Reprieve’s main office is in London, UK. Reprieve also supports full-time Fellows, who work as lawyers, investigators and campaigners in the countries in which we work. We work closely with a number of partner organisations in jurisdictions all over the world, who provide access to clients, expertise, knowledge and guidance on specific issues or regions. We work in cooperation with relevant government officials, individual lawyers and human rights defenders, as well as individual, corporate and foundation funders to further the cause of our shared goals.
About this role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Reprieve team as our Head of Digital and Mass Engagement covering parental leave. With the support of the Deputy Director of Development, you will lead our fast‐moving and creative Mass Engagement Team, who power fundraising across multiple channels. They do this by engaging and building a community of supporters and running campaigns that inspire people to support our work.
As a dynamic leader, you will oversee this area of our work by delivering and implementing Reprieve’s recently launched Mass Engagement strategy. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, as you lead digital campaigns that mobilise Reprieve’s existing community (currently about 95,000 people in the UK and 9,000 in the US) while inspiring others to join the movement.
Our Mass Engagement work is at a pivotal moment. Reprieve’s income from the general public through regular and individual giving, generated largely by email fundraising, has experienced a drop, with many of our supporters understandably reassessing their charitable giving in the face of the economic crisis.
In response to this new context, Reprieve is launching its new strategy and investing creatively to ensure sustained engagement and growth of our incredible community of supporters. Joining the team at this key moment, you will be energised to bring your skills, experience and knowledge to implement and deliver these plans, testing opportunities to diversify and grow the programme.
Salary, contract and location
The annual salary is £59,226 per annum less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance. This is an approximately 9 month fixed-term contract to cover parental leave, beginning in mid-October.
Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work a minimum of 2 days a week from the London office and the rest of the week from home.

This role will join a vibrant and ambitious fundraising team made up of; major giving, trusts and foundations, prospect research, individual giving, community, events, legacies, innovation and supporter experience. The team’s mission is to raise income for our three hospitals to enable them to continue their vital work. This role will make a huge difference in helping us do that.
The post holder will manage our supporter panel, cultivating relationships with panel members. Working closely with the Supporter Experience and Journeys Manager this role will test new journeys, support implementation of new fundraising products and integrated campaigns, championing supporter needs and pain points, ensuring their valuable insights contribute to the enhancement of our supporter experiences and journey initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Supporter Experience and journey best practices
- Identify and improve key pain points in existing supporter journeys; making recommendations for improvements that colleagues can implement and support them on how to measure and report back on those changes.
- Support on measuring supporter satisfaction and testing outputs with supporters.
- Support fundraising colleagues to implement supporter journeys and stewardship programmes across the portfolio to maximise net income and retention of supporters.
- Lead the annual supporter experience and journeys audit, facilitating process discovery workshops to identify pain points and make recommendations on improvements to wider stakeholders and monitor the improvement progress.
- Deliver process maps for all supporter journeys, ensuring they are monitored and kept up to date.
- Review communications against supporter journey maps to ensure the supporters needs are met.
- Help deliver the Supporter Experience and Journey strategy.
- Assist in piloting new stewardship journeys for supporters, ensuring that they feel valued and involved in the charity’s work.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, fundraising, communications, and program delivery, to ensure alignment and integration of supporter experience initiatives across the organization.
Data & Insight
- To work closely with our Supporter Experience and Journey Manager to gather insight with the data team to optimise current personas and identify new personas.
- Manage a supporter feedback panel, recruiting new members and conducting user testing to assess the effectiveness of our journeys, experience, products, and integrated campaigns with them.
- Liaise with the fundraising, supporter care, digital and data teams to identify recurring supporter journey issues and make recommendations for improvements.
- Support on implementing our effectiveness evaluation approach to supporter experiences, journeys, and initiatives. Regularly reporting on key metrics and using findings to drive continuous improvement in collaboration with the digital and data team.
- Support on conducting research and analysis to gain insights into supporter behaviours, preferences, and pain points. Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and enhance supporter journey initiatives.
Driving the adoption of supporter-first approach
- Develop and foster excellent working relationships to establish buy-in for a data-driven and supporter-first approach to fundraising across the charities and be prepared where necessary, with sound rationale, to recommend solutions that meet supporter needs, strategic objectives, and journey best practises.
- Help to drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization within the supporter journey. Implement feedback loops and mechanisms for ongoing refinement of supporter experience strategies.
- When necessary, work with stakeholders to understand detailed operational processes and identify opportunities for a supporter-first approach to help fulfil their requirements.
- Keep up to date with supporter-centric industry trends, techniques, and best practices related to supporter experience and supporter journeys and share learnings with stakeholders.
Work environment
- The post holder should expect to:
- Work in a hybrid hot desk environment, generally working 2 days a week in the London office and three from home.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience of developing best in class user journeys and experiences in the commercial or non-for-profit sector.
- Experience leading complex cross channel journeys or communication plans from start to finish.
- Experience of facilitating or supporting on user research activities including focus groups, surveys, and user testing.
- Experience in reporting, evaluating, and testing.
- Experience of facilitating workshops both virtually and in person.
- Ability to interpret complex requirements and user needs and make recommendations of implementable solutions.
- Proven understanding of how best to use data insight and analysis to make decisions and inform actionable plans.

Main responsibilities for the Fundraising & Membership Officer
Fundraising
- Support the setting of the charity’s fundraising targets through the research and review of both external and internal fundraising activities.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of the charity’s fundraising activities and campaigns.
- Collate the agreed metrics (including income and expenditure) and report on a weekly basis.
- Participate fully in the generation of fundraising ideas and activity selection.
- Design, prepare and implement the agreed activities and campaigns, which are likely to be varied in nature and might include dedicated fundraising events, grant applications to support families in disadvantaged socio-economic groups, and legacy generation.

Position Summary/ Objective
A new role within our European region, the Paid Social Media Specialist will be working closely with our Senior Digital Marketing Lead (UK) to deliver world-class paid media campaigns on multiple digital platforms in multiple countries.
This role will work across IFAW’s four fundraising markets in Europe: France, Germany, Netherlands and the UK to grow our paid media revenue. The role will focus on Social and Search advertising but also to experiment with new emerging platforms.
Directly reporting to the Senior Digital Marking Lead in the UK this role will coordinate and plan new paid social campaigns and content, working closely with the Digital Leads, and the Senior Fundraising and Marketing Manager, to roll these out across our markets. You will work across a variety of channels such as Meta/Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Reddit, Bing, Google, YouTube, Pinterest, Spotify and more.
Role and Responsibilities
Working with the Digital Marketing Lead in each country (France, Germany, Netherlands and UK), the role will:
· Coordinate, develop, execute, and optimize paid digital campaigns from conception to launch and completion across EU fundraising markets.
· Building out media buys for various ad platforms and overseeing the day-to-day execution of paid media to support each market.
· Work closely with Digital Marketing Leads to agree on campaigns, budget allocation and spend, ad grouping and audience targeting.
· Support and contribute to the creative process of building advertising campaigns. Including video creation specifically for advertising.
· Conduct in-depth keyword and website research, and suggest landing pages optimization
· Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
· 5 + years’ experience with digital paid media, specifically with Meta and Google advertising.
· Excellent understanding of creating and implementing paid media campaigns with prior campaign examples (across multiple countries/markets a plus).
· Ideally completed advertising certifications (for example, Meta Certified Media Buying Professional, Google Analytics
· Extensive experience in creating digital ad assets and copy, including video.
· Video creation skills specifically for advertising, experience working with Adobe Creative Suite tools
· Fluency in working with analytics platforms, for example Looker Studio
· Goal driven, extremely analytical, with the ability to make data-based decisions and conclusions
· Excellent communication skills to present the results of campaign performance verbally, as well as provide clear and concise reports.
· Fluent English (spoken French, German or Dutch is a plus).

The Start Funds MEAL Officer will work with colleagues within both SCUK and Start Network. Previously (until May 2019) Start Network and Start Funds and Programmes were hosted by Save the Children UK (SCUK) since its creation in 2012. The position sits within Save the Children UK as a Grant Custodian on behalf of the Start Network supported by a Grant Custodian Agreement (GCA) which describes the roles and commitments of each entity.
About the role
The Start Network funds have a robust monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) portfolio to strengthen evidence-based learning, performance and overall accountability towards the people affected by or at-risk of crises, donors, members, and partners.
Reporting to the Crisis Financing MEAL Lead, the CARF MEAL Officer will play an important role to support the ongoing MEAL activities of anticipation, early action and risk financing initiatives, with a larger focus on the impact of Start Network's newest finance mechanism, Start Ready.
This role will particularly focus on MEAL requirements and activities funded by European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operation (ECHO) and will support and work closely with CARF MEAL Advisor and the Learning and Research Advisor (within the Evidence and Learning Team).
In this role, you will:
Performance
- Support development, monitoring, and reporting of anticipation, early action and risk financing initiatives' Key Performance Indicators used in donor reporting, governance committee meetings and in other external fora as required, with a specific focus on MEAL requirement and activities funded by European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operation (ECHO).
- Strengthen management information systems and processes for data quality, storage and visualisation.
- Contribute towards the identification and implementation of diverse and innovative approaches to MEAL.
- Support the annual post-season learning reviews of the various Disaster Risk Financing systems.
