the Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Panel (DAPP) and MARAC meetings.

· Develop and maintain effective links with other agencies, attending strategic and operational working groups as appropriate.

· Demonstrate a proactive approach to resolving barriers to achieving the Drive objectives with other professionals and services.

· Share best practice with other Service Managers to further develop the role and the Drive project in general.

· Work with the Director, Practice Adviser, Steering Group and Drive Project Evaluators to maximise learning from the pilot sites and modify the model according to findings from data on what is proving effective.

· Develop and share ideas for service innovation, exploring options for implementation locally and informing the potential for national roll-out on conclusion of the pilot phase.

Recording and administrative tasks:

· Supervision sessions will be recorded on the Case Management Supervision pro- forma, and form part of the quality assurance and staff support and supervision processes as well as informing the personal and professional development of the Team leader Case Manager.

· Ensure that Team Leader and Case Managers’ files and records are accurate and complete, submitted at the appropriate data collection milestones and that both are kept and are in compliance with General Data Protection Regulations 2018 (GDPR), the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and meet IMR (Internal Management Report for Domestic Homicide Reviews DHR) recording standards.

· Maintain an accurate and secure audit trail of all relevant communication in compliance with GDPR 2018.

About the role

Line managed by the Support Services Manager, the Digital Community Officer will deliver key strategic activities that will improve engagement and create sustainable, moderated communities. This role is matrix managed by the Innovation Manager for Strategic Programmes who will support with, and build capacity for, the technical, data and integration aspects of the community platform.

About the team

The Philanthropy Team raises income for Impetus and for Impetus partner charities. The team consists of 16 staff. Impetus has an annual income of £10 million, which we are looking to grow to £12–£14 million within the next few years. The team is led by the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships.

The Philanthropy Team works with major donors, corporates and grant-making trusts, as well as collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure we make a compelling case to generate new financial commitments and wider support for our work. The team also delivers a high-quality engagement programme of volunteering and pro bono support for Impetus’s corporate partners.

In addition to our direct grants, we have several themed funds that support specific areas of our work, currently Connect and Engage, with plans to launch Skills and Attainment. An important part of this role is working closely with the Investment team to shape compelling cases for each fund, and with the Philanthropy team to connect them with the most suitable donors.

Impetus is driven by a shared belief in tackling the barriers that hold back young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in education and employment. Alongside investing extensive financial and non-financial support in our charity partners through our Investment Team, we also seek to influence decision makers to design and implement evidence-led policy and direct new resources to get young people the support they need through our Public Affairs team. About this role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Philanthropy Team as an interim Events Officer. The successful candidate will be a highly organised individual who has a positive, can-do attitude, who enjoys working independently and as part of a team. ​

Impetus has a successful annual programme of fundraising and cultivation events including the Transforming Lives Dinner, the Impetus Triathlon and Impetus Future Party. We are looking for an Events Officer to support our programme of events, while also working creatively to innovate and improve our practices.​

Reporting to the Head of Events, the Events Officer is an integral part of the Impetus team, supporting our calendar of fundraising and engagement events.​

The Events Officer will be involved in all aspects of events management such liaising with venues and suppliers (catering, production, design), working with sponsors, event marketing, guest management and finance tracking. This is a role that will allow the postholder to take a high level of ownership for the sections assigned to them.​

You will join a small, passionate and hardworking Philanthropy team.

As part of the role, you will be required to attend in person meetings and our key fundraising events. Currently scheduled are:

Key responsibilities

Event Delivery

• Work with the Head of Events and Events Manager on all Impetus’s major fundraising events, including the Transforming Lives Dinner, the Impetus Triathlon and the Impetus Futures Summer Party.
• Support our calendar of cultivation events such as the Pro Bono Breakfast and Philanthropy Breakfasts.
• Support research and planning of the annual events programme in line with the wider organisational strategy and objectives.
• Assist the Head of Events with on-site event management for all Impetus events.
• Source auction and raffle prizes, management of auction software and fulfilment of prizes.

Event Administration

• Manage the administration of all events, including invitation lists, invoices and general enquiries, working with the Head of Events to improve processes
• Responsible for managing all guest RSVPs across events, keeping guestlists up to date and accurately tracking responses on our CRM system
• Organise all administration resources for events, including name badges, delegate lists and signage
• Support the creation of post event reports, analysing data from each event and trends across previous years for the Philanthropy Team and wider organisation
• Supporting with invoicing, accounting, expenditures and financial reconciliation and assist with monthly reporting on income to Finance
• Proactively use our CRM system to manage event data

Team Support

 Supporter Services

•  Lead the development and delivery of the new supporter services function considering people (capability, capacity and culture), processes, tools and technologies needed to deliver outstanding customer service so new and existing supporters feel valued and connected to the ESU’s mission.
• Design and implement supporter recruitment, development and retention plans including welcome journeys and approaches for reactivating dormant supporters.
• Work closely with the Marketing team to create segmented messaging to highlight the impact and value of the ESU’s work to Alumni, Members and Volunteers in the UK.
• Oversee payment processes and supporter payment journeys on our CRM, Salesforce.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

• 5+ years experience working in a partnerships, supporter services, volunteering or account management role

As Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the design, delivery, and oversight of behaviour change and engagement projects, as well as leading and supporting the delivery team. You’ll be at the heart of creating positive change, ensuring projects are cost-efficient, timely, and impactful. 

You will be involved with exciting projects such as Wheels4Me London and Moveability (East Sussex) funded by the Motability Foundation. Exploring how cities can improve accessibility by involving disabled people in decision-making, with the goal of creating more inclusive and equitable transportation systems. 

This role will require travel and work at various locations across London and the Southeast area as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.
