As the Head of Engagement and Communications, you’ll support the Executive Director in leading AMOSSHE as a senior leader. You’ll also act as the Deputy Director, contributing to operational management, strategic development and stepping in for the Executive Director as needed. You’ll have line management responsibilities for members of the team. As well, you’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering impactful communications strategies that drive member engagement, promote AMOSSHE’s events and initiatives, and elevate the organisation’s profile.

Contract type: Permanent, full time (37 hours a week).

Location: Hybrid. Two days (Tuesday and Wednesday) in the office, central London. This is a requirement of the role.

Salary range: £45,000 to £50,000, with an expected starting salary between £45,000 and £47,000, depending on experience.

Kingston Carers' Network (KCN) is an independent charity providing information, advice, advocacy and support to unpaid carers of all ages who are caring for someone with an illness, disability or substance misuse problem.

What is the role?

As a member of our Customer Engagement team, you’ll deliver an exceptional level of customer service for all British Heart Foundation (BHF) customers, and drive an increase in revenue, through inbound and outbound stewardship activity.

You will provide a single point of contact for defibrillator and medical sales, providing advice to both B2B and B2C customers when deciding which device or devices to purchase.

You will improve and develop customer experience by engaging all customers through our stewardship activity, sales activity, and relationship management. You will manage these relationships and will work towards financial and customer satisfaction targets for stewardship.

Working Arrangements

• This part time role 21 hour per week.  Ideally working Wed and Friday and one other day to be negotiated.

About The Role
We are recruiting for a Head of Audience Strategy to join on a permanent contract. This is a home-based role working full-time, 35 hours per week, with occasional travel required for team and stakeholder meetings and events.

The last few years have seen unprecedented growth in the public profile of dementia, driven in part by the growing size, impact and ambition of Alzheimer’s Society – the UK’s leading dementia charity. We now need to ensure that everyone who needs dementia support today can access it, while improving our ability to attract, engage and retain the donors, volunteers and campaigners who so generously give money, time and voice to deliver enduring change. Crucial to this is strategic audience development: driving growth by being clearer about who we need to engage, why, and how.

As Head of Audience Strategy, you will develop a comprehensive strategy that delivers a step-change in the maturity and effectiveness of audience insight at Alzheimer’s Society. Built on a range of high-quality insight, data analysis and modelling, the strategy will reflect the evolving relationship to dementia and our Society among the public and other key external stakeholders.

You will work to identify the priority groups we need to engage to drive sustainable growth across all areas of engagement. You and your team will support teams to develop acquisition and engagement strategies which feel truly audience-led, orchestrating warm supporter communications and journeys which ensure we’re growing the right audiences to meet our objectives.

A priority will be ensuring that teams have the right tools to understand, segment and target their priority audiences. You will also be responsible for supporting teams to generate high-quality evaluations of activity in relation to audience goals – using these to capture new insights that improve our overall understanding and demonstrate the value of your team. At all times, you’ll act as an articulate champion of the power of audience strategy. You will lead senior conversations across the Society about what we know and wish to achieve with our audiences and constantly seek opportunities for your team to support others to enhance their impact and deepen their engagement.

We have provisionally scheduled the first stage of interviews for this role to take place on Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th November.

About you
Joining us, you’ll have experience in developing and implementing audience or engagement strategies, and extensive experience of diverse qualitative and quantitative research methods and data analysis. You will also be able to demonstrate proven ability to synthesise these insights and apply them to all levels of the marketing funnel, across cold and warm audiences.

Crucially, you’ll be able to build positive relationships, influence key stakeholders and use your communication and leadership skills to manage and motivate cross-functional teams. You’ll be able to take a holistic view across the areas you manage and use this insight to contribute to organisational strategy through an audience development lens.

You don’t need to have a background in the charity sector, and you may or may not have a connection to dementia, you might be an accomplished Audience Insight professional looking for progression or be an established senior leader in this area already. We’re interested to hear from you if you feel that your skills and experience could be transferred to this role. What you’ll focus on:

- Developing and implementing a Society-wide audience strategy that demonstrably helps to drive growth by clearly laying out the key groups that Alzheimer’s Society needs to engage (including how and why) to progress different areas of our activity.
- Supporting senior stakeholders to create sub-strategies that help directorates and departments working on specific activities, campaigns, content and channels to clarify their target audiences for engagement (acquisition and retention) to drive growth and impact.

Mind in Enfield and Barnet is a fast-growing charity in North London providing much needed therapy, wellbeing support and advocacy services to people with mental health problems. 

As Marketing Assistant at Mind in Enfield and Barnet you will play a key role in managing digital marketing channels, creating engaging content, and designing promotional materials. The role supports the organisation’s mission to connect with the community, promote mental health services, and increase participation in projects and events. The Marketing Assistant ensures consistent branding and messaging across platforms to effectively engage diverse audiences.

You will have proven experience in managing social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn) for organisational marketing or outreach purposes.

Duties will include:

Graphic Design - Design promotional materials such as leaflets and flyers to support MiEB’s services and projects, ensuring brand consistency and visual appeal.

Social Media Management - Create engaging content and manage MiEB’s presence across social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn to promote services, initiatives, and outreach events.

Newsletter Creation & Campaigns - Develop and design quarterly newsletters for MiEB, and manage distribution campaigns via Mailchimp to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.

Service & Project Promotion - Promote MiEB’s services and initiatives through targeted channels such as email marketing, local press, and other relevant outreach tools to increase visibility and community engagement.

Google Ads Management - Oversee and optimize Google Ads campaigns for both MiEB and DOVE Private Counselling and Psychotherapy, ensuring effective use of budget and maximized reach.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field (Level 3 or above).
• Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
• Certification or training in digital marketing, social media management, or Google Ads (desirable).
• Evidence of continuous professional development in marketing, design, or digital communications (desirable).

Key Responsibilities

Bank reconciliation and cash posting experience
Experience working with large volumes of data.

About the role

In this role you will be part of the Health & Care Quality team, providing administrative and organisational support to the clinical team, which includes nurses, therapists and counsellors.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

• Manage all referrals from centralised inbox, prioritising and forwarding referrals to the relevant team member, or to direct enquiries to more appropriate services if necessary.
• Assess need of each referral and discuss with ‘on call’ nurse/counsellor if it appears urgent or guidance required to establish need.
• Ensure all relevant service user information is available. Calls sometimes required to establish this.
• Input into database (CRM). Ensure information remains updated and relevant.
• Refer to appropriate nurse/ therapist / counsellor according to region.
• Overview that referrals are responded to in a timely manner.
• Manage the Counselling referrals on the CRM including adding clients, updating status and setting up respective client files on the public drive.
• Contact those waiting to access SIA’s counselling service as required, to reassess need and inform of offers or initiatives.
• To liaise between the team and referrers to arrange face-to-face visits as required.
• Admin support with stock level, ordering and distribution of leaflets, booklets, emergency medical cards.
• Arrange and minute internal meetings and training sessions.
