About the roles
Project Manager – Client (Permanent contract)
In this role, you will help ensure the smooth delivery of our project management services for older and vulnerable homeowners across Bristol. You’ll provide high-quality advice on housing, repairs and independent living, supporting clients to:
- repair or adapt their homes
- access essential works that enable safe hospital discharge
- explore suitable alternative housing options
- understand available funding routes
Working closely with our technical project managers, who diagnose defects, design and specify works, and oversee on-site delivery, you will guide clients through the process with clarity and confidence. Strong judgement, a proactive approach and an empathetic manner are essential, along with good organisational, numerical and IT skills.
Project Manager – Client (12-month fixed term – Making Space Project)
This role focuses on our Making Space project, supporting clients who need help decluttering or reorganising their homes to improve safety, wellbeing and independence.
You will:
- coordinate and manage a caseload
- provide information, advice and options
- offer practical and emotional support with decluttering
- help clients make informed decisions about their home environment
- collaborate with colleagues and external partners
This is a deeply person-centred role requiring a trauma-informed, sustainable approach to reduce risks, improve wellbeing and support tenancy sustainment.

As a Grants and Foundations Officer, you will work closely with senior managers and service managers, researching potential funders, securing funding from trusts, foundations and other potential funding partners. As one of two Helplines Operations Managers, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of ISWAN’s helplines to ensure our services provide accurate information, appropriate advice, and comprehensive support to seafarers and their families.
You will manage the development of Salesforce and be familiar with Salesforce reporting, particularly using advanced tools like Power BI and Tableau. You will be confident liaising with our IT support service on system issues and developments.

About this role
The Veterinary Adviser will join SPANA’s team of advisers in the Global Animal Health and Welfare Directorate (AHW), which is closely aligned with the Global Programmes Department. About the role
The Senior Research and Evaluation Adviser will work to position King’s College London as a sector leader on conducting institutional evaluation and research to understand how we can support students from underrepresented groups to access university and succeed at university. Our team generates causal evidence either through Randomised Controlled Trials or Quasi-experimental designs, as well as correlational and qualitative evidence.

Main Purpose of the Role:
To provide proactive, emotional, and practical support to families and individuals affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) across England. The role will focus on early engagement, wellbeing assessment, community building, and delivery of workshops and events, while ensuring accurate tracking of support outcomes and data.
The successful candidate will also lead on support for our End of Life and Bereavement projects, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals, palliative care teams, and hospices to ensure families have access to appropriate services and resources.
Specific Tasks:
1. Proactive Family Support

Initiate contact with newly registered families within agreed timeframes (email within 3 working days, call within 7–10 working days)

2. Advanced and End-of-Life Care Support

Provide compassionate, practical, and emotional support to children, young people, and adults living with Duchenne, and their families, as they navigate advanced stages of the condition and end-of-life care.

Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, palliative care teams, and hospices to ensure families have access to appropriate services and resources.

Develop and share guidance, resources, and workshops to help families prepare for and manage advanced care planning, symptom management, and emotional wellbeing.

Support families in understanding available options for care settings (home, hospice, hospital) and facilitate informed decision-making.

Ensure continuity of care and communication between multidisciplinary teams, while respecting family preferences and cultural considerations.

Offer signposting to bereavement support and follow-up services for families after loss.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To assist with handling all incoming requests for help, both by telephone and email, to listen to and record the needs of elderly and/or terminally ill people and their pets (ie Owner needs). To identify individuals outside our charitable remit and refer to other organisations that can offer assistance and always seek advice in the case of doubt.
Where help is required, to raise a computerised record to log the case, task volunteers nationwide by telephone and email to offer assistance to elderly Owners with the pet care and reassurance needed in order to honour our mission statement of “Peace of mind for owners, love care and safety for their pets”. Liaise with both Owner and volunteer throughout to ensure the delivery of our service. This post will require a good overall understanding of the needs of elderly people and their pets.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
i. To assist in contacting volunteers nationwide by telephone and email and tasking by telephone as required to help Owners with their pets.
ii. To listen to the needs of each Owner and accurately record information for each Owner and their pet by completion of a computerised case to record volunteers assigned and the service provided.
iii. To ensure you record all of your communications onto the database in an accurate and timely fashion by way of comments on each Owner case at the end of each conversation.
iv. To help maintain up-to-date records and mailing lists for Owners, Owners’ contacts and volunteers throughout the course of your work.
v. To ensure the appropriate delivery and quality of service provided to Owners when you are handling a request for:-
a) Dog Walking
Task a minimum of two volunteers per case to assist with dog walking. Contact all volunteers after their first dog walk to check and ensure they have started, log all responses onto the database, then complete the case.
b) Home Checks
When a potential long term fosterer is identified, you will be asked to task a volunteer to visit and carry out a home check. Once the completed home check has been received, complete the case – (all home checks will be valid for 12 months).
c) Short Term Fostering (stf)
To initially gather as much information about the pet(s) as you can and how soon a foster is required. Raise a case and log all details onto the database, begin a computerised search for a suitable volunteer to foster, arrange transport, if needed, to take the pet(s) to the volunteer and follow up 24 hours after the pet arrives to ensure all is well. Keep in touch weekly.
If the pet goes home – arrange transport to take the pet back home, again follow up 24 hours after the pet has returned home with a phone call to the Owner to ensure all is well. If dog walking or any other assistance is needed, raise a new case and task the appropriate volunteers to either dog walk, offer Pet Care, reassure etc.
If the pet(s) goes into long term foster – refer to your line manager, once a decision is made, then follow the protocols for Long Term Fostering see below.
d) Long Term Fostering (ltf)
Raise a Long Term Foster Case, if needed, identify and chat to potential individuals, all of whom must already be home checked, run through the home check with the person to identify any changes, refer to your line manager, once the right individual is selected, arrange transport to take the pet(s) to their new ltf home. Once the pet(s) have arrived, follow up 24 hours later to ensure all is well.
e) Pet Care
When required, task a volunteer to visit a Owner and offer pet care, whether it is to administer medicine, groom, clean out a litter tray, bird cage, reassure, or any other pet care as agreed with your line manager as this is not an exhaustive list.
f) Talks
To task a volunteer to give a talk, attend an event, or represent The Trust but always take advice from your line manager with regard to appropriate volunteers for these tasks.
v. To liaise with all other members of The Trust to help maintain a quality service.
vi. To contribute to the team by helping to update volunteer and Owner cases in the course of your communications.
vii. To help maintain filing and filing systems related to your work.
viii. To liaise with all other staff of The Trust in a flexible manner.
ix. To liaise with all Owners and members of the general public in a polite and helpful way.
x. To be familiar with and adhere to procedures and protocols, disciplinary and applicable rules and ensure compliance with legislations (Health and Safety, Data Protection, especially the privacy of members, Owners and volunteers alike).

About The Bridge Homelessness To Hope
We began in 2008 with a mission to help people who are homeless in Leicester by providing them with hot food, drinks and most importantly, companionship and we have evolved from there to the service we provide today.
Our staff team and volunteers derive from many backgrounds and religions, all with one common goal: to help those who are on the street move from despair to hope.
We are an outreach to the homeless and to those who just have nowhere to go and no-one to turn to. Through our Hub we support those who are hardest to reach by seeking to:

Purpose of the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Operations Manager ensures the effective day-to-day running of The Bridge Homelessness To Hope’s services — including Drop-In Hub and supported accommodation — maintaining safe, high-quality delivery and ensuring that staff and volunteers are supported to provide compassionate and effective support for people experiencing homelessness.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership and Management
· Work with the CEO to ensure The Bridge Homelessness To Hope’s mission and values are lived out in practice.
