About the Role:

As our Compliance Officer, you will take the lead on property compliance and certification across Homeless Oxfordshire's housing portfolio. You will oversee safety inspections, manage risk assessments, maintain up-to-date records, and coordinate with contractors and landlords to ensure all remedial and planned works meet health, safety, and housing regulations. We will also entrust you with coordinating employer health and safety regulations. Reporting to the Head of Property and Facilities, your role is central to protecting residents and enabling our operational teams to deliver outstanding service.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

· Ensure all regulatory requirements & certifications are maintained and securely documented (e.g. gas, Electrical safety, legionella, Asbestos, fire alarm and lighting tests etc.), Ready for inspection as required.

· Undertake annual risk assessments for all areas relating to properties (including fire); maintenance and cleaning activities and ensure that relevant details are shared with others appropriately

· Build close relationships with our landlords and providers to ensure any compliance works they are responsible for under the terms of the lease are carried out to the required standard that we are satisfied with along with the local authorities or facilitate the work on their behalf.

· Ensure all HMO licencing information is up to date for all relevant properties and records of HMO Licences are retained on in-form and work together with Local Authorities. Ensure all additional works that are required for licence are completed in a timely manner.

· Oversee weekly and monthly Health and safety inspections for all sites.

· Work with Head of property & Facilities on Health and safety tasks for the organisation

· Contribute towards the budget setting for all planned compliance and health and safety works and ensure this remains within the budget set.

· Promote a high standard of hygiene among staff and residents and ensure controls are in place to reduce the risk of pests, damp, and mould, taking remedial action.

· Remain informed of all relevant property legislation for the private rented sector, HMOs and supported accommodation and implement changes within the organisation to maintain compliance.

· Support operational managers and staff to deliver outstanding services to our residents.

· To take control of the accident reporting, working with managers and SMT to ensure that all staff adhere to the process of reporting these incidents.

· Provide a monthly report to the Head of Property and facilities with compliance for the property portfolio as a minimum.

· Comply with Homeless Oxfordshire’s policies and procedures

Do you have expertise in information management, data governance, and GDPR compliance? Do you have experience developing and delivering data services that support organisational goals and compliance? 

They are looking to recruit an experienced Information Management and GDPR Lead to drive best practices in data governance, privacy, and compliance across our client. This role will develop and manage a data protection service that provides guidance, tools, and resources to help our clients handle personal and non-personal data securely and effectively. You will oversee GDPR compliance, privacy notices, data-sharing agreements, and third-party processing, ensuring a consistent approach across the federation. 

Alongside being their DPO, you will provide specialist support on areas such as subject access requests (SARs), monitor emerging legislation, develop and maintain template agreements, and ensure our client have access to legal expertise via external contractors. A key part of the role will be horizon scanning to keep our client informed and prepared for upcoming regulatory changes, which will include thinking about the governance of artificial intelligence for our client and federation. You will also support shared data services, including the data lake, and help align CRM systems and third-party platforms with compliance requirements. Additionally you will monitor our clients risk exposure and compliance. We expect around 30/50% of the role will be supporting them, with the other up to 70% providing support and consultancy to the Trusts. 

This role is critical in embedding a solid data culture, ensuring Trusts have the right processes and tools to manage their data responsibly, effectively, and in alignment with evolving legal and regulatory frameworks. 

You are an experienced information management and data protection professional with a deep understanding of GDPR and data governance. You have a track record of managing data protection services, providing expert guidance on privacy, compliance, and best practices. You are confident in interpreting and implementing data protection legislation, supporting teams to embed robust information management processes, and ensuring compliance across a complex federated organisation. 

You are skilled in horizon scanning, keeping ahead of emerging data regulations and risks, and ensuring our client remain compliant and proactive in response to legislative changes. Brighter futures works with pupils (aged 13-18), we offer disadvantaged pupils struggling to engage with the regular school curriculum the opportunity to undertake a volunteering placement as well as the option of having a mentor.  We support and empower pupils to gain skills and confidence in a new environment within the wider community, promoting a sense of belonging, whilst extending horizons and aspirations.

We are looking for a talented, dynamic, and compassionate Youth Engagement Manager to join our team in Edinburgh. The right candidate would be someone who can work flexibly and demonstrate an understanding and total commitment to our organisational values.  This role will be working in partnership with St Thomas of Aquins R.C High School, the member of staff will be expected to work within the school.

 Key Duties & Responsibilities 

· To build relationships with secondary school pupils, particularly those on flexible timetables, who have complex and challenging barriers, acting in a non-judgemental way to support them through their Brighter Futures journey

· Consistently role modelling and displaying Volunteering Matters organisational values

· Deliver and develop the Brighter Futures Schools programme within in St Thomas of Aquins R.C High School, meeting ambitious targets and milestones, ensuring all young people engaged achieve positive outcome.

· Provide pre and post volunteering practical and emotional support to each pupil, helping to build their confidence and identify achievable goals as well support the pupil to complete awards and qualifications linked to their volunteering.

· Engaging with current charity partners, not for profit organisations and social enterprises and developing new ones in line with our Best Practice for under 18’s volunteering. 

· Develop diverse, high quality and bespoke volunteer placements with third sector partners that reflect the needs and interests of pupils.

· Effective recruitment, selection, training, and ongoing support of a diverse pool of talented and dedicated volunteer mentors from a wide cross-section of the community

· To maintain Volunteering Matters standards around quality and effective Volunteer Management

· To manage all elements of a young person’s experience, from referral to completion of their journey, including managing the match with their mentor.

· To manage the risk assessment, safeguarding, quality assurance and audit processes as appropriate

· Ensure monitoring, impact and evaluation information is collected and that Brighter Futures meets it’s agreed targets, reporting format and schedule.

Location: A large part of your working week will be based at St Thomas of Aquins R.C High School or visiting our charity partner sites across the city. 3. About the role

The Office and Fundraising Administrator is an important role within Save the Rhino, supporting key functions primarily within our Fundraising and Operations pillars.

Reporting to the Operations and Finance Lead, the Office and Fundraising Administrator undertakes a range of administration and finance tasks to support office management, financial management, and fundraising, and is one of the first points of contact for our supporters and members. The Office and Fundraising Administrator will need to work regularly with Microsoft Office documents, spreadsheets and presentations, and with our Salesforce-based supporter and donation management systems. The Office and Fundraising Administrator also supports the Fundraising Team with aspects of supporter engagement and manages SRI’s volunteer programme.

In addition, depending on the experience and interests of the successful candidate, there may be opportunities to develop other skill sets.

4. Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Office and Fundraising Administrator are to:

• Work with the Operations and Finance Lead, including:
  • recruitment and management of office volunteers and providing admin support to recruitment processes;
  • financial administration, including importing and reconciling donations and other income, logging and banking cheques and cash;
  • overseeing the management of SRI’s office, including booking annual inspections / tests, carrying out regular fire-safety checks, liaising with suppliers and contractors, and acting as the lead Fire Marshall;
  • acting as a second point of contact with SRI’s IT contractors, maintaining logs of equipment and licence allocations, acting as an Administrator on some IT services (depending on experience), and inducting new team members on key SRI IT platforms;
  • managing stocks of stationery, office consumables and equipment; assisting with booking work-related travel / accommodation for team members and volunteers, as well as occasional booking of external meeting rooms, venues etc.; assisting with administration of Board / subcommittee meetings, including diary management; and maintaining a log of SRI’s policies, and their review dates.
• Support the Community Fundraising Manager, including:
  • managing communications with fundraisers; setting up appointments; assisting with event preparation and logistics; welcoming fundraisers when visiting the office; assisting with the recruitment of London Marathon runners;
  • recruiting and managing event volunteers; creating and maintaining accurate records of fundraisers, donors and volunteers using SRI’s Salesforce CRM; and helping to set up fundraising and campaign pages on fundraising platforms.
• Support the wider fundraising team through:
  • engaging with SRI’s members, including: sending out membership packs, responding to queries, and chasing failed payments;
  • assisting with updating the online merchandise shop and creating bespoke stores for specific events, e.g. in schools;
  • monitoring participation in SRI’s lottery, importing player information into Salesforce, and providing monthly reports to the local council; and updating records linked to legacies.
• Support general office administration
  • answering general enquiries via the phone and main office inbox; receiving post; taking payments over the phone; taking notes of the weekly team meeting; and other tasks as needed and consistent with the role.

The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for all individual donor support processes, systems, strategies and individual giving fundraising appeals, which ensure we have excellent relationships with our donors to retain and grow our individual giving income. Powerful narratives, storytelling and engagement with donors is crucial to ensure that our funding need and impact is shared with supporters. 

The Individual Giving Manager will work with the Head of Fundraising and Deputy CEO to grow our major donor, regular giving, appeal and legacy income alongside sustaining our irregular giving and Gift Aid income. The Individual Giving Manager will line manage the Fundraising Assistant, which is a new entry-level fundraising role responsible for the development and day-to-day administration of our community fundraising income stream for individuals and our corporate community.
