The Corporate Volunteering Manager plays a central role in this by managing our successful and impactful Corporate Volunteering Programme. Each year through this programme, we train hundreds of volunteers from our corporate partners to visit primary schools and share examples of how maths has helped them as adults, both in their careers and personal lives.

This crucial work helps change us to the inter-generational narrative about numeracy in the UK. Maths is not just something you ‘have to do at school’, but is a valuable skill that helps us get on at work, and manage our time and our money. The programme has been running for three years now, and this year’s activity looks set to have meaningful impact on at least 17,000 children across the UK.

You will be responsible for ensuring that volunteers are adequately trained, for recruiting appropriate schools for them to visit, and all the admin and reporting that supports the programme.

We are looking for someone who can ‘own the programme’, is committed to improving our processes and the efficiency of delivery, with strong line management skills, and a commitment to the professional development for the Corporate Volunteering Programmes Assistant.

National Numeracy is based in Brighton, East Sussex, but we are offering significant remote/hybrid and flexible working with this role. If you are not office based, then the expectation is that you will be in Brighton at least occasionally when the work requires it. The role may include occasional travel to London and beyond.

Location: Hybrid – work from home, school, or office as needed
Hours: 37.5 per week (Term time) – Full time, part time, and job share options available
Salary: £63,372 (pro-rated to £57,738 based on 41 working weeks)

The Role

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering specialist psychological reports for key stakeholders and professionals within the wider network.
• Using applied psychology to co-create strategies that remove barriers to learning for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
• Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and needs analyses to ensure tailored, effective support.
• Collaborating in our Trust-wide Clinical MDT, contributing to supervision, and engaging in quarterly learning spaces.
• Supporting and mentoring Assistant Psychologists, and helping shape training placements for future Educational Psychologists.
• Delivering inspiring training programmes within the Trust and to external partners.
• Upholding the highest professional standards (BPS and HCPC) and committing to ongoing professional development.
• Helping raise the profile of our Therapy and Specialist Support Services through learning papers and wider professional engagement.

About You

You’re a confident, compassionate professional who thrives on collaboration and innovation. You’ll bring:

• A Doctorate in Educational Psychology and HCPC registration.
• Significant post-qualification experience supporting children and young people in educational settings.
• Expertise working with complex needs, including learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, and mental health challenges.
• In-depth knowledge of current educational systems and SEND frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, parents, carers, and professionals.

Kineara has a new vacancy for an experienced Housing support worker to join our small and dedicated team for our new School Housing Advice project.

About the project 

The School Housing Advice Support Project builds on the success of a pilot program and aims to provide tailored housing advice and support to families, particularly those living in temporary accommodation (TA). The project started in January 2025 and is currently being delivered at three primary schools in the borough of Southwark.

The initiative offers practical housing advice, casework, workshops, and legal support through a collaborative partnership between Kineara and Southwark Law Centre. It also addresses challenges such as poor housing conditions, legal proceedings, and impacts on families' health and wellbeing.

About the role 

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and compassionate support worker to deliver housing advice and practical support to parents from four Primary Schools in Southwark. This role involves conducting housing surgeries, providing follow-up casework, and running workshops to empower clients with the knowledge and skills to address their housing-related issues. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to identify their needs and offer tailored solutions to help them achieve sustainable housing outcomes. The role will be based mostly in Southwark, and you will be working in partnership with schools, community organisations and the council to coordinate tailored support for each client to avoid eviction and sustain tenancies, address suitability of the property, mediating with landlords where necessary and providing advice for onward housing when needed. The objectives of these programmes are to avoid evictions, sustain tenancies or move to a better suited property, improve wellbeing and awareness of tenancy rights and housing polices.

About you 

• You will have experience of working with families and individuals with complex needs, as well as some experience of providing housing support.
• You will be an enthusiastic person who has empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to working with clients and who thrives when working independently with a passion to support change.
• You will have excellent interpersonal skills. 
• Have good knowledge of housing policies and tenants' rights, experience of delivering holistic support.
• You will be a solution-minded thinker, have a good understanding of strength-based approaches and be able work committing to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of work.
