   Manage HHA’s social media, website, email newsletters, and supporter communications to engage diverse audiences and grow HHA’s reach.

What does the role involve?

The Membership and Awards Assistant is a new role in the Membership team at the British Pharmacological Society. The Membership and Awards Assistant will work with the Membership and Awards Manager, other Society staff and the Society’s members to ensure that all aspects of the membership and awards service are operated effectively and efficiently, including membership, awards and travel bursary applications, member renewals and progression, and election to Fellowship and Honorary Fellowship.

Our Location

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. The Account and Support Manager will be responsible for working with the Upshot team to deliver high quality customer service to all clients. They will manage the implementation of the Upshot system for new clients, deal with customer support queries and manage contract renewals for existing clients. The role enables the candidate to work closely with a range of audiences, stakeholders and different charities, sport and non-sport, to help and support them to collect good data and better measure the impact of their community work. 

Remote working from home; The expectation would be that the successful candidate would spend 2 days per week at the House of Sport with Upshot and the remainder working remotely. At times depending on business needs there may be a requirement for more days to be worked in the office. This role also includes periodic travel to client locations to build relationships and deliver training. 

The successful candidate will be managing high-level and detailed relationships with clients and this role will see the successful candidate as a primary point of contact for both new and existing clients of which they are responsible for. 

Beyond their core responsibilities, the Account and Support Manager will also have the opportunity to develop the business more broadly, through identifying potential business development opportunities, partaking in ongoing marketing exercises, discussions around the development of the system and engaging with our wider Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Services. 

The role is varied, providing the unique opportunity to learn the many different skills needed to run a tech start up, under the umbrella of a social enterprise. Account and Support 

Client Onboarding and Training: 

1. Manage the implementation of Upshot for new clients, including analysing clients’ needs and adapting the system to meet    their requirements. 

2. Deliver training to groups of new and existing Upshot users in-person and online.

3. Provide a high-quality customer experience, supporting on designing and producing support materials, such as online           tutorials, guides and documents.

SCOPE OF WORK

1. Grantmaking Due Diligence & Onboarding

• Coordinate the collection, review, and secure storage of due diligence documentation from prospective grantees.

• Assist with risk screening checks and internal reviews in alignment with Purposeful’s grantmaking policies.

• Prepare grantee onboarding documentation, including grant agreements and orientation materials.

• Track submission of required onboarding documents (e.g., bank forms, MoUs, safeguarding policies).

2. Grant Compliance & Documentation

Our partner, a leading international not for profit, seeks an experienced Finance Manager to lead on the financial management of a complex multi-country & multi-grant project. This role will really be suited to someone interested in developing and strengthening systems and processes & providing financial oversight, whilst working with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial management oversight on the project, verifying project-specific transactions and ensuring that financial data is up-to-date; and ensuring adherence to the organisation’s financial policies.
• Lead the project’s annual budgeting and forecasting process, allocating funds across country and global teams & operations.
• Prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial reports for the organisation’s project, including monthly, quarterly, and donor-specific reports for internal and external stakeholders.

OVERVIEW

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising Campaigns & Income Generation

• Work with the Head of Fundraising to plan and deliver our 12-month supporter journey – including fundraising campaigns (online and offline), events and appeals.

• Grow supporter-led community fundraising in the local area.

• Hold a relevant higher education or industry recognised certification or have a minimum of at least 1–2 years' experience in a fundraising, communications, supporter engagement or similar role
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with supporters, partners, or donors
• Experience planning and delivering fundraising campaigns, events, or community initiatives
• Experience using digital tools for fundraising and engagement (e.g. mass email platforms, design tools, giving platforms, CRM systems)
• Experience creating digital content (e.g. website management social media, e-newsletters, case studies)

The Talent Set are delighted to be working with a fantastic education charity to find their Fundraising Manager. The charity offers a flexible working environment, with home-based working, and occasional travel to their office in London.

The charity is embarking on its ambitious next five-year strategy. They are looking to strengthen the team with a talented and ambitious Fundraising Manager. Your role will support the Head of Fundraising, CEO and wider team to develop new sources of high value support, working flexibly across trusts and foundations, corporate and philanthropic fundraising.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a knack for identifying funding opportunities and discovering new prospects. You’ll contribute your ideas and initiative to develop and deliver compelling engagement opportunities for current and potential supporters, and lead on reporting impact to funders. Ultimately the post-holder is expected to grow in this role, to manage their own portfolio of high value donors.

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Research and develop a qualified pipeline of trust/foundation and corporate prospects to ensure achievement of voluntary income targets in 2027/28 and beyond. 
• Draft winning funding bids and support the Head of Fundraising and/or CEO to develop compelling proposals and/or pitches. 
• Support and manage the CEO to lead relationships with funders and prospects.
• Lead on managing the funder reporting cycle and ensuring we deliver on our funding agreements, producing timely and inspiring impact reports.
• Drive awareness and understanding of fundraising internally by making connections with colleagues across the organisation and working collaboratively to support achieving fundraising goals. 
• Maintain the quality of data in the fundraising team CRM (Salesforce), managing contacts and pipelines through the database and producing accessible reports on fundraising performance and forecasts. 

Person Specification:
 

• Previous high value fundraising experience (trusts and foundations, corporates or philanthropy), with a track record of successfully securing significant donations and achieving income targets.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a varied workload, deliver to deadlines, and successfully manage multiple work streams and projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, with the confidence and evidenced ability to be able to nurture and maintain successful relationships with high value external stakeholders and senior colleagues. 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an ability to translate complex projects and/or ideas into accessible and persuasive narratives that inspire and motivate. 
• The instincts and initiative to spot and seize fundraising opportunities; with the resilience, flexibility and tenacity to guide long term fundraising activities through to successful outcomes. 
• Passionate about reducing educational inequalities and transforming learning and life chances for young people from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

The Baobab Centre works as a non-residential therapeutic community with young asylum seekers and refugees and we are looking for an exceptional candidate with at least two years' experience of working in a busy office environment.

As a member of our non-residential therapeutic community you will participate in the development of meaningful relationships and social learning, constructing a holistic therapeutic environment where all relationships with all members of the community matter.

You will have experience managing a small team, including line management duties. You will be a key part of our multi-professional team and will be responsible for the administrative management of clinical files and supporting the clinical team. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and be willing to participate in the life of the Baobab Community.
