About the role

This role will support Kinship to operate as an effective charity by ensuring effective day-to-day operations and seamless delivery of the People function at the charity.

You will bring your People leadership experience, attention to detail and excellent communication skills to the role. You will be structured in your approach to ensure that day-to-day issues are handled while also working to improve processes and systems. You will be credible with senior management and able to articulate and balance the trade-offs of a People leadership role.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Work with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the Executive management team to design, develop and embed a high-quality HR function to support the employee life cycle.

• Responsible for ensuring all policies, procedures, and processes relating to people and culture, work effectively, efficiently and in line with legal requirements.

• Responsible for all People matters, ensuring they are handled fairly and consistently in line with policies and procedures.

• Support and advise line managers on People, EDI and change management activities, including promotions, disciplinary, capability and grievance procedures.

• Organise line manager training to ensure line managers understand their responsibilities and apply policies consistently.

• Responsible for the candidates’ recruitment experience. Ensure candidates receive a consistent and professional recruitment experience.

• Responsible for job descriptions, person specifications, recruitment packs and job adverts.

• Ensure offboarding processes are robust and implemented consistently to safeguard the charity’s assets and to comply with Data Protection rules.

• Lead on the delivery and growth of the ‘Kinship Friendly Employers’ scheme, driving growth in the scheme and the number of bronze, silver and gold partners

• Ensure Kinship role models ‘Kinship Friendly’ employment practices and seek opportunities to share these as examples with other HR professionals.

• Support fundraising efforts with corporate supporters who are ‘Kinship Friendly Employers’

Essential criteria includes:

• Work closely with the Finance Department to align fundraising efforts with financial objectives, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Identify and secure grant funding opportunities, including the preparation of high-quality applications and maintaining relationships with funders.
• Support parishes in designing and delivering local stewardship campaigns, ensuring consistency in messaging and impact.
• Procure and implement an appropriate CRM system, working with key stakeholders to ensure effective donor management and fundraising efficiency.

2. Digital and Online Giving

• Support parishes in growing regular and ad hoc online donations by:
• Developing and promoting digital giving solutions across parishes, including training and implementation support.
• Expanding online giving platforms to improve accessibility and donor engagement.

3. Donor Relationships and Stewardship

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key donors, including major benefactors, grant funders, and parish-level supporters.
• Implement donor stewardship strategies to retain and grow the donor base through regular communication, engagement opportunities, and recognition initiatives.
• Foster a culture of stewardship across the Diocese communicating the difference it makes.
• Provide regular updates and high-quality reports, driven by Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), on fundraising performance and initiatives.
• Report on fundraising outcomes to senior management and the Board of Trustees, ensuring alignment with the Diocese’s mission and strategic priorities.

4. Parish Support and Capacity Building

• Equip parishes with tools, training, guidance, and hands-on support to run successful local fundraising initiatives.
• Facilitate workshops and support sessions for parish fundraising committees, helping them develop sustainable funding strategies.
• Support the promotion and coordination of Second Collections across the Diocese for key causes, ensuring that parishes are well-equipped with:
• Clear guidance on collection dates and processes.
• Good-quality promotional materials (posters, leaflets, digital assets) to help communicate the impact of these collections.
• Regular updates on fundraising results to encourage participation and engagement.

5. Compliance, Policy Development, and Governance

• Develop and implement fundraising policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
• Stay up to date with fundraising laws and best practices, ensuring all activities meet Charity Commission, GDPR, and financial regulations.
• Ensure that data protection regulations are upheld in all fundraising activities, particularly regarding donor records and CRM management.

6. Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with the Communications Manager to ensure that fundraising messages align with Diocesan values and the Mission Plan.
• Share compelling impact stories to inspire and encourage giving across the Diocese.

7. Meeting Attendance and Reporting

• Attend meetings of the Finance, Audit, and Risk Committee, providing updates on fundraising activities and seeking necessary approvals.
• Participate in parish meetings across the Diocese as required, offering fundraising guidance and support.
• Maintain a professional approach to both in-person and online meetings.

8. Ad Hoc Duties

Competence, Expertise and Knowledge:

• Degree level education
• Proven track record of delivering significant fundraising results in the charity sector, with demonstrable experience of achieving and exceeding financial targets.

Job Description  

Reporting to the Head of Income Generation and Fundraising, we are looking for someone with a passion for helping vulnerable young people to achieve their potential and who is excited by playing their part in raising funds towards our £1 million target. Working in our small Income Generation Team, you will have responsibility for writing compelling proposals and reports that showcase the impact of our work. You will have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with current and potential funders, building and stewarding our restricted income pipeline which you will own.

We are looking for someone with a strong track record of securing funding, preferably within the youth, sport for development or health & wellbeing sector. Strong attention to detail is essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Fundraising and business development  

• Write compelling funding proposals and cases for support, from £5000 to £100,000s

• Own and grow Trusts and Grants pipeline, identifying and researching new funding opportunities 

• Cultivate and steward relationships with new and existing funders

Relationship Management 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential funders

About Chapter One

Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. 

Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme currently supports about 3,000 children a year. It pairs disadvantaged, struggling five to eight-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who come from over 140 local and national businesses. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.

About the role 

Chapter One is seeking a proactive, energetic and enthusiastic Corporate Partnerships Manager to be an integral part of a team which aims to both maximise corporate income and deliver an excellent partner and volunteer experience. 

Reporting to our Head of Corporate Partnerships, and responsible for the line management of our Corporate Partnerships Officer, you’ll deliver on our annual volunteer and income targets and maintain our strong partner retention rate (target 87%). This will involve supporting the account management of a portfolio of existing partners and the responsibility to nurture relationships to increase partner investment in Chapter One over time. The role involves collaborating across departments to ensure a seamless and positive experience for volunteers and partners

This is an opportunity for an experienced partnerships manager to take on a more senior role and demonstrate their sales acumen and creativity in a dynamic, flexible and agile charity.

Key Responsibilities

Partner Stewardship

• Lead the account management of a selected portfolio of corporate partners, ensuring Chapter One achieves its annual retention and growth targets 

• In collaboration with the Head of Corporate Partnerships, devise effective schemes of delegation and partner allocation within the Corporate Partnerships Team 

• Focus, in all corporate partnership discussions, on maximising income 

• Identify opportunities to increase a partner’s support eg by identifying other regional/divisional opportunities or inclusion of Chapter One as a social value partner in public sector bids

• Conduct regular partnership meetings, including mid and end of year reviews, proactively proposing tailored opportunities to retain and grow partner support

• Lead on producing high quality written communications, reports, proposals and pitches as per the requirements of each partner, collaborating with the Data and Systems Officer and Fundraising team as needed

• Advocate effectively, with passion and enthusiasm, for Chapter One’s programmes in a variety of internal and external settings

• Proactively network to deepen and strengthen external relationships with Chapter One partners, identifying speaking opportunities for Chapter One where possible

• Strategically use LinkedIn to identify, connect with, and actively engage key stakeholders within corporate partner organisations,

• Attend conference and events to represent Chapter One and talk about its work to existing and potential new partners

• Keep up to date with relevant business news and strategic shifts or developments at key partners and sectors, proactively seeking opportunities to broaden knowledge

• Line manage and develop the Corporate Partnerships Officer, ensuring adherence to all Chapter One’s HR Policies and Procedures

• Be a source of advice and guidance for the Corporate Partnerships Officer as they manage their allocated partner relationships

• Supervise the Corporate Partnerships Officer to lead volunteer recruitment meetings, including stepping in if necessary

• Supervise the Corporate Partnerships Officer to manage new partner onboarding meetings, stepping in to lead them if required

Partner/volunteer onboarding and experience

• Alongside the Head of Corporate Partnerships, use internal systems to assign partner teams and volunteers to specific schools and ensure that their needs are met

• Develop proactive, supportive relationships with Volunteer Coordinators in partner organisations, providing high-quality data and information in a timely manner

• Work closely with the Volunteer Support Team to ensure that partner and volunteer onboarding is a smooth, time-efficient experience 

• Support the Programme Management team to liaise with partner contacts about the organisation of in-person school/office visits and virtual meet and greets

• Attend Chapter One’s internal Volunteer Experience group and Corporate Engagement Group.

Marketing and Communications

• Work with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure that companies and volunteers have access to an array of promotional assets and recruitment materials

• Create and provide content for the regular volunteer and corporate partner newsletters, including working with partners to gather volunteer testimonials and partner profiles

• Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to develop ways to promote, showcase and celebrate partnerships and individual volunteers across our social media channels and other digital platforms

• Encourage corporate partners to promote Chapter One through their own social media and channels

• Support the organisation of online and in person partner and volunteer recognition events

We are looking for the following key skills, though you might be more experienced in some areas than others:

Account Management Skills:

• Experience of managing Corporate Partnerships, or equivalent relationship-based roles in a fundraising, events, sales or marketing environment

A proven history in driving and maintaining KPIs, compliance, and quality.

A confident use of tools like Word, Excel, and other everyday IT systems.

You will need to work flexibly, as required and be prepared to frequently travel across the area

Purpose of the Role 

The Helpline Manager will manage and provide support and advice to a team of Helpline Support, Caseworkers, IDVA, and Helpline volunteers who will be handling calls. The role will also include occasionally providing helpline cover during staff shortages. The helpline supports women on more than 45 different issues with most of the calls relate to violence against women and girls (VAWG) as well as mental health and wellbeing. The Helpline Manager will be responsible in ensuring that the service continues to be culturally sensitive and be able to respond to a diverse population of women with complex needs; managing the rota for staff and volunteers, ensuring there is sufficient helpline cover, identifying and managing safeguarding issues, monitoring staff performance, maintaining the helpline database, and providing helpline data to other staff. 

The role will also include occasionally attending external stakeholder meetings and raising awareness of the helpline service. The Helpline Manager will also have some involvement in other MWNUK projects, services and activities as required. The role requires a proactive, organised and practical approach to ensure MWNUK’s projects are delivered effectively and efficiently, providing high quality support and customer service across the organisation, both internally and externally.

Main responsibilities 

• Supervising the Helpline team of 11 staff (however this is equivalent to 3 full-time staff per day only) and ensuring there is sufficient helpline cover and monitoring their wellbeing. 

• Recruiting and training helpline staff and volunteers with the support of senior management and ensuring their development needs are flagged up. 

• Monitoring performance of helpline staff through daily check-ins, debriefs, monthly supervision meetings and annual appraisals. 

• Holding regular helpline team meetings and sharing learning as well as identifying and sharing interesting cases with Senior Leadership Team including the Advocacy Officer. 

• Planning and delivering training to staff and volunteers in line with changes in law, policies and procedures, including safeguarding. 

• Regularly attending external meetings such as MARAC (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference), liaising with police, social services, and other partner agencies. These meetings are a critical part of safeguarding and time for preparation and follow-up is built into the role.

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, unlike NHS emergency services, is a charity. The free life-saving service is provided 24/7 by helicopters and by rapid response vehicles.

The Systems Manager oversees, develops and maintains our internal central systems, in particular the CRM system, Podio. They act as a champion of good use of systems and processes and their value in helping us become more effective as a charity.

We are looking for a talented Marketing Manager to lead and deliver inspiring campaigns that extend our reach, deepen engagement, and strengthen our mission. This is a pivotal role in shaping how we connect with audiences, share powerful stories, and grow support for our work.

At Elam, we are dedicated to supporting the church in the Iran region and beyond. Through discipleship tools like the Safar app, digital resources, and impactful storytelling, we equip and inspire believers while strengthening relationships with partners and donors.

This is a pivotal new role, enabling us to craft more compelling narratives, extend our reach, and connect with new audiences in meaningful ways.

The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Marketing and Communications Director and the Communications team to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that amplify our mission, promote our core product offerings such as the Safar Discipleship app, and strengthen relationships with donors and partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Strategy and Planning:
  • Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing Director to create and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies, including annual plans, campaigns, creative direction, customer journeys and target audience insights.
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels to support Elam’s core product offerings, with a particular focus on the Safar Discipleship app.
• Campaign Execution and Management:
  • Oversee the production of a wide range of marketing assets, working closely with copywriters and designers to ensure brand consistency.
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate marketing campaigns, including organic and paid media strategies, to achieve acquisition and retention goals.
• Content Development:
  • Help shape Elam’s story, creating compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, inspire action, and build awareness.
  • Develop impactful marketing materials, including annual reports, publications, email campaigns, and digital content.
• Performance Analysis:
  • Track, measure, and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations to optimise future initiatives.
  • Monitor the quality of the marketing database, ensuring it supports effective campaign execution and donor engagement.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Work collaboratively across teams to ensure marketing efforts align with organisational goals and priorities.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including donors, partners, and creative agencies.
• Industry Awareness:
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to ensure Elam’s marketing remains innovative and effective.

Essential:

• 3+ years of experience in marketing strategy development and execution.
• Experience producing a wide range of marketing materials, including digital content and publications.
• Strong IT skills, including familiarity with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress), marketing analytics tools, and email marketing platforms.
• Ability to analyse data to evaluate campaign performance and inform decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.

Desirable:

• Experience managing a campaign budget and optimising resources effectively.
• Knowledge of Google Analytics and CRM platforms.
• Familiarity with design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe InDesign) and creative asset production.

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Events and Stewardship Manager, to manage the planning, delivery  and evaluation of high impact  events and stewardship initiatives that engage and inspire prospects, donors and our partners: 

• Events: Taking a proactive approach to project management, this role will have responsibility for delivering a range of events across our global event portfolio. These events underpin Mission 44’s fundraising goals, especially for HNWI and corporate audiences. 

• Stewardship: As part of the fundraising team, the post-holder will deliver exceptional support and experiences for our current donors including production of impact-focused reports,  personalised communications and moments that build community for Mission 44’s growing donor base. 

It is expected the role will have a  60:40 split between events management and stewardship activities.  This role is ideal for a skilled planner, exceptional collaborator, and a strong writer, capable of supporting the delivery of exceptional donor experiences, stewardship communications, progress reports and materials that showcase Mission 44’s impact. It is worth noting whilst Mission 44’s events portfolio is global, this role will have minimal international travel. 

Key Responsibilities

Special Events Management 

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of global events within Mission 44’s portfolio, including donor and prospect dinners, trackside activations and flagship fundraising galas.

• Lead on core event logistics plans, including venue searches, supplier contracting, building of accurate run of shows and production schedules for multi-day events. 

• Produce quality briefing materials for event participants, staff, trustees, donors and impact partners. 

• Support the wider Fundraising team with securing sponsorship, ticket sales, and securing auction items. This includes production of targeted collateral for outreach. 

• Produce quality and timely evaluation for events activities that capture key learnings, recommendations and event ROI. 

• Work closely with the Fundraising Data and Operations Manager to ensure that events and stewardship data is updated in a accurately and timely manner to our CRM system (Virtuous). 

• Work closely with the Communications Team to ensure events materials are aligned with brand and messaging. 

Stewardship: Donor Communications and Reporting 

• Deliver exceptional donor experiences, including impact-focused reports,  personalised communications, and bespoke touch-points with impact partners and the Mission 44 team. 

• Oversee the preparation and submission of specific donor reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with donor guidelines and grant agreements. 

• Manage select bespoke stewardship projects which strengthen relationships with donors especially our corporate partners

• Work closely with our Impact and Finance teams to gather data, track progress, and strengthen internal reporting processes. 

• Work closely with the Communications Team to ensure that donor communications are consistent with our brand and messaging.

• Maintain accurate records of donor and partner interactions using our CRM system (Virtuous).

Desired Skills and Qualifications

Essential: 

• Proven experience of project managing either bespoke events, campaigns, fundraising initiatives  from conception to evaluation. 

• Proven experience managing special events for HNWI and corporate prospects and donors 

• Understanding of stewardship and supporter journey – experience of improving the donor experience and/or developing a partnership via event participation. 

• Experience of managing a wide range of senior stakeholders and external suppliers with demonstrable knowledge of working with event venues in delivering health & safety, catering and production requirements, registration systems, sponsor requirements, AV technology, supporting high-profile talent, staff and volunteers. 

• Strong track record of producing high quality written materials including reports 

• Experience of working with fundraising CRM systems / guest management systems. 

Desirable: 

• Excellent track record, and evidence of delivering income growth through event fundraising. 

• Project management qualification such as Agile, Prince II or Scrum. 

• Strong experience of developing branded materials for events and written communications, and a good understanding of applying brand guidelines. 

• Experience of working with young people and embedding safeguarding policies in event delivery 

• Experience of working within an international setting
