The Fundraising Executive (maternity cover) is a key part of our small but busy Community and Events Fundraising Team, leading on key fundraising events and activities, personally supporting individual fundraisers and giving support to the Senior Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager. Recruitment for an Individual Giving & Community Fundraising Manager is currently underway. Once complete reporting lines will be reviewed.
The post holder will be responsible for:
• Supporting and inspiring all running and challenge and community fundraisers
• Supporting the Senior Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager on special events, including the annual Gala Dinner.
• Managing our community fundraising events and activities, with support from the Individual Giving & Community Manager (once in post).
• Ensuring data relating to fundraising activity above is accurately updated and effectively utilised
The post holder will be an ambitious, creative self-starter who is passionate about World Child Cancer’s programmes as well as our fundraising activities. They will work as well in a team as they do on their own and be happy to undertake administrative tasks as well as more complex fundraising projects. This is a varied and challenging opportunity to develop your fundraising career whilst supporting children with cancer. As a smaller organisation (circa £3m) everyone has to be prepared to support each other, so tasks may vary.
Key responsibilities
• To support the Senior Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager to reach or exceed the annual income target set, within the defined expenditure budget, through activities such as Challenge Events, World Child Cancer Special Events and Community Fundraising.
• In conjunction with the Individual Giving and Community Fundraising Manager (once in post), set activity budgets and work within them, accurately recording all income and expenditure.
• Manage the charity’s community fundraising programme including, but not limited to, London Marathon, DIY fundraising, and Outlanders group.
• Develop and lead on relationships with gamers to fundraise for World Child Cancer.
• Support the Senior Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager to manage the Ambassador group and delivery of special events.
• Lead on management of the annual Summer and Christmas Ambassador Quiz events.
• Support Senior Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager with corporate fundraising.
• Work with the Marketing Executive to promote our Events and Community activities.
• Work with the Marketing Executive to create content ideas to grow our engagement across digital platforms.
• Represent World Child Cancer at events and activities.
• Ensure all World Child Cancer fundraising activity adheres to GDPR and the Fundraising Regulator Code of Fundraising Practice.

• Demonstrable track record of fundraising from community, events, or individual fundraising.

THE ROLE
This post provides an exciting and rewarding opportunity to help the charity build its profile among national stakeholders while delivering projects that seek to bring an end to fuel poverty and to the misery of cold homes. The role will largely focus on working with the UK Government and local authorities to ensure that efforts to decarbonise homes are in the best interests of NEA’s client group.
You will have responsibility for the production of NEA’s responses to relevant consultations and the ability to produce and deliver briefings on current relevant policies for internal and external audiences. This will include responding to and influencing Government policy across key areas with a particular focus on our work to ensure that energy markets work in the interests of fuel poor households.
You will have a key responsibility for analysing relevant aspects of policy at a local, national and UK level – you will also represent and enhance the co-ordination of NEA’s stakeholder’s relationships and help us capture key insights and impacts from our practical work to ensure these are reflected in policy positions and our advocacy.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
You will have demonstrable experience of developing and/or managing projects in the fields of energy efficiency, community development and regeneration, housing, social policy or consumer issues.
It is important that you have an awareness of the environmental, social and economic problems of deprived areas and the roles of the public, private and voluntary sectors in tackling them.
You will need good organisational skills, as well as excellent written and communication skills, as you will maintain appropriate records and data, and produce regular written reports on project progress.
You will be an excellent communicator, with experience and understanding of how to effectively address the energy needs of low income, vulnerable or disadvantaged householders - with the desire to make a positive difference to people’s lives.

The Learning and Skills Development Co-Ordinator will lead on developing a program of training, learning, volunteering and work experience for the residents of Homeless Oxfordshire that increase self esteem, engagement and motivation. You will work collaboratively and creatively across the organisation, as well as with partners, stake-holders, and the wider community. Improving community relations and help us secure support from local training providers and employers where resident participation in the wider community will help break down stigmas surrounding homelessness and addiction.

We are looking for a Community Events Manager to deliver and portfolio of digital and physical fundraising and engagement events.
This is a Hybrid role with ideally 2 days a week in the Buckinghamshire office.

The Role
Identify, develop, plan and execute a calendar of virtual and physical community fundraising and engagement events and activities, for exmaple, a local Christmas Market, identifying third-party fundraising initiatives and virtual challenges, or leading on the identification and/or development of national events.
Oversee logistics, which may include venue booking, supplier sourcing/coordination, risk assessments and event-day management. Ensuring all events and activities comply with health and safety regulations, risk management policies and GDPR guidelines.
Build your virtual events community through effective use of social platforms/activities, which your Marcoms colleagues will support you to identify and deliver.
Develop and implement stewardship plans to encourage repeat participation and wider engagement in the charity.
Support participants in their fundraising efforts, providing fundraising specific guidance and resource.
Work with the Marcoms team to develop and deliver promotional materials, social media campaigns, and PR opportunities.
Manage events and budgets, ensuring cost-effective planning and maximum ROI.
You will manage an administrator and be supported by a strong team of fundraisers, a marketing department set up to support the development of community activity.
The Candidate
Experience in event management, ideally within the charity or community sector.
Strong fundraising knowledge and experience in income generating events and techniques both physical and through digital channels.
Budget management experience and ability to work within financial targets.
Strong project management and organisational skills.

The role
CGL’s Business Development Team is a large national team. This role will sit within a smaller specialist services sub-team, who have responsibility for retaining existing specialist contracts and winning new business opportunities.
This new fixed-term role will be responsible for leading all business development activities related to the upcoming national Commissioned Rehabilitative Services (CRS) opportunity.
You will work collaboratively with operational and central support colleagues to: develop service delivery models; form national, local, and regional partnerships; lead budgeting; and manage the writing of multiple concurrent tenders.
You will have the opportunity to visit and engage with our staff and service users across the country to learn about our services and specific local needs and challenges.
Ultimately you will play a key role in the design, development and delivery of our services and will help us to deliver on our organisational mission, strategy and values.
About you
You’ll be an experienced manager and leader, with a proven track record in securing and retaining contracts and leading and managing complex tenders in the criminal justice field or services closely aligned to criminal justice.
You’ll be a confined and highly competent communicator and have proven experiencing of developing national and local partnerships.
You’ll be an excellent writer, with experience of writing tenders, bids and proposals for national procurement processes.
You will have excellent IT skills, be highly numerate and be able to analyse and work with complex data and financial information.

Context and purpose of the role

You will join a small, high-performing team responsible for generating £5 million per year from individual giving, legacies, grants and corporate partners, all to deliver the Ramblers ambition for a future where everyone can enjoy the benefits of walking in nature.
Working closely with the Product & Innovation Manager, you will play a key role in delivering the fundraising strategy, leading on the delivery of our individual giving and legacy marketing campaigns across a range of channels. You will create high-quality, compelling campaign materials and ensure an excellent donor experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Income generation
- Play a key role in the implementation and delivery of the individual giving and legacy marketing strategy
- Support the growth of individual giving income in line with annual targets
- Develop and deliver regular cash and legacy marketing appeals to a high level, including:
- Developing propositions and cases for support
- Create compelling direct marketing materials, including writing persuasive copy and developing strong creative content
- Project management to ensure delivery on schedule and within budget
- Managing relationships with agencies and suppliers including design and print
- Manage a portfolio of affiliate fundraising campaigns
Donor stewardship
- Ensure the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is used effectively to facilitate accurate supporter stewardship and reporting
- Effectively manage communications with supporters, including ensuring that donations are thanked appropriately, managing fundraising inboxes, and responding to queries
- Working with the Production & Innovation Manager, identify a pipeline of potential mid- and high-value donors for stewardship and conversion
Data and reporting
- Produce campaign and programme level reporting and analysis
- Work closely with the data team to ensure selections are accurate, timely and relevant to our various audiences, and use income data to make recommendations for future campaigns
- Maintain accurate, up to date and compliant records of individual giving campaigns and appeals
- Provide regular financial reports and reforecasts to the Product & Innovation Manager and Head of Fundraising
Relationships
- Build strong working relationships with staff within various functions of the Ramblers
- Work with other members of the Fundraising, Communications and Supporter Care teams to ensure that all supporter communications are part of an integrated supporter journey
The Person
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Experience working within a target-driven fundraising or direct marketing team, ideally within an individual giving context
- Experience of managing fundraising or marketing projects across a range of channels, such as direct mail, social media and email
- Experience of data-driven marketing campaigns, including segmentation and campaign analysis to meet objectives
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications to a wide range of audiences
- Excellent creative skills, including the ability to write compelling, accurate and persuasive copy across a range of channels
- Competent in the use of IT tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience of working with CRM systems
